@SovietT44 which kind of 21 was it? An F13?

  • Trintess A-45 Rhino 6.1 years ago

@Brencool35 as long as it was used between 1945-1950 that’s okay. The plane doesn’t have to be produced or designed between that period. Which plane is it?

  • EC-15 6.1 years ago

Pretty decent build, you just need to take a better first picture! It reminds me a little of a MiG-21 too

  • SAAB 37 Viggen 6.1 years ago

@cbeane1 no problem! Try making all your wings custom too. It makes builds look a lot cooler I think, just make sure it functions well too!

  • Mig-69 'Chort-B' 6.1 years ago

Wonderfully built! Could use some small detail to outline the cockpit canopy but great other than that

  • DM-23 Technology demonstrator (Vectorial Thrust) 6.1 years ago

Looks pretty good! Cockpit view would be cool but there is a bar covering your line of sight. The handling characteristics are also a little funny (the plane flies better without that forward canard by the way) and it’s also a little underpowered. With some small changes, this plane could be top notch!

  • SAAB 37 Viggen 6.1 years ago

    @cbeane1 I hope that helps!

  • Saab JAS-39 Grippen 6.1 years ago

Wow! This looks really incredible! The canards move a little too much (try to limit them to around 25-15 degrees) and it makes handling a little tricky. Other than that, this is really great!

Not the canards on my MiG-21Y by the way, I mean the way the ailerons and flaps work

  • SAAB 37 Viggen 6.1 years ago

@cbeane1 yup! Similar to the ones on my MiG-21Y

  • SAAB 37 Viggen 6.1 years ago

Okay how do you know what all my favourite planes just happen to be?? This is fantastic! It could have slightly better manoeuvrability though. You should try using custom controls at least for the canard elevators as well! It would make its function more realistic. It’s much simpler to do than you think!

  • Lockheed P-5 Swordfish 6.1 years ago

@cbeane1 awesome! I’ll keep a look out for your post now too

  • Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat 6.1 years ago

@cbeane1 no problem! You’re a very talented builder

  • Lockheed P-5 Swordfish 6.1 years ago

@cbeane1 Well thank you very much! People seem to be liking this one so I might do another a little after. I have a couple good ideas for a fun challenge. Also if you enjoy these kind of aircraft, please feel free to enter more planes for the challenge!

  • MiG-21 6.1 years ago

Nicely done! I also enjoy making mig-21s, they have a very smooth shape

  • Stephenson's rocket 6.1 years ago

Just amazing! It’s not very good at the drag race though

  • Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat 6.1 years ago

This is incredible! The fact that it has no upvotes is a crime

  • Lockheed P-5 Swordfish 6.1 years ago

Well made! I can see you took the requirements into account here. Thank you for your participation in this challenge!

  • YeastBoi's Model 145 Sloonie Aeroclassica 6.1 years ago

Very very nice! It reminds me of a mix of a couple real aircraft. The bomb bay is also superb!

  • A.V.Arc Goosematch 6.1 years ago

  • Trintess A-45 Rhino 6.1 years ago

@Brencool35 I have absolutely no idea. If I knew, I would do it but I bet you there is a forum post about it

  • Trintess A-45 Rhino 6.1 years ago

It’s a little too dark maybe but I downloaded it and flew around a little. It’s beautifully made!

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@DeathStalker627 I’m gonna have to say it’s against the challenge rules. If you use it, your build won’t be disqualified but you will lose requirement points. What you can do is maybe make a fictional air to ground missile that’s very similar to the Bullpup. I’d accept that as realistic for something developed in 1950

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@UnguidedCylinder that sounds pretty cool! I hope it works out

  • exhilatron 3.0 6.1 years ago

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@DeathStalker627 awesome! Remember though, if you find a nice way to navalise it, it will receive more points! Things like folding wings and arrestor hooks help with that

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@Brencool35 yup you can enter three! I hope it’s enough

  • MAI-411 6.1 years ago

@RUSSIANAIR that is most likely true but I think some people, like yourself, like planes more than others hahaha

  • North American F-86 Sabre 6.1 years ago

    Nice! Good luck with that!

  • MAI-411 6.1 years ago

@RUSSIANAIR that’s incredible! Has aviation always been something you were passionate about?

  • North American F-86 Sabre 6.1 years ago

@Hypixel it looks like a simple one but on SP it’s not that easy. If you want a similar plane that’s easier to make try one of the types of Dassault Mystère aircraft. The Dassault Super Mystère is one of the simplest I would say but is also a very cool aircraft

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 6.1 years ago

@asteroidbook345 nice! That sounds like it’s going to look good!

  • MAI-411 6.1 years ago

Whoa this is neat! Also it’s very cool that you’re going to MAI! What specifically will you study?

  • North American F-86 Sabre 6.1 years ago

  • Comodo Strike Fighter 6.1 years ago

It’s crazy this only has 4 upvotes

  • GCS-1 [a swept wing concept] 6.1 years ago

Would you like a much smaller hinge rotator so that you can hide it within the plane?
