    @BirdOfSteel update

  • X-Ray 8.8 years ago

    @BirdOfSteel it's that feature that was leaked a few weeks ago.

    Fine tuner with a multi-selection and edit mode.

  • Fine Tuner 8.8 years ago

    @MechWARRIOR57 you need to go into multi edit mode -_-

    Hit the button again... the one that now says "Multi-Edit" instead of "Multi-Select".

  • Fine Tuner 8.8 years ago

    @MechWARRIOR57 um, that's really specific....... what's the problem?

  • Fine Tuner 8.8 years ago

    @MechWARRIOR57
    PC/Mac
    Android/kindle
    multi-tool public beta testing is open, until whenever I feel like pushing the update to the mod post!

    @MechWARRIOR57 For Android? Quit horribly........ until today.... I hate GUI :/

    There's still a null reference exception that breaks the fine tuner until you exit the designer, but it doesn't happen very often, and since I have no clue what's going on with it, I'm probably going to leave it in the original release, which could be soon...

  • Fine Tuner 8.8 years ago

    @Alienbeef0421 they don't, until you gimbal lock, usually happens with an X around 270.

  • Multiplayer Hosting 8.8 years ago

    @FlipposMC Sounds good :)

  • Multiplayer Hosting 8.8 years ago

    @FlipposMC you can DEFINITELY install the mono runtime on OSX (10.7 and later)... the link I gave was specifically for OSX.
    The question is if it will actually work correctly... I'd say it's worth a shot...

  • Multiplayer Hosting 8.8 years ago

    @DandruffCat .exe file is an executable for Windows operating systems -_-

    You might be able to install the mono runtime, and then from the terminal mono SPServer.exe, but I'm not sure if that works on Mac, I just know it worked on my Linux Virtual Machine.

  • Idea for 'modding' on app-store mac 8.8 years ago

    @WillB88 malware detectors miss things, Apple's not dumb enough to rely on them catching everything.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.8 years ago

    @WillB88 if you've got the SimplePlanes data folder, with xml files and stuff, you should be able to just create the "Mods" folder if it's not there, but I'm afraid I don't have a Mac, so I can't try it myself

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.8 years ago

    @WillB88 yeah it should work :)

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.8 years ago

    @lowjames123 and demanding it, or unnecessarily replying, to only one segment of a response, will not make it come faster... though, it may serve to irritate those who have all the control over the mod...

  • *LEAKED Fine Tuner Feature* 8.8 years ago

    @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation lifted.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.8 years ago

    @lowjames123

    and it is unlikely that there will ever be an android version in the foreseeable future.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.8 years ago

    @Wahoo12 No other package is needed, just the .spmod file.
    What's the error message?

  • *LEAKED Fine Tuner Feature* 8.9 years ago

    @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation fixed what was broken.

  • *LEAKED Fine Tuner Feature* 8.9 years ago

    @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation The fix is up, if you wish to see it, download the latest version from the mod post...

    I solemnly swear to not use it for evil... most of the time...
    }:)

  • *LEAKED Fine Tuner Feature* 8.9 years ago

    @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation @Sauce Oops... it's broken for Android... fix coming soon...

  • THE PHOENIX server 8.9 years ago

    @poenix from the mod post:

    (The same instructions for "could not open port" may be used for "UPnP Gateway not found")

    Referenced instructions may be found in the "TO HOST A SERVER" section of the mod post.

  • THE PHOENIX server 8.9 years ago

    @poenix the IP in the post now is your LOCAL IP...... computers on the same network as the host will need to use the local IP, but anyone else needs the GLOBAL IP.

  • THE PHOENIX server 8.9 years ago

    127.0.0.1 means "localhost", or "this computer", to a computer.

    For people to connect to the server (assuming everything worked correctly), they need your global IP address, which you can get by googling "what is my IP", or going to whatismyip.com

  • The Server -OFFline- 8.9 years ago

    That is your local IP address, for people outside your network to connect, they'll need your global IP address, which you can get by googling "What is my IP address"

  • Totaliter Ridicula 8.9 years ago

    @TheTekkit101 ... the background was in the stock game...

