    @ThePilotDude You're not part of that conversation, so I don't know why you're butting in.

  • Sea Falcon - Royal Navy 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 This might help. Relevant bit here:

    In Finder, do Shift+Command+G(Go To folder) and type in:

    /Users/YOURUSERNAMEGOESHERE/Library/Application Support/unity.Jundroo.SimplePlanes

  • Fuel-Less Fire 7.3 years ago

    Good work. The pseudo-propellers are a nice touch.

  • Sea Falcon - Royal Navy 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 I've never played SP on a Mac, so can't say for sure, but as long as it allows you to access the XML files, you should have the same total freedom as on Windows.

  • Sea Falcon - Royal Navy 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 Yeah, I feel your iOS pain.

    @FinalGambit Thanks. But look at the upvote count. This is the community you expect me to donate my tools to?

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @Z3RO @Cream

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii no, thanks.

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 Couldn't have put it better myself

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 And had much beefier engines and guns...

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot I wasn't consciously going for it, but that was the inspiration, sure.

  • Sea Falcon - Royal Navy 7.3 years ago

    Nice thrust-to-weight ratio :)

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    @Mustang51 Are you kidding, the Star Wars fans would probably jump down my throat screaming "that's not an X-Wing!!!" Thanks, though.

  • Stiletto-X 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @Treadmill103, this behemoth lags even my PC. The quad-cannons are a joy to use, though.

  • Idiots 7.3 years ago

    @GritAerospaceSolutionsLTD It doesn't matter if they go on welfare, work crappy jobs, or win the lottery -- being stupid is punishment enough in itself. No matter what, dumb people will make bad life choices over and over again, and their lives will be miserable overall.

    And if the welfare state gets too big and taxes get too punishing, the smart people can always leave for another country where the leeches aren't allowed to suck quite so much blood. Meanwhile, the leeches can live on bleach and Tide pods... for a while.

  • Idiots 7.3 years ago

    Sadly, the idiots greatly outnumber the non-idiots in this world, so they get to define what's popular and what's not. Take comfort in the fact that you'll have the last laugh, when you're a well-paid professional with an interesting job and a promising career, and the formerly self-appointed "cool kids" find out that school was the peak of their lives, and it's all downhill from there.

    Life is a long race -- those who have it hard in the beginning become all the stronger for it, and that begins to matter more and more as you get out of the sheltered idiot-friendly bubble that is school, and move into the real world. Those who peak while in the asylum, on the other hand, find that the things that used to matter there don't transfer to the real world.

    @jamesPLANESii "Have a nice day," when used in this manner, means "I'm no longer interested in talking to you, please go away."

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii Getting upset in an argument is a sure sign that deep down, you know you're losing.

    Again, not interested in your challenge, or your fallacious arguments. You enjoy doing things the dumb, primitive, laborious way? Good on you. I prefer working the smart way. Now be on your way, do your thing, and don't presume to tell people what to do or how to do it. (I have the right to say this because you started this.)

    Have a nice day.

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii Likewise.

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii

    • I don't know about you, but I have limited time in this world, and I'd rather spend it creating new things than copying what others have already done. There's nothing creative about replicas. It's drudge work. What you're spending days or weeks building could be done by a computer in seconds, if not milliseconds, and done better (perfectly) at that.
    • Again, because I have limited time, I like to spend it efficiently. SP is not a game that makes it efficient to create replicas.
    • Why do people pay millions for paintings, but not for photos (not even for those taken by multimillion-dollar cameras like Hubble)? Because the whole point of art is to see the world through the eyes of the artist. To see something new.
    • Why did Rembrandt spend his time creating original masterpieces, instead of spraying graffiti all over the place, or using stencils to spray-paint the same thing over and over again? (I'm not saying I'm Rembrandt, I'm making a point about creativity.)
    • Why is a forgery, even if perfect, not considered anywhere near as valuable as the original work of art? A replica is just an honest forgery.

    I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here. If you enjoy making replicas, more power to you. But don't act like it's the holy grail of a building game.

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii I'll answer that if you promise not to accuse me of trying to make you feel dumb/harassing you/bullying you.

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    @jamesPLANESii Not interested.

  • Ente-1 7.3 years ago

    Welcome back. Nice build.

  • Pugnacius 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @DemonSniper8 @BaconRoll

  • Hey all! I am a new member to SP 7.3 years ago

    @FinalGambit Welcome. As for tips, learn the fundamentals first, before progressing to complex builds. Try to be unique, don't just do the same thing everyone else is doing. Get into XML modding from the beginning. And have fun.

  • Pugnacius 7.3 years ago

    @FinalGambit that's pretty much what i do - build designs that vary greatly in aesthetic style but have the best performance that SP can offer. All my airplanes perform equally well, so the user is completely free to choose whatever they like based purely on the looks.

  • Phalanx II 'Bridge Buster' 7.3 years ago

    @DerekSP The ice base has already been dealt with. And I do have an aimable cannon that can hit the WW2 destroyers. I'll convert that to a fixed-aim one and upload it sometime.

  • Pugnacius 7.3 years ago

    @Jetpackturtle Thanks. I did make one, but probably won't be making any more. Mainly because due to some real-life events, I now have a deep loathing of loud noises.

  • Pugnacius 7.3 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot That's exactly what I was going for, good catch.

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @FinalGambit Thanks. I originally intended to, but most people in this community have ignored me, or treated me with disrespect. So...

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @MasonForester It's not a VTOL engine, it's a whole system I came up with. You can read about it here. You can use that as a chassis for your VTOL builds. The movement speed is controlled by the engines' power.

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @KillerDread OK, I'll make a parts post soon and I'll include that.

  • Phalanx II 'Bridge Buster' 7.3 years ago

    @iLikeipads Thanks, but mass destruction? My weapons are very precise, the opposite of mass destruction...

  • Great Ball of Gunfire 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @Zanedavid

  • Orbitus II 7.3 years ago

    Glad you like them, @Zanedavid. By the way, if you like a build, you can upvote it -- it doesn't cost anything and it makes the uploader feel better :)

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @FlyingFish1 . I take great pride in the performance of my builds. My dive bombers can actually dive bomb accurately, and my long-range artillery can in fact hit targets on other islands.

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @MasonForester Sure. Do you just want modded engines, or do you want them hooked up to a specific input, like roll/yaw? If you just want modded engines, you can grab my parts kit here. It has engines with up to 50x power output. If that doesn't do what you need, let me know and I'll make a custom post for you.

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @123Planebuilder Yeah, I could do that. I'll put it on my list.

  • Phalanx II 'Bridge Buster' 7.3 years ago

    @QingyuZhou I know, right?

  • Apollo-SD 7.3 years ago

    @KSPFSXandSP Actually, it's the Command and Service Module... and I used 'Eagle' because it's cooler than 'Charlie Brown' etc.

  • Longsword 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @FlyingFish1

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    Thanks, @Davisplanez

  • Spectre II 7.3 years ago

    @MI Big builds have lots of advantages, and as far as I can tell, no disadvantages other than not being able to land on the carriers. They're also bigger targets in dogfights, but as long as both planes are big that just adds to the fun.
