@ChiChiWerx Okay then case closed. I love the mustang much more than the spitfire, but when It comes to performance in terms of air-to-air combat capabilities, and tactical use, the spitfire, In my opinion is better than the P-51. I get you're a fanboy for the P-51 but the spitfire can do many things the P-51 can't do, just as the P-51 can do just as many things as the spitfire can't.
Depends on how good you are at building replicas
I prefer replicas because they are harder to build, more challenging. Plus, if you're drained on ideas for original planes, you've got planes that you can just replicate from real life.
@ChiChiWerx Well if you thought I was saying that then you were saying the same thing in vice-versa. You were basically saying that the P-51 won the war, and the Spitfire didn't do anything. lol
@ChiChiWerx Spitfires paved the way for air superiority over western Europe along with P-47 and P-38 strike missions over German outposts in France and Germany. Other than earlier A-C models of the P-51, which flew over France/Italy in escort missions, The P-51 really didn't see much until there was an open road straight to Berlin, so it is debatable to say that the P-51 was the plane that maintained the air superiority after the ground and air forces of joint-operations made way for allied aircraft straight into germany.
@F104Deathtrap I beg to differ, according to some information I fond the spit was very responsive, agile, and fairly easy to fly. Though, you have a point, the range of the P-51 allowed it to do more than the spitfires at the time could. Unlike spitfires, the P-51 could carry out ground attack missions almost as heavy as P-47s. However, the spit still carried out escort missions over germany, they still did CAS missions, and they modernized and improved a lot in the process, taking up many more roles than the P-51 could, and soon caught up to the P-51 post-war, some versions (Mk 23-24) even surpassing the P-51F. They have their ups and downs. As Awsomur said, they are completely different aircraft for completely different things. The P-51 was simply made to close the gap of escorting problems over europe and the pacific.
The only advantages the P-51 has over the spitfire are speed, range, and service ceiling. The spit flies better, is easier to build, easier to fly, and lighter. P-51 can't really do much compared to the spit
They poof into thin air if they catch fire, the “explosion” wouldn’t provoke a chain reaction because SP physics.@MrDooLittle

@F4f879 I don't actually have any examples of a wing gun with an accurate representation of a japanese .50 cal, but they are kind of like the italian .50s, they're low velocity, lets say bullet velocity in SP would be around 550-500. Since they are low velocity, they also have low damage. (around 25-45 damage per hit, and quite accurate (spread from 0.9-1.25) with about 6-8 rounds/sec. They use a bright red tracer color like fff0f5, ffe4e1, or ffffff (rgb codes for colors) You can put all of these in the xml codes. I'm currently on mobile so I don't have SP, but that's all the information that you need to make a realistic damage model for your guns.
You can use this information as a template for your gun and tell me how well it works, I'd love to see he result :)
I know what you mean, I guess the correct way to say it is it's easy to fly, the flight model is nothing short of unrealistic, but it's fun and simple. @BogdanX
I’m pretty sure he left a long while ago
Lol @DuckMintnewprofile

whoop-didy-scoop
Also the front might need a bit of streamlining
sexy seats btw
@ChiChiWerx Lol, spits did escort missions over europe many times over, but ok.
+1Also I might check out some of those books, they sound interesting.

Np, I’m a big fan of everything Howard Hughes. @Jaden24
I meant in terms of air superiority @ChiChiWerx

@CarsonG1017 you know you can delete comments, right?
Not a fan of that call-sign but this plane is cool

@MrDoolittle Maybe it's because the weapons are clumped together?

The doom of SP building? lol, it's cool but something like that won't be everybody's cup of tea.

Test this please
will you make a mechanical rabbit in sp
+1@MrDoolittle Bombs/missiles never detonate if they are directly hit by a gun unless the gun destroys it in one hit.
wtf
+2Take em to the back alley bois
Will you ever get around to making aircraft w/ cosmetic pieces (full-fuselage wings w/ full/partial inner cockpits, custom LGs, etc/)
What was your hardest build so far?
what is your social security number?

He's... using a fork.
Nice, happy to see you here again :D
+1One question, though, do the .50s have accurate round velocity/damage? That would be pretty cool.
Nice
