The Dimensional Jump Drive or "DJ drive" was created in the year 2057 and was used for interplanetary travel for select company vessels. One of these companys was the leading spacecraft company, Wekolondor®. They quickly realised that they could implement the dive into their publicly sold ships to make space travel so much easier for civilians, not to mention the amount of money they would make, so they put forward their request to the designers of the drive. The said they would think about it.

The drive was eventually released to the public in 2065 and Wekolondor® released a new ship called the Eagle. They made billions of dollars. They did however have to give half of all the money they made from the ship with the drive to the designers, as did all ship making companies that used the drive in their ships. The designers quickly became the richest people in the world.

The reason it is called the Dimensional Jump Drive is because it jumps to a different dimension to travel at immense speeds. Einstein's theory that said that it was impossible to travel at or faster than the speed of light was proven to be correct by a brave guinea pig called Mr Squeakers, he is up he is still up there, frozen in time forever. The dimension the drive takes you to allows you to travel infinitely thus the drive takes your ship at speeds of up to 200 times the speed of light and can take you between planets in minutes.
