@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation You mentioned that (A) Sharia law was enforced strictly, (B) those who resisted were forcibly converted, and (C) The strict enforcement of Sharia resulted in what was a cultural genocide.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Really? Do you think people will forget that many years ago, guns were shoved in their faces to renounce their faith, the faith of their ancestors for at least a hundred centuries?
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation I was referring to Saudi Arabia, as both Awwam and Saudi Arabia are theocratic monarchies rooted in Sunni/Wahabbi Islam. My assessment of Awwam is based on assessment of similar nations.
It is a matter of national security that any military equipment our military is to employ is to be produced locally. Previous orders of equipment purchased overseas has either failed to meet expectations or has been subject to tampering and shortcuts. While we do not believe that Harpia Defence Systems Company would do such, it has happened before with other companies. In addition, the procurement of equipment from other nations have created issues when the said nation of origin or company refused delivery of parts.
We believe that the aircraft is as good as it has been promised, and few modifications will be needed, mostly refitting the internals to be standard with Paternian equipment and the installation of high-efficiency engines. However, we do not like to procure any military equipment from outside the Paternian Republic for aforementioned security reasons. It is simply a matter of policy. Also, Paternian service personnel have always stated a preference for equipment built in Paternia.
It is our interest to acquire 10 aircraft for testing purposes, and will pay P$250 Million (1PD=5USD) for the aircraft for evaluation purposes. If the aircraft passes our evaluations, we would request that the aircraft we will employ be constructed in Paternia. While we have no state-operated aircraft manufacturing operations, we will allow you to set up a factory in Wichita, Kansas.
This factory will be used for all procurement of any aircraft we wish to purchase from you. In addition, we request the production of 25 Pummeler A-1F and 25 AH-2 Devastator from your facilities, as during wartime, this facility may be ordered to produce Pummelers or other aircraft types as needed by the Paternian Armed Forces in order to take up spare manufacturing capacity.
All stated is merely a security measure, to ensure that Paternian soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines employ Paternian-made equipment whenever possible.
I'm no theologian or psychologist, but I do know that forcing people to abide to your rules by the way of gunpoint is not sustainable. As Awwam has done in France.
Even though much of the population is Muslim, it was more or less because a gun was shoved into their face.
During the many revolts, it was the French women who fought the hardest. For years, under Sharia, their movement was rather restricted heavily. They were burdened under what they called "heatstroke scarves" -- burqas.
When the ARI took over a city block or town, many Muslim articles were burned. Prayer rugs, burqas, Korans, etc., were sent to the bonfire. Imams were often captured, beaten, tortured, and sometimes killed because they were viewed as agents of the hated Awwami regime. For the first time in decades, women could walk the streets without the need of a male guardian, could drive, and had equal say with men.
And when this was threatened by Awwami tanks, the girls and women made damn well sure that they'd never give up these newfound rights without a seriously big fight. The brutal methods of the Awwami forces were great for inspiring rebellion. As of now, peace and order has only been achieved in a few heavily fortified compounds of pro-Awwami supporters.
Renee Ajlani is widely considered one of France's heroes, next to the likes of people like Joan of Arc, Napoleon, Nicole Minet, and Charles de Gaulle.
I'm a man who makes a living studying history. And if one thing in history is certain, it's that history repeats itself.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation I actually have Muslim friends. He's a devout Muslim, alright. Smart guy. His father's from Morocco, and is a community leader for Muslims in Hawaii.
@Dimkal Well, when you have licensed production in Paternia, we will usually make modifications to the aircraft so as to be suitable for our use. Said modifications usually involve significant airframe and system modification, meaning the aircraft of a certain type we produce will usually have numerous differences from the original aircraft. Usually up to 50% of any said aircraft which we adopt will be modified. What you get is some cash from the license.
Will the aircraft we make be exported widely? Depends how good our version is. It probably won't see the distribution of types such as the infamous Pummeler. That plane is easily the most popular warplane in the world. 38,000 and counting. It's the standard which all attack planes compare themselves from. And due to its age, it's no longer under any copyright.
I understand that you are a business, and that competitors are not exactly your thing.
Look what happened to France, or Western Europe for that matter. While the ARI has been crushed militarily, they have gained significant support, even among Muslims, due to the Awwami preference of using brute force to suppress dissidents.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Teleportation modules are obsolete with wormhole manipulation and mapping. One will need neither a receiver nor transmitter with wormhole manipulation.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Yeah, a lot of Shia Muslims (who by the way comprised the majority of Muslims in our army) really didn't like your Caliphate. To them, Allah hasn't given you the authority to declare them as inferior.
