@brentisaac22 by breaking lock with countermeasures when the plane is at least 3 km away from your position.
If it is any closer, the plane will switch to it's other weapons, making the cannon not work.
At the time this comment is being posted, I am traveling at 266 KPH IAS at 1813m above sea level, full flaps and maintaining about 30°AOA. Will the engines stall if I activate the afterburner?

best advice I can give you: unless you have an incredibly nimble aircraft with lots of firepower, RUN
@Ummmhelli I'm guessing you say "gravity well propelled compressed antimatter cannon", you're refering to the SRL-1 Mk.2 . You don't actually need a high powered cannon to take out the wings. From my experience, the minigun part, if the fire rate is set high enough, is more than adeqete.
