@JovianPat Okey I've been testing ALOT and found my theory wrong but I stumbled across something else?!?! I was unable to increase the performance of your plane in the way I planned... BUT I'm able to run it with only five intakes ?!?! there is more to this then I thought so I will be doing some more tests... seems there is a maximum amount of air the engines can use but if you can use less air intakes then it might be possible to make more aerodynamic designs... The most speed increase I've got out of your plane is by using 15 intakes and got +249 mph at 20000 ft thats from 830 mph to 1079 mph but its slower by 10 mph at 1000 ft (yes 15 intakes looks ugly but 12 looks okey as they are in the same place as before just two more on each side)... AND it seems intakes don't need to be fully exposed to work as I was able to fly one of my planes with the intakes mostly inside to fuselage?!?! so it doesn't seem to matter much if the intakes are almost white or red in the "SHOW DRAG" function, and thats is where I made my mistake as I thought that mattered (placebo effect i guess)... I have yet to test the slim inlet... NEED TO TEST MORE...
@JovianPat Yes you're right eight intakes is enough but you can make them more efficient by putting a spike in them, I'll upload an unlisted example later it's an neat trick to get more power out of un modded engines... But it only works if the intake dose not get maximum air flow...
suspiciously light but it's a really good flyer : ) my ''Trench Runner'' needs 2.5 times the wing area to fly good but it is 23,795lbs and barely looks like a plane ; P .... Nice work Alasar : )
@Flightsonic well okey maybe not 9246622000000000000 weeks... but I'm getting slow at coming up with new ideas so it's going to take me awhile to get to gold never mind platinum...
@GrumpyRacing I totally agree... I still want to slap the A.I for crashing my racer out in the first round, but thats what I get for pushing my luck with a 0:59 plane... I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the same dumb thing next race... @EatingCats again congrats on the win : )... I'm disappointed at some of the reactions and comments I saw in the live stream, maybe it was the name of your plane or something but that is no excuse to act that way... Anyways see you in the next one : )
@AgDynamics Well okey yes I know but thats good enough... I spent hours and hours on mine (!!!Wild Thing!!!) and it crashed out at record speed... so that was time well spent... better to be slow and steady then fast and reckless... it was the same story in Bandit Run...
@UnstableOrbit I might be wrong but maybe the function is just missing and not removed since if you hover over the "Airplane Properties" button it says Visualizes the amount of drag with current aircraft.... so maybe it's a bug...
EDIT Just saw AndrewGarrison's post... so never mind...
@Delphinus Like what you did with your gravatar it sort of confused me for a second... It's pretty impossible to compete against a modded plane with stock plane but please post a picture when it's done it's flight : )
I can't believe how you got this little thing so fast it's just about as fast as my !!!Wild Thing!!! but yours crashes less so I guess yours is better... and sorry about the double crash in the tounament : ( seems to happen to all the really fast once...
@BRuthless actually it seems that drag is supposed to show if you hover over the "Airplane Properties" is says Visualizes the amount of drag with current aircraft.... so perhaps it's just missing for now...
@BRuthless I can get 1.4 to work... but only with a larger tail and bigger wings, COL is a little bit in front of COM... seems this type of config needs a very low wing load to work... the 1.3 only weighs 4883lbs after detach...
Yep can't go anywhere with my "Sky Whale"... at first they circle around me then they go for the kill... sort of annoying when all you are trying to do is to fly some cargo from A - B...
@BRuthless Yah... but I still don't fully understand it because it's very stable and almost all other planes I built will flip out if that happens... I mean COL in front is still in front no matter how large the wings are... only two planes I built dose this the "Trench Runner" and the "Hunter" both have BIG tails...
........... Soooooo ....... are you planning on using this in the tournament?????