@DankDorito We shall add the F-3 Dart, the F-6 Renegade II, F-7 Viper, F-8 Cobra and F-9 Dart II.
The F-3 Dart is an old interceptor that formed the core of the Paternian fighter force. She's kind of the grandma of the Paternian jet force.
The F-6 Renegade II is kind of like an F-22, with high maneuverability, good speed, and high stealth. He's kind of like old commandos.
The F-7 Viper was the type destined for greatness, but due to his high price, was passed over in favor of F-8 Cobra. He's kind of jealous of F-8 Cobra for taking the limelight.
The F-8 Cobra is the guy who you can depend on everything for, reflecting on the fact the F-8 was the workhorse of the Paternian Air Force fighter fleet. There's her sneaky sister Silent Cobra, who is a big fan of Metal Gear Solid and an expert infiltrator, and his younger brother, A-4 Cobra.
The F-9 Dart II is the newest of the group, and more like a "chosen one" sort of figure. She's incredibly skilled at air combat, and is basically Tom Cruise from TopGun with a vagina and a touch more attitude.
In addition, several attack aircraft can be added.
The A-2 Boar is an aggressive personality with a lot of attitude and a liking for the taste of tank. It's basically an A-10 Warthog.
The A-3 Hummingbird is a fighter-bomber which was pretty effective at its job. Highly maneuverable, he proved deadly as an attacker.
The A-7 Raider was again, in the situation of the F-7; destined for greatness, but with the limelight by something cheaper and just as effective, and with less maintenance to deal with.
The A-8 Hawk II is perhaps one of the best attackers, and has proven itself in battle. With a love for Mexican food, he loves carne asada. He's a bit cocky, but a good friend.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation We believe it was a remote router which was used to disrupt the Paternian Stock Market. They were able to mask the attack so that it would look like the WSC.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation The Pummeler was chosen due to its availability and the fact that none of its control systems rely on any electronic system, unlike the rest of our air force.
Because you can't hack into metal rods and mechanical linkages without an acetylene torch.
@WSC Great. We just launched a Pummeler strike at the HQ of the IHO, based on info we have gained from both your operations and our own search. They've been quite pesky.
We did so with unguided munitions in conjunction with high-precision bombsights because you can't hack mechanical triggers and 55 kilograms of PBX.
@GoldenEagle Permission to join the UPNW? I know we had a war with one of its members, but we feel that to avoid further conflict, it would be best to join the UPNW.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation To be clear, most cases where defendants have employed Sharia law to dictate terms is usually in divorce settlements.
Our proceedings of civil law is "make whatever settlement works for both of you, as long as settlement does not breach criminal law". So while Sharia is not officially used, it is legal to base proceedings off of it. However, punishments such as death or amputations of sort are usually not allowed.
While we do recognize your special forces prefer skill over numbers, the same cannot be said for your regular army. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
We're not barbaric like that. If they take up arms, then we shall crush them. However, he seems to be relatively popular, and really doesn't like Awwam at all. In addition, we treat them like a political party. It is in our constitution that there is freedom of expression, as long as said speech does not falsely induce panic and disorder.
Previous anarchist causes of greater size have fizzled out quickly one they are elected to a provincial office, such as governor. They usually screw everything up and get kicked out via vote of no confidence before the conclusion of their first term.
We aren't the sort to roll tanks over those who say otherwise. We sit down with them and have a good debate. In fact, Sharia law has been used in Paternian civil court when both defendants are Muslim and have agreed to such. However, criminal courts are still use English common law. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Not really. Given that your commanders had a large body of fanatics which to employ, it would make more sense to attempt to emphasize the numerical superiority. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Sals is a secular republic. Although the majority of citizens are Muslim, many do not think that religious law should have a part in a modern society. Some think otherwise, and the debate goes on.
However, there was enough people who thought that secular governments were for the best that they made up a fifth of our army. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Well, let's see if they can win the elections and garner popular support, like all else.
Anyways, what makes you think an ex-Awwami soldier could succeed in Paternian politics? Paternians don't exactly like the Awwami. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Also, let's stop with the insults and be objective. I mean, even though you were mad because we didn't say your armor exoskeletons were Iron Man's suit, we did admit that it was very effective against a variety of other battlefield hazards, such as nuclear, biological, and chemical threats, in addition to exceptional protection against anti-personnel weapons such as fragmentation weapons and non armor-piercing ammunition as well as traditional anti-armor ammunition for small arms. The suits provided additional strength for the operator, although to what extent varied between suit model, operator competence, and environment.
