    @BaconRoll Ha

  • Bobcat 7.2 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot You got it wrong. If the fuselage gets bigger, that's like getting fat; if the engines get bigger, that's like gaining muscle.

  • Moray 7.2 years ago

    @Adam12 Oh, that BFR. Here's another BFR.

  • Vicius 7.2 years ago

    @Adam12 Mica the mineral?

  • Bobcat 7.2 years ago

    Thanks, @Treadmill103. You mean texture? :)

  • Bobcat 7.2 years ago

    Thanks, @DrNic. Did you try turning afterburner on? Also, AG2 increases the pitch authority. I generally don't build cockpits as I prefer an unobstructed view.

  • Bobcat 7.2 years ago

    Thanks, @Spectre2520. Yeah, I kept the speeds slower on this one.

  • SR-71 Blackbird v03 7.2 years ago

    @lancelot3340 Numbers. It's just numbers.

  • Bobcat 7.2 years ago

    Thanks, @Americancheese12

  • Moray 7.2 years ago

    @Adam12 What's a BFR?

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @mauripeke25 It comes down to:

    • enough lift
    • enough thrust
    • correct placement of control surfaces and engines

    That's it.

  • GT Motors 4 by 4 offroad edition 7.2 years ago

    Handles quite well, and is good at climbing hills. The only thing I'd recommend is to limit the top speed. At the moment it keeps going past 200. Also, if you care about aesthetics, the body needs work.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @bang091 Yeah I'm fine, thanks.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 Like this

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @bang091 Haven't been building anything, been busy with other stuff.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Bman01 Yeah, that's the idea, pretty much.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 Whatever you like...

  • Hercules 7.2 years ago

    @DeltaElite2003 It's not supposed to move on its own at all. If you retract landing gear and pitch down, it will rise. If you then let go of the pitch control, it will hover in place. It does have a gyro, on by default (AG8).

  • Ghost 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12

    • Much bigger screen.
    • More power to handle large builds.
    • Mouse + keyboard beats touch controls by a wide margin.
    • Generally much more efficient for building anything.

  • Ghost 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 bigger builds have lots of advantages.

  • Hornet Defense Industries PI-25 7.2 years ago

    It really is very good at climbing hills. Nice work.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 Move the slider?

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Mods are supported on Android, but not iOS.

  • Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka model 22 Banzaiiiiiiiiiiiiiii 7.2 years ago

    @grizzlitn Pas de quoi :)

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Yup. Mobiles are toys compared to PCs.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    Thanks, @BaconRoll. I actually based it on the Northrop Gamma 2D, but now that you mention it, it resembles the H-1 too.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @ThomasRoderick Yeah, I get that now, no worries :)

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @ThomasRoderick Oh, that I-16. When you said "starfighter," I thought you meant a fictional spaceplane from a movie or anime or something. Now I get it. Yeah, the I-16 is pretty cool looking.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 I write code to generate shapes out of fuselage blocks.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @ThomasRoderick Sorry for what? There's nothing to be sorry about. No one's supposed to just know what something's based on. What's the I-16 from? I've never heard of it.

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Here you go.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 It's just curved sections. I've posted kits before: 1 and 2.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @ThomasRoderick It's actually based on the Northrop Gamma 2D.

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @ballisticbullets I've already given away my VTOL tech and weapons :) I meant my ideas. You can copy a design, but you can't copy the thing that comes up with the designs.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot Sure, go ahead.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Americancheese12 If you modify a build and upload it, it keeps a reference to the predecessor and gives credit automatically.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Countache27 OK, that actually sounds interesting. I'll see what I can do.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Spectre2520 Depends on how much imagination you have. To me, this is the best of both worlds: the look of a prop driven monoplane without the annoying noise and rotating blades obscuring your view.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    Thank you, @Americancheese12

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @LiamW Yep. If you ignore it it eventually dies down.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @ChallengerHellcat Thanks, that's what I was going for. Yeah, a bomber is in the wings.

  • SledDriver Flight Module v1 7.2 years ago

    @ballisticbullets I have enough tricks up my sleeve, I can afford to be generous :)

  • Monster Chassis + Customs V1.2 7.2 years ago

    @Cynister I like to keep things simple :)

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Chancey21 yeah, that's how i like my planes to fly. I use a keyboard so any control input is either full on or full off. Hence dual-sensitivity pitch input and gentle rolls.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @PlanesOfOld yeah, i think it's best if you resume not looking at my stuff.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @Chancey21

    Looks cool

    Thanks

    flies like an AN-225 half asleep with the flu

    It flies the way I like a plane to fly, smooth and steady. Also, when did you fly an An-225?

    No control surfaces

    Really? I never noticed! Take a look at the way the wings are built. Then tell me how to add control surfaces to them.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @PlanesOfOld I disagree with the philosophy that "I've seen better before, so I won't upvote this." Most people on this site treat upvotes not just as if they were money, but money coming out of their pockets. It's pathetic.

    You've seen better before, so you don't care about encouraging new users? That's not very civic-minded. If new users don't get encouragement, they'll quit and the community will stop growing and eventually die.

    I don't recall ever getting any criticism, constructive or otherwise from you, so I don't know what you're referring to. And I've no desire to "challenge" anyone to build something my way: I'm not a narcissist/egomaniac/herd thinker. This is a game, people should play it as they please.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @PlanesOfOld If you don't upvote much, I don't think you're a good SimplePlanes citizen. Regardless of how much you upvote, you obviously noticed this build and still chose not to upvote it. Then you go on to challenge me... I know it's common behaviour on this website but that doesn't make it OK.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    @PlanesOfOld Yeah, but you started it.

  • Warbird 7.2 years ago

    Well thank you, @Countache27
