Thumbnail concept is interesting, tho I feel some parts of it distract from the plane itself, not to mention the plane kinda blends in with the background because of it
Nice plane tho, I just like talking about thumbnails I guess
I've not seen such a situation for a while, but from my guesses, Mr name copier is either an alt or a friend of this sunsun guy, using the account both to tarnish your reputation for whatever reason(or just use a recognizable name because you are one of the bigger users in the site being platinum) and annoy the shit out of wh911
This is just a theory tho
Honestly my favorite one is from your BS34D/GB40-D “Alpha”, it's clean, nicely edited and does not overwhelm/distract you with too much stuff, plus the aircraft itself is very visible and is very much emphasized by the text
Also that second picture was godly
Try separating the wings into smaller sections, and turn them into Wing-2
I've had this happen before and it's usually because of the wing, not the rotator
If it is the rotator, increase its mass, that should help
I am a sucker for these types of incredibly questionable, cursed and interesting looking designs, and this one is even filled with enough whimsy to drown the entirety of England
Very nice
Nvm, it's just another name for atlasair
.
You can still access his builds and comments via links, but I don't think that'll last, especially if he continues to be a nosy little f*cl
.
[I do not recommend reading his comments, may cause severe brainrot and anuerysms]
I'm checking on progress, looks good so far, tho I am not a huge fan on the transition from the windshield to the fuselage, maybe decrease the height behind the windshield or increase the height in front of it
Looks nice, but it could be better, here are a few more deb console commands that I often use for screenshots
>>GUIScript..set_UIEnabled false
Superior than set depth, which can be used for interior shots
. //MainCamera>Transform.localEulerAngles 0,0,z
Tilts your camera for some high octane action
. //MainCamera>Transform.set_localPosition x,y,z
Moves your camera, for obvious reasons
Oh and before you ask, yes I was able to operate out of the beast
Landing was easy, but take off wasn't, had to either bounce off the water 2 times or use the catapult
Engines seem a little lacking, would have either placed a magnet for detail or used hollow fuselages on the engines so that the details of the WW2 engine aren't hidden
Otherwise, it's a very great plane! especially for your first vr compatible one
Also also also, you can judge the entry as soon as they get entered into the challenge, this makes getting the challenge results easier than if you were to judge them all at the same time
Once you judged that entry you can enter it's scores and your thoughts on a notepad or a word document for easy access
From my very limited experience, you just need a rating system and some rules, once you got those sorted out it's pretty much smooth sailing from there
.
Of course, judging entries will be time consuming, but that's just natural, besides, if you do it properly you can have fun while doing it aswell
I do recommend getting a second judge if there are a lot of entries or if you can't run some of the entries due to performance issues
.
Almost forgot to mention, all of this is for naught if the challenge doesn't get attention, so do whatever you can(that abides by the site rules) to attract attention to your challenge. From my experience this is the most difficult part of making a challenge
I have several that I love for different reasons:
Spitfire - because of looks obviously
F-14 - same as above, plus the swing wings
Avro Anson - can't put my finger on it, I guess it's just charming for me
F-15 - reason I have an obsession with planes
747 - same as F-15, plus I would always draw one when I was a child
One question
Can you create a replica of a fictional aircraft from, let's say a movie or an animated series
.
Say for example: creating a darkstar or an airwolf
Nice plane that flies good, tho I have one grievance.
.
Detacher force is too high for the cleavers, which means I need to fly upside down to launch them at low altitude
It's not that big of an issue, but it's annoying for me I guess
Here's an idea: brackets
.
Set up 3 brackets, one for beginners, one for intermediates, one for experts
Participants will choose one of these brackets to compete with those that have similar skills based on how they think of how skilled they are. Each bracket should have a winner and a runner up
.
Of course there are cons to this: higher work load for the challenge holder and a more complex ruleset, but I think it's worth a shot
@CONSTELA
You can also use the dev console which is activated by pressing ` on your keyboard (PC) or pressing the settings banner 5 times (mobile)
>>CameraManagerScript..SetCameraFov xx - changes the FoV //MainCamera>Transform.localEulerAngles 0,0,z - changing z will tilt your camera //MainCamera>Transform.set_localPosition x,y,z - moves your camera like free cam >>GUIScript..set_UIEnabled false - deletes GUI, useful for mobile players
@Graingy I throw rocks at the air, any rock that lands on a person is unintentional

It's weird, some of my photos are still up while some are just gone, I'm guessing that this'll have the same phenomenon

@TTL yeah, keep forgetting to mention

@ToeTips

@Mousewithamachinegun123
I love that it can pretty easily land and even take off without a catapult on the USS beast
+1@Fighterpilot91 yeah, it's easier said than done to be honest, but focusing on other stuff in the meantime helps me somewhat

@Graingy if I remember correctly it has been done before, it was a cold war challenge or something, but yeah, there were brackets.
