You need to have the brakes on both sides of the wings, top and bottom for it to work best. A good number of my newer planes use this system, and can almost go into a flat spin when over-using yaw.
(The Nachtriese is a good example of this)
@Miniplanes
Heya @Toxicgirl, doing alrighty here. Been changing orientation of built content quite a bit in the 9 months since we last talked. And, It's possible I did miss ya.
Again, doubting Hitler would greenlight anything nuclear, but it's possible outside a wartime situation. Maybe for sakes of story, Hitler was okay with science fiction.
@Datom
I really doubt the Germans would pursue nuclear weaponry during a wartime situation. Hitler himself stated (somewhere) that nuclear weapons "were science fiction" while directing resources away to other, more tested super weapons like the Maus and E series.
@Datom
As much fun as Wolfenstein tech would be, realism would be appreciated. It would be easier to keep up with a tech tree and explaining than super advanced wolf robots
@Datom
Hehe, no problem. It's good to hear outside stuff from smaller/newer users. Scares off the echo chambers. As for the passing off the parts to other users... it's mixed with how that's been. Most of the times that something like this has been done, it usually ends with childish sqabbles of who shot who and very little adding to the story.
@Datom
1) Lots of small battles took place during the many major offensives that could of changed everything, but to my knowedge the Battle of Britain had some of the most during WW2, and yeah, the SP community is refreshingly polite and jazz.
2) Awesome, can't wait to see what ya come up with. If ya need some sort of help with researvh, writing, etc, just yell me over or something.
@Datom
I'd love to see something about the Battle of Britain. So many events that happened can be changed in that point in time that would literally change the outcome of the war in extreme ways not found at any other time listed above.
The long nosed Fw is the D-13, having a fairly similar layout to other Fw 190 variants, it just having the Junkers Jumo 213 as it's engine (which gave it the "long nose"), pressurized cockpit, and two MG 151/20 motor cannons.
And no probs
@Datom
In a honest opinion, the US using the Atomic bomb "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" on Nagasaki and Hiroshima was considered a necessary political, yet very unnecessary end game move in the war.
By August 6th, Japan had lost all the land it conquered in the past two decades, and was confined to it's frequently bombed homeland. The Soviet Union had began a extremely successful invasion of the Korean peninsula, which lasted only a few days and greatly terrified the Japanese Military and Emperor. By the time the US did drop the two atomic bombs on Japan, they were already about to surrender to the United States. The only achievement the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made was a mostly political one.
February at Yalta, the Soviet Union's Joseph Stalin and the United State's Harry Truman came upon an agreement to split Japan between them, but general distrust between the two led Truman to find some alternative to keep the Soviet's away from Japan while they finished off the German pockets. (It's also the reason Korea was split between Democratic South and Communist North, as Stalin couldn't have a foot into Japan.)
A plan was being drawn up, the invasion of Japan as you mentioned, but was never finished past the initial landing phase as Project Manhattan showed great promise in forcing a Japanese surrender as quickly as possible.
So, in short, it was global politics that caused the dropping of nuclear weapons on Japanese soil, and not the saving of American lives.
Yep, cause Google decided to be some leftist, progressive mess that rathers censorship over tolerance...
yeah, just take off some of some parts on the vert stabilizer, and it should be good.
@RyneKuczy
I find Gravatar to be a tad bit tedious, but really I don't think the devs have time to make some profile picture system at the moment. So for now, Gravatar...
@BaconRoll
I saw it a few moments ago, and by around the 50's, Germany would likely have high end class II engines (Like the He S 011) and class III
@ThePrototype
Actually, maybe instead I can write something that this island nation can be a more integral part to, cause currently the story for that other thing is oriented for the US and USSR
@CommanderSword
Ehh, I'm not too much of a midern person. Everything is too "lock-on and dead" there. Ooh, maybe something set during the early Cold War? Like mid 50's?
@CommanderSword

Use air brakes set to yaw placed on wingtips or near wingtips.
Yep, just possibly. And yeh, I've been working quite a bit on stuff. Just practice a bit, and you'll get better eventually.

It's not even a dedicated Discord server for this group...?

No probs, @Zandgard, you do what ya need to make it
Maybe the Messerschimtt Bf 108 or Klemm Kl 36 would be something fun
Maybe. You do what ya want, need, or whatever for that thing.
@Datom

The "long nose" Fw 190 D-13
The Devs aren't changing names currently. Something about implementing a system later on
I don't think it's that far back, probably only a month old or so.
@ThePrototype
I have a glider or two in the backlog of planes, somewhere...
@ThePrototype
Wonders how out of hand this'll get
@FlyingThings
(I'll just make a tracked version for this afterwards)
Wonder if Google counts as a tank...?
@PhantomBladeCorp
Eh, the forums are really the only place you can advertise, so yeah
Wonder if a Sonderkraftfahrzeug 234 counts as a tank...?
Gonna be needing more than hope to go up against the Royal Navy
@ThePrototype
Guys, seriously, when have I ever made something over 600 parts?
@Carsong1017 @Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing

A thing
Battle of Britain started 1940, but didn't really end until 1944 after the German's lost France and air superiority.
@Avivspitfire
Yep, cause Google decided to be some leftist, progressive mess that rathers censorship over tolerance...
yeah, just take off some of some parts on the vert stabilizer, and it should be good.
@RyneKuczy
I'd say a fair amount of my stuff can be used. May need some tweaking to make it...
sigh...
"YouTube Friendly"
Maybe the KV-ST would be good, maybe.
I find Gravatar to be a tad bit tedious, but really I don't think the devs have time to make some profile picture system at the moment. So for now, Gravatar...
@BaconRoll
Not like I have sole ownership, or created the idea of strapping rockets to the underside of a planes wings. Go ahead.
@ThePrototype
Yep. I did actually mention rocket boosters being added to a veraion of this plane for carrier takeoffs.
@ThePrototype
And afterburner would take a while
@ThePrototype
Theres plenty of them around, most being really good ones.
@ThePrototype
Lots of stuff would of been ready by then, like supersonic flying wing bombers and the such.
@ThePrototype
I saw it a few moments ago, and by around the 50's, Germany would likely have high end class II engines (Like the He S 011) and class III
@ThePrototype
Ooh, sounds like it's gonna be fancy then.
@ThePrototype
Danke for the stuffenzie or something
@ThePrototype
Danke
@phanps
Probs, but I guess I'll deal with it in later iterations.
@PorkyClown3
People. Now, just take down the edit thing, then lets get started on the thing.
@CommanderSword
Mkay, no. That's not going to work with me at all. I'm saying we write something that's not that.
@CommanderSword
Actually, maybe instead I can write something that this island nation can be a more integral part to, cause currently the story for that other thing is oriented for the US and USSR
@CommanderSword
Umm... alright, sure.
@CommanderSword
What's it you want to edit?
@CommanderSword
What I have has a bit of a post-apoc theme for it, and roughly a 7 year difference, but it can work
@CommanderSword
Yee, it was. Anyways, I miiight have something already written that would work for the mid 50's story...
@CommanderSword
Ehh, I'm not too much of a midern person. Everything is too "lock-on and dead" there. Ooh, maybe something set during the early Cold War? Like mid 50's?