@Noman0rumeral Make the Hindenburg 1:1 with full interior... that should keep you busy for awhile ; )

@bspboy It will be awhile before I can start on it but sure I'll take shot at it :)
suspiciously light but it's a really good flyer : ) my ''Trench Runner'' needs 2.5 times the wing area to fly good but it is 23,795lbs and barely looks like a plane ; P .... Nice work Alasar : )
@SUPERSAMROCK Thanks I'm glad you liked it : )
Yes I can make it fly : )
Love the way it looks and flies, top notch handling : ) but if you spike the intakes you can get a little more power out of the engines...
I can't test right now but I believe that my "Broadhead" and "Stranger" has similar yaw if I'm not mistaken.
It's done with XML editing...
@Flightsonic Could you give an XML example? I'm away from my PC.
It would be nice to have this option... Like in my "swallow" I had to make my own witch was harder then I first thought it would be...
@Flightsonic well okey maybe not 9246622000000000000 weeks... but I'm getting slow at coming up with new ideas so it's going to take me awhile to get to gold never mind platinum...
My estimation is that you'll get to platinum in 10 to 11 weeks... and I'll get to platinum in about 9.246621e12 weeks.... can't wait ; P

@HellFireKoder Well you were fast... just put in an edit in my post...
@UnstableOrbit I might be wrong but maybe the function is just missing and not removed since if you hover over the "Airplane Properties" button it says Visualizes the amount of drag with current aircraft.... so maybe it's a bug...
EDIT Just saw AndrewGarrison's post... so never mind...
please don't copy others creation... read the RULES...
Congratulations : )
All I can say is speed and looks doesn't matter it's to finish the race that dose...
Congrats!!!
@Delphinus Like what you did with your gravatar it sort of confused me for a second... It's pretty impossible to compete against a modded plane with stock plane but please post a picture when it's done it's flight : )
@SUPERSAMROCK Aaahhh okey... my 101315ft glide was.... well boring, going 55mph isn't really a recipe for excitement....
@Delphinus Okey so I looked at the picture... is that a modded plane? 99% fuel left and going full throttle with two turbo props... Hmmmm....
@SUPERSAMROCK Okey??? what plane did you use? can you link it?
I can't believe how you got this little thing so fast it's just about as fast as my !!!Wild Thing!!! but yours crashes less so I guess yours is better... and sorry about the double crash in the tounament : ( seems to happen to all the really fast once...
It's so stable... a little wide for the last few rings... but if it stays in the center it's all good... Nice work destiny1122 : )
@salvador3031 Thanks : ) but it's just too fast for the A.I : (
better then mine....
@ABC123 Oh and we crashed at the very same place maybe even the same girder...
@ABC123 Yes slow feels very wrong... but I can make it fancy ; P
@ABC123 But I will always have that 0:59 picture....
@BRuthless I know it would happen : ( Oh well it's slow and steady next time...
Hehe double crash for me to ; P Oh well... I guess it's slow and steady next time... maximum speed just doesn't work to well...
That thing is so trippy with realtime reflections......
"I may not have been taking this tournament very seriously..." Hmmm you don't say ; P hehehe I love it : )
Sorry about the double crash : ( ...stupid random A.I crashes....
Just did the Going the distance and got -2,147,483,648ft ???
@TheJohnnyMan Heh yah to glide that far would take more patience then I could ever muster... This was hard enough...
@BRuthless actually it seems that drag is supposed to show if you hover over the "Airplane Properties" is says Visualizes the amount of drag with current aircraft.... so perhaps it's just missing for now...
Fixed :P

Did tire friction go up??? my "Sky Whale" seems to stop way faster then before... I know off topic... sorry...
@BRuthless detached you say... well if it isn't phantom physics than maybe the thrust output is different... I really don't know....
@BRuthless Hmmm if the COM didn't change then maybe the drag stabilized it.... maybe...
Yep can't go anywhere with my "Sky Whale"... at first they circle around me then they go for the kill... sort of annoying when all you are trying to do is to fly some cargo from A - B...
@ChazPlayzGamez you can access "game settings" when you load up a level or sandbox mode... just press "Esc" and I'll see it...
@BRuthless You didn't ha.... oh well.... THANKS : )
@BRuthless Yah... but I still don't fully understand it because it's very stable and almost all other planes I built will flip out if that happens...
