@omkarp I'll try to explain again. The beauty of my airplanes lies in their shape, in the clean lines. I have no intention of sticking bits and pieces all over them like a tribesman decorating his mud hut with bits of glass, or like an adolescent trying to make his ride more cool with decals. My planes are cool just the way they are. That's all I have to say on the subject.
@MrMecha Err... this isn't the one I was talking about. This came out of playing around with Cygnus. It does look a bit like a flying tank, doesn't it? Hang on, I'll upload the other one too. That one's a bit bland compared to this one, but you'll see the A-10 resemblance. No birdlike wings (yet), though.
@Viper28 All right then, no harm done. It sounded a bit like telling a mother "your baby's ugly, no offence." I hope you find the better handling version to your liking.
@MrMecha That's what I call constructive feedback. I'm happy to tell you a ground attack-type plane is on the cards. The blunter forms are rife with possibilities for curvy flourishes.
@MrMecha If it does, there's always the block function. I've dealt with enough people like him to know they need to be shut down, hard, and right away.
@MrMecha You don't get to tell me that. Many things could be said about this plane. It's beautiful, original, innovative, unique. And all he can say is "stealthy brick"? I have no time for people that negative, and if you side with him, I have no time for you.
@jollyJoey It's just fuselage sections turned sideways and elongated a great deal. You can't build this using the in-game editor, it's too limited - you need the Overload mod and also do some XML editing by hand.
@Flash0of0green The aircraft's entire body is encased in a Faraday cage, so the internal electronics would be immune. The engines, being electronically controlled, might flame out for a few seconds, but the speed at which this thing flies gives the pilot plenty of time to recover.
@Viper28 Judging from the upvotes, plenty of people do understand - so why don't you stick to being a hermit with mediocre builds and refrain from making pointless comments?
@GoeringsWorkshop I do the initial shape in XML, just because it's faster just typing in the values than clicking around to enter the numbers for each part. Once the basic shape is formed, I do the rest of the tweaking using Overload.
@OverlordAeronautics2 Sounds good. I'm logging off now, but let's continue this tomorrow. If you can find/create some designs, do that, and I'll try to come up with something as well.
@omkarp I just explained in my previous reply why I'm not interested in sticking bits and pieces all over my pristine airframes just to get upvotes. The details that matter to me are performance and handling.
@shadowmaker108 Thanks, it's one of my favourites. I've stopped adding landing gear because the ones available are really plain and ugly, and they spoil the screenshots. SP developers need to provide better-looking landing gear, and also add a toggle to hide the gear in screenshot mode. Note that the plane will take off just fine from a runway, and you can also land in and take off from water.
@omkarp Thanks, but it's all right, I'm not posting these to get upvotes. If I was, I'd be building highly detailed replicas. Originality makes people uncomfortable and that's just the way it is.
@spefyjerbf I know, it's just that right now I'm focusing on building airframes that look great and fly well. I'll get into detailing when this spree runs out.
@ZephyrSystems Were? There are plenty more to come, never fear.
@CALVIN232 Just think of it as SledDriver's Gyrfalcon. I think we'd have some trouble coming up with names that are unique across all SP players.

@BarrettTheFerret I'm glad you like it, but this is not even close to the best performing of my planes. If you're looking for speed and handling, try Thor II, Battleaxe, Broadsword II, Mjollnir, Nighthawk, Cobra Heavy, etc...
@Yolo9394 Thanks
@kampfer Thanks.
@MrMecha here's another one for you.
@Fergitheflamingo You need a mod called Overload. Click on the fuselage block you want to edit, then set the width, height, and offset to your liking.
@ZephyrSystems I had to make something up to explain the lack of inlets or exhaust nozzles...
@MrMecha Here you go.

@davet3 Of course, feel free.
@AfterShock I'll have to pass.
@GoeringsWorkshop Perhaps. I'd have to learn my way around Unity first.
@MrMecha I stole the plans from Area 51...
@AfterShock I only work in black... or occasionally very very dark grey.
@Viper28 Thank you.
@Viper28 Yeah I know, but that doesn't work in the description field - only in comments.
@Viper28 All right then, no harm done. It sounded a bit like telling a mother "your baby's ugly, no offence." I hope you find the better handling version to your liking.

@MrMecha I wouldn't want to resolve a situation with someone like that any other way.

@Mox That's not original by the way, it's what they claim about the F-117.
@GoeringsWorkshop No tool at the moment, it's all painstakingly manual. I'm thinking of building a tool, though.
@TTHHSSSS Thanks, it's good to hear that.
@ZephyrSystems Mind? Not at all -- I'd like to see what others can do with this technique.

@Othawne Thanks, your work is very impressive too.

@OverlordAeronautics2 Why build a replica of something someone else designed when you can build something original?
@jollyJoey It's just a plane, if you like it, check out my others too.
@OverlordAeronautics2 It's been said before. Sure, I'd be happy to collaborate with you.
@JMicah4 Yours isn't too bad either.
My first featured plane... nice. And thanks.
Holy hell, this is the most impressive build I've seen in SP.
I will endeavour to not let you down, @ZephyrSystems

@ZephyrSystems If I was, I'd have at least poured a couple of million into making this game look and work better, so no, unfortunately I'm not.