However, possessing high survivability and strength did come with drawbacks. Said units lacked stealth, and although was fitted with integrated infrared and night vision, had problems with the maintenance of situational awareness as well as its vulnerability to newer ammunition types such as APRC.
In melee combat, while the integrated melee weapons and superior strength were useful as well as the overall strength of the armor rendered slashing weapons useless, the Paternian soldier was able to overcome this through superior awareness, training in Judo, and stabbing weapons such as knives and daggers, which can penetrate weakpoints.
Everything has advantages, but also drawbacks. Basically, while the suits had some advantages, it also had disadvantages, which due to the tactical nature of the Awwami forces, was outweighed by the advantages. We also judged the average individual skill of the Awwami soldier in combat to be less than the individual skill of the average Paternian soldier, since a large army was needed in short order to take advantage of its numerical advantage, where the Paternians, knowing they could not win a battle of sheer numbers, employed a quality over quantity approach. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
It's probably revenge for letting us recruit and train our army in Sals. After all, Salish citizens comprised of one-fifth of our army in the form of the decorated Paternian Army of North Africa. @SimpleTechAndResearch
You did. It was in a previous chapter. After what you said about Muslims who served in the Paternian Army, which was almost exclusively made up of North Africans due to our main recruitment area: Sals, which is in North Africa. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Remember that Paternian Army of North Africa we raised there, and then used it to absolutely destroy your armies? Yeah. They aren't exactly happy with you. Especially for calling them inferior. Because nobody likes it when people say that their worship is inferior to yours.
And this army is more than willing for Round 2. And remember, Muslim armies have fought each other in battle, and never thought twice of doing so. If sectarian conflicts in the Middle East and Tamerlane don't provide enough evidence; I don't know what will. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
The Koran does have historical value indeed. It is a pretty good biography of Muhammad, his life, and his beliefs, which we now refer to as Islam. He is as real as Jesus and the Buddha is.
Yes, Buddha was a real person. Yes, Muslim missionaries and armies have converted previously Buddhist areas, such as Central Asia, India, and Indonesia, to Islam. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Yes, it is possible to make a tank with such weaponry. However, expect to build a tank with so many design compromises as to make said tank useless. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
I assume the only history book you know of is the Koran.
While its accuracy, especially that regarding Muhammad, is relatively accurate compared to the New Testament in the Bible, it must be looked at objectively. Like all religious texts, the Koran seeks to convert people to its religion, in this case, Islam.
And what's your qualifications? @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation You mentioned that (A) Sharia law was enforced strictly, (B) those who resisted were forcibly converted, and (C) The strict enforcement of Sharia resulted in what was a cultural genocide.
Anyways, why would they willingly convert?
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Really? Do you think people will forget that many years ago, guns were shoved in their faces to renounce their faith, the faith of their ancestors for at least a hundred centuries?
I don't think so.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation I was referring to Saudi Arabia, as both Awwam and Saudi Arabia are theocratic monarchies rooted in Sunni/Wahabbi Islam. My assessment of Awwam is based on assessment of similar nations.

@Supermini555 I suppose.

@Supermini555 Here's a list of how we achieve electromagnetic shielding. Claiming to be able to breach this is simply breaking the laws of physics.
@PINK Perhaps so.
@Dimkal Well, when you have licensed production in Paternia, we will usually make modifications to the aircraft so as to be suitable for our use. @PINK I would fear so rightfully.
Look what happened to France, or Western Europe for that matter. While the ARI has been crushed militarily, they have gained significant support, even among Muslims, due to the Awwami preference of using brute force to suppress dissidents.
@Supermini555 It's literally several centimeters of lead.
A high velocity railgun projectile is likely to cause great physical damage anyways.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Also, what did you do to those ancestor worshipers in China?
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation @PINK never claimed to be smart.
@Supermini555 We have shielding, sir, designed for nuclear blast.
However, the electromagnetic disruption is the same.
@WSC Good! They're a crater in the ground.

@JakeTheDogg lol
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Well, when it existed.
@WSC Good. They have just realized that you can't hack mechanical fuses, fulminate of mercury, and 55 kilograms of PBX.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation The IHO. They attacked us in order to make us blame the WSC and launch our intelligence operations against them.
And no, we shall proceed on artificial wormhole research. It's how we are able to access our Mars and Europa colonies with ease.
@WSC We would like to lend you the assistance of Lee, our first completely artificial AI.

Whoops.
