I found the unit where the Arf&Arf served, the 457th Expeditionary group. But back in WW2 then the unit was founded in 1943, it was called the 457th Bombardment Group (Heavy). The group was approved for active service on July 1st. 1943 and it's first deployment to assist in Big Week. Your friend might want to start there. I found their wikipedia article here

The device does not matter. All you meed is a doscord account which is easy to set up. I use Doscord on my Ipad a lot of the time. It is not a Multiplayer thing. @Spinnes
