This is a bomb plane not a bomber. The difference is that this plane is a bomb and the cockpit gets dropped. This plane was built to intercept missles or a squadron of bombers, it has 3 500lb bombs in the front of the plane with one of them being the nose, it also combines old and recent technology from the challenge so it has a combination of 2 jets and 2 props giving a top speed of around 530mph. The pilot flies directly at the oncoming threat and once close enough drops the cockpit while the plane blows up the target. The cockpit will fall for a few seconds before a parachute is deployed and dont worry about water, the cockpit floats. It also has flares to signal your location. Switch to the camera on the plane after dropping the cockpit, you can still contol the plane and guarantee a direct hit. I'm working on my weird version of a FishBed. It has movable wings like a tomcat. (They are automatic) My all new round radar, with round circles flashing needle and no square. (It's wicked) it also has reverse thrust that comes out of its nose. That took forever because I could only get the VTOL engine to work for one thing, my afterburners. So I had to use a different engine and a different funky program to get it to work correctly.

I finally read the instructions / description. Took off from right Airport headed for the two destroyers and the aircraft carrier. Once I was at altitude, I released the pod which automatically released the parachute on a time delay. Switched the camera back to the plane and flew right into the deck of the carrier. Returned the camera angle back to the pod. Tried to Target the aircraft carrier but it was destroyed. I released the parachute at about 3,000 ft and hit the water. Went down about 5 ft and floated back up. What was really cool was the pod floated with the flare dispenser face up. So I shot a bunch off. BIG FUN !

This build is so BADASS ! I love how you set the parachute to go off automatically on a delay once the round cockpit has been detached. I'm definitely going to take this apart and figure out what makes it tick. The funky trees are SOOOO cool. I also love how you can continue to pilot the main aircraft after you get rid of the cockpit. I got to figure out how you did this. Your builds are always so imaginative ! Remember the following statement is coming from a good place. You know me and you know I'm not mean or nasty. First, I love all of your builds ! I only wish is you would not set the camera to Auto re-center. It's difficult to hold the camera to look down while using another hand to push buttons. I was a big fan of the "Re-center" option for a long time. But now I only use it when I am using Guyfolks HUD. Because if you are not looking straight at it, it will not display or function properly. Otherwise, I don't use auto Re-center because there is a button that will Re-center the camera. What's really crazy is when someone makes a replica cockpit of a fighter with buttons and switches everywhere. It's next to impossible to fly and access all the buttons with Re-center on. Know what I mean jelly bean ?
Fun fact: during operation aphrodite, a few B-17 were turned into remote controlled missiles. They couldn't take off on their own and thus pilots would take them up and then bail out. Despite carrying around twice the normal payload the effect on target was poor and certainly not worth the lives of the pilots who died during the bailout process.
Point is, reality is often more cursed than fiction, mostly because fiction has to be believable...
