Another cool Biologic build! One potential tip though, nudging some spheres (with collisions disabled of course) into the joints could make them look a little less janky in their visuals when the tail flaps.
@typeZERO I can see where Rodrigo's getting at. Second place has a more smooth body shape with plentiful details on the hull. What made your sub win in the aesthetics department for me was mainly how unique its visuals were. A sharp angular design themed around a shark, it really caught my eye.
@MiladicPlanes Evidently they prefer to prevent such things from happening when possible as opposed to deleting everything on a case by case basis. The prohibition on Upvote links is an example of where they hold that reasoning.
@BogdanX Alrighty, also like you did I'm allowing time past the due date to account for timezones. If it doesn't make it for the time you'll at least get an honorable mention. ^^
So it seems you've been building free diving subs even before this challenge, nice to have you participate! And to have your entry bring me to find your boats :)
Well this looks like it's gonna be fun to try out :) Note that I'll be given scores in a post made after the challenge is done. I'm sure this'll score well.
This thing is surprisingly good at offroading, the simple Gyro engine works well and gives it quite a lotta torque, and the wheels are surprisingly grippy. Quite a quirky and fun build, but then again that seems to be your thing ;)
Well you've come to a fantastic start with this new account, this thing flies well, the weapons work and look cool while doing it, and the visuals aren't too shabby!
@RamboJutter Little note, the VTOL engines themselves don't actually need to be attached to the craft in order to function. In this build for instance I just put them on a detached floating block (hidden inside but still detatched). Just so long as fuel is on the craft itself they'll work fine. As for if it's jerky try adjusting things such as ballast buoyancy and the size of the control surfaces. Little adjustments are needed on this kind of sub.
@Thelegitpilot13 As much as I'd like to...since you've already made it before I might be inclined to disqualify it on the basis of Rule 2. Just to be fair.
@Irobert55 @Irobert55 The Alicorn can dive, so technically it can submarine :P. Also the Aigaion is really nothing like that 747 carrier. It runs on 24 engines and operates a runway that works just like a carrier ship...while functioning as an airplane. Point is Ace Combat is bonkers and doesn't regard realism in any way that'll hinder it from presenting crazy scenarios in story and gameplay.
@Irobert55 Just as a note, the Alicorn comes from the Ace Combat series in case you didn't know. Anyone whose played those games should know very well that the universe it takes place in has little regard for practicality. There's the Aigaion (a flying aircraft carrier powered by a ton of jet engines), Scinfaxi class submarines (a precurser to the alicorn but only a little less crazy), a world prone to warfare without MAD despite having nuclear weapons. The Alicorn is designed to be an epic boss fight for a video game, and for that it fulfills the role quite well.
Less than 200 parts for a good body shape, good custom landing gear, and a surprisingly detailed cockpit. As someone who appreciates part efficiency I approve!
@BMilan Ooooh I missed that, dunno how I missed that.

Sweet! Another free diving submarine, between this and that Eel you've earned a follower!
Now this is cool! An eel that moves through the water like a real thing making for a unique functional free diver!
This tank is so sloped, its entire turret is a slope!

@MrSilverWolf
Have an early look, and help with some final tests before I finish the description and publish.
@typeZERO It didn't, but it did cause lag. It was still fun to use though! And probably has the best presentation of any custom weapon I've seen.

Now that's looking fine! Are you gonna use the gyro propulsion you used on that iron fortress?

If an easy method of adding text is implemented, its feared by the mods that people will start uploading profanity or other naughty texts.
@BagelPlane Perhaps the metallic setting was it, glad you figured it out! I look forward to seeing how this sub comes together.
@BagelPlane Looks like a graphical glitch, does it still come up with a lower smooth setting?
0/10 too much effort on the diagonal color stripe effect.

Thank you all for participating! I shall get to reviewing all your subs in time, and will make a post detailing your scores.
@WereOutOfNames Due date has passed, sorry about that.
@typeZERO They could be useful, I'll consider having a look at them to see if I can make them work with future builds.
@BogdanX Alrighty, also like you did I'm allowing time past the due date to account for timezones. If it doesn't make it for the time you'll at least get an honorable mention. ^^

Oh boy! Another entry!

@typeZERO Splendid :)
@typeZERO I was advised to put the due date on Sunday, so I did so.

@RamboJutter If you're using the ballast system from this submarine then it activates and deactivates with pressing the LandingGear function.
@typeZERO There's still hope, I extended the deadline, and got Bogdan on board with it!
It's decided, I'm extending the Due date to July 5th.
@BogdanX Now that would be great! Thinking I'll do that then at the least.
@typeZERO Hopefully this just means that the people intent on joining are still in the process of making their entries xD
@Tumor No, I did. Hence the Auto Credit.
It feels so strange suddenly getting updoots on such old posts.
@MemeLord21 Huh, interesting to know!
The impossible has been achieved!
@Bobofboblandia Read the Part of the Description that talks about the 'SS-N-15 Starfish (RPK-2 Vyuga)'
@Planator9000 The RPK-1 Vihkr demonstrated here has since been uploaded.
@HeavyC22 Aaaah yes the mustard video, cool channel.
@HeavyC22 I have not uploaded any video on it myself, but I would love a link to the video featuring it!
@CRJ900Pilot More that that build's gotten less attention than many of my recent stuff XD
@CRJ900Pilot Made one :).
@Thelegitpilot13 But hey, I'm pretty sure it'll knock it right outta the ballpark for the Ace Combat challenge!
@Thelegitpilot13 As much as I'd like to...since you've already made it before I might be inclined to disqualify it on the basis of Rule 2. Just to be fair.
I see what you did there! Using a wheel for the nose is a genius way to save parts and make for a very smooth nose section.

Don't blame you for having trouble choosing, but I'd have to say the second one looks a little better. That map is looking quite nice btw!
