This is neat to see! I'm curious how you're gonna make the rear wheel steering work on the Skyline, as from what I've read (totally not intending to build my own in the future) four wheels steering systems such as HICAS tend to turn different depending on speed. Turning rear wheels opposite of the front wheels at low speeds and turning them at the same direction of the front wheels at high speed for greater stability.
.
It would also be neat if you could somehow implement the ATTESA four wheel drive system. I think "AngleOfSlip" could potentially be used for it alongside having an engine for powering each axle (or pair of wheels front/back).
A Hydrofoil Gorgeous in construction and perfect in operation. It remains so perfectly stable you could mistake it for having a powerful gyro inside, yet it doesn't!
@SyntheticL You can, check out my profile it has a link to a kit for making Free Divers. Although if you don't wanna use the VTOL system check out one of my latest submarines for an improved non-fuel diving system. I believe my George Washington has this system. Should probably make an updated kit that includes it.
I'm unsure if he'll accept Submerging submarines since he has previously stated a preference for surface ships. He should though! Submerged submarines would make for really fun targets both to ships and for submarine builds!
Information about things I've built and how they work, the learning of which spurred by an interest in replicating such functions (i.e. Submarine Ballast, Hydroplanes, Mcpherson and Semi Trailing Arm Suspension)
People here like builds that are 'out there' and unusual in their approach and results. Meme builds are a notable example, though the moderate to high popularity of many of my submarines show this as well given how they push what can be made functional (i.e. free diving submarines, submerged launched ballistic missiles).
NEVER. EVER. Do a collab with people of lesser skill than you, or else they might get greedy and try to leech points off your work. There's being generous, and then there's being exploited.
Don't do requests, while it's good to keep suggestions in mind, commiting to making something because people asked you too can similarly make you a target for greedy people.
The Keys to success on here are Patience and Persistence, patience to build and learn how to build better and Persistence in continuing to build. Unless you're truly bad at this game you will get somewhere in time. Just look at the early builds of people like me and Juanfly.
@MulletMan001 Thanks, JDM cars are of a certain kind of style, especially 80's and 90's ones. After this build I'm thinking of making a build that goes back to my roots.
Also, I'm very much with peeps saying you should branch out. For a time I was a bit too monotonous with Submarines, but then EternalDarkness told me that honestly and I branched out to do many other things I've enjoyed making. A fresh start in new territory could be quite worth it!
@Gestour Honestly I'm with you, kinda undermines building yourself up on this site if you give yourself a name completely different than before. I mean I didn't even know this was RussianAS/RussianAce until I looked at the profile. It's one thing to make a new name that's similar to the old one, but when you change your name this completely it just confuses peeps.
@MB777 The I-400 was made later in the war and only a few examples, while the Gato was a very common submarine alongside the Balao class for the US Navy, so their role and commonality were not comparable.
@EnzoDiazOfficial A base, unmoving circular rim is attached to the wheel (itself attached to a rotator from a custom steering system). On that base, the rotator is attached, and on that rotator another part is attached which spins. This part holds the spokes and other details.
@SyntheticL It's simple, you could either use a gyroscope or use 2 vertical wings, one in your boat made longer for forward stability, another acting as rudder for steering.
Some small jank aside this is a really cool build! And pretty fun to use, reminds me of a sword fighting guy I made long ago before I found my groove. You should totally try building swordfighting builds at some point!
Its atmosphere has honestly turned me off. It's not as bad as it theoretically can be but it was getting a bit too much like 4Chan b/ board. I left it alongside a few other servers after needing a break from SP things, don't think I'll return there.
@Lanc Calling something as innocuous as a cartoon 'cringe' and taking such issue with it is just a less self deprecating way of saying you're triggered.
If Jundroo makes a Simpleplanes 2 they should make their fuselage blocks based on the ideas shown here! If not the textures, the highly versatile ways that the fuselage blocks can be shaped! So many possibilities!
@Kipo People use Overload all the time, it's hardly really cheats anymore and it's even bundled with all versions of the game now. It's pretty much just the advanced features at this point.
They can float if you edit the attribute in overload. An advantage they have over normal fuselages is that you can set precise buoyancy values that are below 100% (ex: .256) where as on normal fuselage blocks you can only xml edit with that precision for values above 100%.
I only just noticed that the water in the cup moves around, neat detail!
@frank77831 Thanks! I was inspired to start building some Japanese cars after some fond memories of playing Tokyo Extreme Racer 3 as a kid.
+1@frank77831 Clever! I hope you try it, because it would be a neat feature to have and could improve handling.

@WarHawk95 Well that explains, no matter! In terms of updoots it's doing pretty well.
I mean it's under 100 parts so I imagine not handling well with ocean mod is the only reason this meme build wouldn't qualify.

+8@Walvis Check the guide on my profile for making free diving subs.
+1Not that I know of, I haven't worked with piston subs in ages
+1@SyntheticL I highly suggest reading the guide linked as well, it can help.

+1@winterro Oh sick! That's great!

+1My golly if he adds this one.
It'd be nuts if you somehow made one that could drift its way around a track.
I can detail the following
Information about things I've built and how they work, the learning of which spurred by an interest in replicating such functions (i.e. Submarine Ballast, Hydroplanes, Mcpherson and Semi Trailing Arm Suspension)
People here like builds that are 'out there' and unusual in their approach and results. @Cyieed462 No Tags for T, read the bottom of this post.
@SCP1471 Probably was an inopportune time to post it.
@XPlane10ProFlier Move the engines to the appropriate position, do likewise with the other parts
I hope that at some point the issue with the dark patches on the track is resolved.

+1Dear golly you’re doing the whole interior!
+1@FishMiner Hah! A glitch turned into an unexpected bit of realism, that's amazing.
+2Oh sweet! Someone made a fully detailed Udaloy!

+1@TheLurkingVexedVortex Updated the Directions, just to make sure it's known, Air to Air mode!
@TheLurkingVexedVortex You have to switch on Air to Air mode
@Blue0Bull Well now I know, thanks!
@Sm10684 A surprise indeed! I thought platinum peeps couldn't get their stuff featured!
@mLk17 Do it! This car does apparently have a bit of a reputation among drift circles.

+8There's empty coke cans in the back! Funny little detail
@Dlivinvs972 You learn fast, definitely give custom landing gear a try next time. I think you could figure it out pretty easily!
How long have you built things before making an account?
+1@TheLurkingVexedVortex I don't do the T thing. Whoever wants to be tagged, how about they type "Spinning Dorito" into the comments instead.
@DrTaco Must be Americans, mostly.

Asking for Subs is tacky yo.
+3Man how you've come a long way!
