Haha right on thanks man. Yeah, I shoulda just taken the gyro out of there it really is useless and unnecessary.
Actually, apart from using Overload and Fine Tuner to change the scale and mass of the wings inside the parasail (and the mass of the fuselage parts in the parasail) I built all of this on my iPhone. I just built everything on the parasail upright and attached to the body of the craft by one hinge rotator. Then when it was finished, I rotated all of the parasail at once, with that one hinge rotator being the part I was rotating (with “connected parts”) and I just eyeballed it to get to around 45*. It was iffy and I know there’s a more precise way to do it using the mods but I don’t know how hahaha @XjayIndustrys
This thing looks pretty tricky man... I don’t think I will be able to help but I’ll look around to see if I can find an image of the interior... don’t hold your breath haha. But I really can’t wait to see what you come up with! @ThePrototype
Well... approximately. It’s not totally accurate, which is why I don’t consider it a replica. But hopefully it’s clear what it’s based on. I do this with most all my builds. I just don’t feel comfortable calling them replicas at my skill level, but also I want it to be clear (through the name and/or the shape of the plane) that it is not an original design. @Davisplanez
Yeah this plane does look pretty plain... I dunno why but I am just completely overwhelmed at the thought of doing livery stuff. Which is why, as you can see, none of my builds have liveries hahaha. Except the Cessnot, which has one small black stripe hahaha. Barely even counts. @XjayIndustrys
Sweet! Great work! And listen to what @GenericWhiteGuy tells you about ornithopters, he’ll def steer you in the right direction! Haha. You’re already better at making ornithopters than I am though haha so good job :)
Hmm, yeah. I can’t decide what to do about the prop... I folded the wings that way cause the idea is you can drive around like a boat without that whole pesky “taking off” thing haha. If I told the wings up, it’ll have too high of a center of mass when they’re folded and wouldn’t be able to speed around on the water. But you guys are definitely right about the tail being too big and the lg being too small, I’m working on those bits.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments and feedback, it was very helpful :) I’m going to tinker with this plane some more @XjayIndustrys
Oh, and one more thing: I may need your help getting the scale of this plane right (if you’re willing) since I seem to have so much trouble with that... but I’ll make the other changes/improvements first and then I’ll take a crack at it before I ask you again @Chancey21
Wow thank you so much!!! That was some great feedback, I’ll head back to the builder and see how I can make those improvements :)
One thing I was planning on doing was making custom landing gear, but I have never built custom retractable landing gear. How do you get the wheel to pass through/into the fuselage part? Do you just disable aircraft collisions on both parts? @Chancey21
Nice!!! Yeah this is based on the A5 but the shapes were too complicated for my poor little brain to approximate hahah. So I just built something after the same fashion. Martin Icon will be awesome I can’t wait to see it!!! Don’t forget to tag me when you’ve got something built! :) :) @Chancey21
Wow this is fantastic! Gotta be the fastest SP ornithopter ever, I bet. 500mph??? That’s crazy! Flies really smooth too you’re really getting good at this... only problem I can see is that it makes a lot of the dreaded “chit” sound haha. But that’s not a real big deal. Could be fixed easily...
Thank you so much! And also; honestly, both of you build mechanisms that are completely baffling and awe inspiring. I know you’re just being modest but don’t sell yourself short! Haha :) @BaconAircraft
Wow okay thank you! Actually, would you mind scaling this one for me? I’m not sure if I’ll public post it again but I would like to have it for myself at least. I don’t know why... I just can’t get it to fly right when I scale it myself... @Chancey21
Wow that’s crazy. I didn’t think it was possible for a steam powered anything to fly... let alone a 19th century design... @ThePrototype
Interesting... @ThePrototype
Haha yes it’s definitely modeled after the A5. If I were a better builder I would have just built a replica haha. Anyway, thank you ;) @Smach3
No idea! Any thoughts? @XjayIndustrys
Thanks for all of your feedback man I really appreciate it! @XjayIndustrys
+1Haha right on thanks man. Yeah, I shoulda just taken the gyro out of there it really is useless and unnecessary.

+1:) @GenericWhiteGuy
+1Wow I can’t believe they actually built that!!! That’s crazy haha. I guess it didn’t fly tho right? @ThePrototype
Haha. That’s okay man, I appreciate you trying. I think I’m just going to leave it as is and move on to the next thing :) @XjayIndustrys
This thing looks pretty tricky man... I don’t think I will be able to help but I’ll look around to see if I can find an image of the interior... don’t hold your breath haha. But I really can’t wait to see what you come up with! @ThePrototype
Oh hahah right on. Well it’s cool! @XjayIndustrys
Wow this things got a lot of engines!!! Looks cool! Why is it rotated to the left 45ish deg. ?
Please do as much of the inside as is possible/reasonable hahaha. @ThePrototype
Haha. Right on man, thank you :) @Rymanx03
Omg yess please do thissss
Looks great!
Beautiful plane!
Yessir it is :)

Haha because such wings @AWESOMENESS360
Haha. Right on, thank you! The exhaust part, however, was created by @Chancey21 but still, thank you for the kind words :) @GenericWhiteGuy
:) :) @GenericWhiteGuy
@XjayIndustries and @Chancey21 both gave me some great feedback on how to make it better @ThePrototype
Thank you :) @yoshicraze
Hahaha @AWESOMENESS360
@Chancey21 I guess if you have a chance, maybe you could help me get this plane to the right scale? I just can’t seem to get it right :(
Heck yes man this things sweet! I have such a big collection of ornithopters now! Hahaha @GenericWhiteGuy
+1Don’t forget to tag me I really want to see these upside down gull wings that you speak of! @XjayIndustrys
Haha. Man, you’re crazy! Lol jk @XjayIndustrys
@XjayIndustrys @Chancey21
Right on! Thank you so much :) that’s good to hear that I’ve improved it hahaha @AWESOMENESS360
Sweet! Great work! And listen to what @GenericWhiteGuy tells you about ornithopters, he’ll def steer you in the right direction! Haha. You’re already better at making ornithopters than I am though haha so good job :)
Sweet plane, nice work!!
I just tagged you on a new version... although I didn’t change the prop or wing fold haha :/ @XjayIndustrys
Thank you very much :) @Carbonfox1
Oh, I see, kinda like the Corsair? Like that? @XjayIndustrys
+1:) thank you! @Griffinthedragon

That was a really nice compliment about the pros of my plane thank you very very much :) :) @Chancey21
Wow thank you so much!!! That was some great feedback, I’ll head back to the builder and see how I can make those improvements :)

Forgive my ignorance, but what is sth? Is that something? @GenericWhiteGuy
Awesome bike!!! Or... trike, if you like :)

I’m not familiar with that one... @Kimcotupan15
Wow okay thank you! Actually, would you mind scaling this one for me? I’m not sure if I’ll public post it again but I would like to have it for myself at least. I don’t know why... I just can’t get it to fly right when I scale it myself... @Chancey21
