@GeneralOliverVonBismarck the engine represents part of the wreckage from a crashed Do 217 that was recovered using these helicopters, like in the image attached in the description. One of the version was planed to carry two 250 kg bombs or depth charges so I guess that qualifies it as an attack helicopter. And you may make an armed version if you wish.

  • TAnk tracks number 7 (fail) 3.5 years ago

@HTTPCREATION1O2 No I have not, but spheres work as wheels and fuselages don't, I tested that my self.

  • TAnk tracks number 7 (fail) 3.5 years ago

Hi HTTPCREATION1O2, this looks great, I think a part of the problem is that you are using fuselage blocks as wheels, the thing is fuselage blocks have a square hit box even when they look round, the only part s with circular hit box are the sphere and the hemisphere parts, I would suggest you try using them as wheels instead of fuselage parts.

Hi @Jerba, I am glad you like my stuff, I guess I just don't post often enough any more, or I don't have enough active flowers.

@HeavyC22 Thank you I am glad you like it. And thank you for organizing the challenge, too bad it didn't have more entries. I was really busy and barely managed to finish it in time.

Hi @SuperVirus38 , Funky trees refers to a system for programming the inputs section of parts like rotators and engines to react to pilot inputs like pitch and roll, or flight data like speed or altitude, and modifying them using math to get them to do things as simple as combine pitch and roll in a single control surface, or as complicated as flying the plane at a specific altitude and heading. To modify the parts you can use the overload mod, or modify the aircraft save file. Useful links if you want to learn more Link1

  • Torpedo Bomber Challenge 1940's-1960's 4.2 years ago

So is there a time limit for entering?

  • Help Plz 4.2 years ago

Hi, for the engine exhaust color, what ever color you set the exhaust color the game adds a bit of yellow to the center of the flame (you can see that if you color the exhaust white) and that mixes with the blue to make green, as far as I am aware there is no way around it sorry. For the metal material look it needs to be a light gray color not black like in the example, it also depends on on the graphics settings on your device, found in: Settings > game quality > Aircraft Reflections . Hope this helps.

@Person05 Here is the program I promised Link

  • Fully functional autopilot funky trees 4.3 years ago

@Person05 If the only thing it needs to do is fly at 9m above ground level that is relatively easy, I could wright that for you and you just copy it into your build.

  • Fully functional autopilot funky trees 4.3 years ago

@Person05 Cool, so you need help with that? The programing would have to be a little different for low terrain flowing flight.

  • Fully functional autopilot funky trees 4.3 years ago

@Person05 Yes sure, what are you making?

  • Space Eggs Starhopper 4.3 years ago

@Type2volkswagen I would do it like this clamp01(AltitudeAgl- 15.24) the angles would be set using the rotator's range of motion settings. If you want to get really accurate (or pedantic) you should account for the cockpit elevation above the landing gear by adding that to the 15.24

  • Eurocopter Tiger 5.0 years ago

@junglekiIIer It is not powered by a rotator, it is powered by a VTOL engine and tiny VTOL nozzles at the end of the rotor blade tips.

  • Dwarven Backpack Helicopter 7.3 years ago

@Joshisepic Don't know what the problem is then, sorry.

  • Dwarven Backpack Helicopter 7.3 years ago

@Joshisepic Have you tried exiting back to editor and then back to fly? Sometimes rotators glitch out and that is the only way to fix it.

  • Control moment gyroscope cube 7.3 years ago

@ColonelStriker Go ahed , also check out this thing might work better for that link

  • S.E.T.Helicopter M1 7.4 years ago

@BaconAircraft That sounds like a great project, I would love to help with that.

  • AH-56 Cheyenne 7.4 years ago

@Destroyer560 Thank you. No, that is because of retreating blades moving slower and advancing blades moving faster then the aircraft, and I had no control sliders free for roll trim, sorry.

  • Elbit Hermes 450 7.4 years ago

Why not just build a wall?

  • Kopter 7.4 years ago

Excellent helicopter!!! The unwanted roll to the left is caused by the retreating blades moving slower then the aircraft producing less lift, as proof of this I offer that if you fly backwards the roll effect will be reversed.

@JakeTheDogg that happens sometimes with high part count aircraft, try putting just the control gyros on it , tell me if that helps.

@BaconAircraft Yes, you could say your sphere got the ball roiling :)

  • Control moment gyroscope cube 7.4 years ago

@RandyAndSonsAircraft some of my helicopters are steered by a mechanism called a swash plate which changes the angle of the blades as they go around, the length of the blade gives them leverage.

  • Bell 206 jetranger 7.4 years ago

@ElectricalClusterfeck go ahead and upload, lets see it.

  • Control moment gyroscope cube 7.4 years ago

@TTHHSSSS I got the idea for the "packaging" from the ETH Zurich Cubli but that uses wheels with fixed axle and rapidly changing wheel sped, this uses the opposite.
