@Baldovino very true. They are all fantastic looking aircraft. I’m curious to know what your opinion is on the looks of the Tempest prototype (which didn’t have any large cowling)
The cockpit on this doesn’t look as great but that’s a great system you got there to make it move! I’ve been trying to figure out how to do it well and I’ve over complicated it a lot. Thanks for this, I completely forgot shocks were a thing
It looks pretty good and handles well. I like the intake and tail sections a lot. The cockpit still feels too simple though. Adding some struts over the canopy would help give it some more detail
Beautiful work! Great to see you fixed the trim. This is really probably the best replica on SimplePlanes and it flies incredibly well. Most of the handling characteristics are very similar to the actual 172. What a fantastic aircraft!
@123Acepilot sadly I haven’t found time to yet. The holidays are supposed to be a time to relax but I always feel like I have less time to do things like watch movies hahaha. It’s still on my watch soon list
It looks good but it has to fly good too. At the moment there is too much weight at the back from the engines. The only way to fix it at the moment is to XML edit the CoM from the engines to be much more forward than it really is. This way, you should have something that looks good and flies well too
@AcePilot118 the MiG-8 was a test aircraft, not a real production aircraft or a fighter so that’s why. I don’t think I said it in my first comment but I meant specifically even numbers aren’t used for fighters but they had no production aircraft with even numbers anyway. The MiG-8 was built to test swept wings if I remember correctly, interesting little plane.
Not too bad! The shape of the wings needs some improvement (the real ones are closer to a delta shape than normal swept) and they shouldn’t have elevators either. The fuselage looks great though and overall it’s a nice build and flies well. Good job!
The fuselage is definitely the first place to start. I start with roughly the middle or slightly more to the front but behind the cockpit. I then add a bunch of fuselages (usually around 1 unit in length) on either side while making slight changes in their height and width until it’s the right length. Then further adjusting the length, height, and width of each fuselage block segment is a good place to go. I hope this helps but this post also would probably be better for forums. It’s more likely people will see it and give their input :)
Very cool looking and good flying jet! Especially for your first upload this is fantastic. Wonderful work! Also on a small note MiG never uses even numbers for their aircraft
This is pretty awesome! It would have been better to put the turret a little further though and have the antennas on the turret so nothing would be in its way from rotating 360 degrees. This would have made it a little more realistic. Other than that it’s a great vehicle!
My gosh what a beautiful build this is! I really think this is the best replica on SimplePlanes right now. The way that screen turns on too was just phenomenal, I’ve never seen anything remotely close to that here. The details are impeccable and the flight characteristics feel just like the real thing to me. I normally prefer flying pipers but this makes me want to fly Skyhawks again hahaha. One small thing is that the trim wheel is broken (when you trim up the wheel moves up and out of its place). Even with that small issue, this is exceptionally great work
Great build! It looks absolutely fantastic. It would be awesome to see an afterburner on this one though
@Baldovino like the hurricane with Christmas holiday weight lol
+1@Baldovino very true. They are all fantastic looking aircraft. I’m curious to know what your opinion is on the looks of the Tempest prototype (which didn’t have any large cowling)
+1Lovely build! Those flaps are incredible and the profile is perfect. This is the best looking variant of the Tempest
+2@Megamonster and that’s how you get tinnitus. Don’t be dum dum and wear ear protection! Lol
@JustASoundGuy great! Looking forward to seeing it
I managed to get one which works pretty well actually. The problem is that you move while the plane is on the ground though lol. I’ll show you
Very cool! Try using the fuselage blocks next time though. This will reduce the part count and make it look smoother

@teodor99 sure! Let’s see it
The aircraft looks pretty good and that cockpit is excellent! Nicely done!
Great looking build! The CoM is a little too close to the CoL so sometimes it flies funny but this is an excellent replica
Fantastic work here! This is a really good looking and flying build. The P-26 is such a lovely looking aircraft
This is great! I love twin fuselage aircraft and this is a particularly good looking one
@SledDriver damn that was smooth hahaha
It looks pretty good and handles well. I like the intake and tail sections a lot. The cockpit still feels too simple though. Adding some struts over the canopy would help give it some more detail
Well damn this is really breathtaking (pardon the pun)
This looks great! The photo for the thumbnail isn't the best though so that’s probably why it didn’t get much attention
@QingyuZhou yes, I don’t like to shoot in my apartment much hahaha
@ND40X no sorry. I use mobile so I can’t use them myself even
Beautiful! One of my favourite aircraft in the world. It was very sad to see them retired with the RAF
+1Fun build! I was shooting two of these literally 15 minutes ago.
@cats cool. I’m going to look into this more
Lovely looking F-100! I had no idea the French used these
Nice one! Very cool car
Not too bad. You have the general shape right but the proportions of parts are a bit off
+1This one definitely drives better! Nice work!
Great looking and flying plane! It landed fantastic too
+2Fantastic aircraft! Lovely job on this one
Great looking and flying aircraft! How did you get the guns to act as cannons?
+2Edit: never mind I didn’t realise there was a cannon part behind it lol
Beautiful work! Great to see you fixed the trim. This is really probably the best replica on SimplePlanes and it flies incredibly well. Most of the handling characteristics are very similar to the actual 172. What a fantastic aircraft!

+1Lol that’s a lot of parts
It looks good but it doesn’t feel finished yet! Great start but I’d love to see it with a little more detail that you see in your other builds

@GhosTerSix no problem buddy!

I would also make sure the first screenshot/thumbnail shows the whole build instead of a specific part. That will attract more attention

Cool looking vehicle but it doesn’t seem to handle going over bumps too well

It is a nice post you made and very true
+2@Subnerdica hahaha no I was just confused since I couldn’t see my name in the comments. What’s up though?
+1who tagged me?
Fantastic! It’s very well made and functions great!
Very cool looking and good flying jet! Especially for your first upload this is fantastic. Wonderful work! Also on a small note MiG never uses even numbers for their aircraft
That air strike system is fantastic. Great work on that and very creative!
This is pretty awesome! It would have been better to put the turret a little further though and have the antennas on the turret so nothing would be in its way from rotating 360 degrees. This would have made it a little more realistic. Other than that it’s a great vehicle!
+1Also lovely registration
