@Baldovino I've found in my little endeavors with this course is that you can't take it too quickly or else the ending bit with the bridge will screw you over.
My plane averages 1100-1150, and completes the course in around 1:10, but is consistent. I tried a plane that was averaging 1200-1300 and while it made it to the end faster, it never actually completes the race.
@bspboy I think it's all about fitting as much power into your plane as possible, I've managed to clip 4 VTOLs (gonna try 5) into my plane, just so it can hit those high speeds without losing space or maneuverability.
I got ONE plane to finish the course ONCE. I have a feeling longevity will outdo performance on this run, since this is a very technical course which the AI doesn't seem to like.
I've been having zero problems with my computer version, can't say for the app since I think the game is miles better on a bigger screen and a mouse+keyboard.
Finally got a plane to go sub-1:15, hsould make it pretty far in this little tournament :)
But I've noticed a bit of a problem:
Sometimes (maybe 1/4-5), the AI will make mistakes and crash the plane in random spots, usually when the checkpoints are in the valley. This happens with almost every plane I've tried, and I feel it would be incredibly embarrassing for anyone's entry to just wipe out because of an AI fault.
Bruh I was actually working on the wing styles from Destiny hoping to make all the different variations of the different bits of ships then being able to snap them together and make all the different combinations.
The best way, at least how I see it, is to upload stuff that you think is cool.
I'm probably going to get my ATV up soon (check it out it's really cool), not because i think it's the best thing ever (it is tho), but because I think it's a whole lot of fun and is something unique.
With that being said, upload things that don't relate to the youtube members that are supposedly playing this game, it just says that you want attention, in a bad way.
@AgDynamics Yes, I know that the two games are written i two different languages, and on different engines, but I still think that there is some kind of edge; not because the devs want one, but because of the nature of the engine and game. I have MUCH less experience with Unity and XML than I do Java, so I'm just kind of going out on a limb with these guesses :/
Oh and @exosuit I mean that I've been flying across the rest of the ocean in the game, not the one between the islands, I should have specified.
If you got the game from Gumroad, then you'll get an email with a link to get the new version of the game (from Steam).
If you didn't get it from gumroad somehow, then it'll be a bit of a wait for the new update. I'm in this crowd, seeing as the Mac OSX store version probably wont hit shelves until next year.
I'm a little worried about the whole gun and bomb thing; kinda goes against what the game was all for: flying. Now, it'll probably be an arms race to see who can make the most accurate weapons and the most agile planes.

1:40, not too great, but it completes EVERY TIME. sub 1 min 1/10 finishes <<<< consistently ok time 9/10 finishes.

Thought it was actually gonna be a legit landing, and was going pretty well, but I guess the runway couldn't handle how good the plane was.

Could be bigger to be honest. Also, the real P-8A only has 2 engines, and the forward wings are fairly low on the body.

Left side, I get a constant 1:11, right side, I finish 1/5 times -_-

The Nudge feature on PC/Mac might be able to help you get the front smoothed out, but otherwise it's coming along well!
@jsaret I was tempted to use the OLD prop engines (pre-fuselage props) for my entry just for laughs
Looks a lot like the plane I entered lol. This way is definitely the best way to have the body set up in my opinion.

If I did the math right, I should be able to keep this running overnight.The autopilot should be able to keep things steady whilst I'm asleep.