  • Fine Tuner 8.9 years ago

    @arcues The fine tuner essentially uses the XML attribute scale="x,y,z", so that's a bug to report to the devs... but I think it doesn't usually wobble if you turn off mass scale (which uses massScale="multiplier")...

  • Fine Tuner 8.9 years ago

    @MechWARRIOR57 how should I know? Depends on what you get banned for, doesn't it?

  • Why does this happen???? 8.9 years ago

    @FlipposMC it should work, if you can run the executable, but I haven't tested and can't guarantee anything :/

    Also, most servers run Linux, which doesn't run .exes... but if you install the mono runtime, sudo apt-get install mono-complete, then cd (change directory/ current directory) over to the folder which has the SPServer.exe, and mono SPServer.exe, then it should run.
    I have tested using mono on a VM and it logs a warning but runs perfectly fine, however, again, I have not tried on a remote server.

  • Why does this happen???? 8.9 years ago

    @FlipposMC There seems to be a bug where sometimes installing a mod will screw up all your mods, though I've never encountered it myself, you should probably see if you can contact the devs and provide them with your debuglog.txt file in your SimplePlanesData folder, though I'm not sure it will be any use to them after any sessions after the time when you originally loaded and found the mods all screwed up :/

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @gregorjakob see here

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @TheJohnnyMan it should say connecting, joining, joined, if it worked, or if it didn't work it should said failed.
    if it says nothing, try the Connect command listed in the main post.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Chezz run the server executable and everyone needs to connect to the host computer by local IP, which is listed by the executable during startup.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Aerobako I asked what IP, "the corresponding IP" means nothing for certain to me.

    if you mean 127.0.0.1, that won't work unless you're hosting the server on the same PC you're running SP on, since 127.0.0.1 tells your computer and the mod "this computer that I'm using right now".
    if you're literally entering [IP], you're supposed to replace it with the IP address of the server.

    To find a server that's running, check here.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Aerobako did you try the Connect command listed in the post?
    Does it just not do anything except load into the game, or does it say "Failed to connect"?
    If it says "Failed to connect", what IP are you connecting to, and if using the command, exactly how are you entering it?

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Aerobako Unfortunately, we still don't know what actually causes the bugs, but it's relatively high on the priority list.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @DeltaFlyer112 @Z3RO Try the servers listed here :)

  • Are Mods out for Amazon yet? 8.9 years ago

    Amazon devices (kindle fire, fire hd, fire hdx, etc) are just modified Android, they use the Android mod file.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Patrick20206 what server are you trying to connect to?

  • Fine Tuner 8.9 years ago

    @TehDuck I can confirm...

  • mods in gernal 8.9 years ago

    @Flightsonic malicious mods could harm your computer as well as any .exe, since modding has unrestricted code support running free.
    Permissions might be difficult to get around for anything outside the SP app data (haven't tried), but even that's possible I believe... and as for anything that IS in the SP app data... well I made a mod that deletes itself and closes the game. I could make it delete pretty much anything else in that folder too.

    Though I'm fairly sure all mods currently in the mods tab are not malicious, it's always good to be cautious, since they definitely have the capability.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @BungieChair send me some of these higher end few devices that still only MIGHT be able to handle it, and pay me $50+ an hour, then we can talk about wasting my time like that for something that almost nobody will be able to use.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @MRstadlles ... main post:

    To use the in-game "chat", open the dev console, and type
    say "whatever you want to say"
    quotes are required if you have spaces in whatever you want to say.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @JovianPat game doesn't need to be running to be hosting, just the executable :)

    Edit: and yes, if you close the server executable, the server will fall.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @VladCelTroll it's on the ToDo list, but there's more important stuff to iron out before then.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Patrick20206

    To connect to a server, go into the designer, hit the new "MP" button, type in the server IP address, and hit join.
    If this does not say you joined, or failed to connect, then you may be experiencing a bug, open the dev console with the backtick key, usually under esc, and type SetName [username] (not required, but recommended to ensure you don't show up as LazyNullName), and then Connect [IP].
    When a checkbox is blank, that means UNchecked, a checkbox with black square in it means CHECKED.

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @VladCelTroll Ssshhhh!!!! Nobody is supposed to know that top secret efficiency technique!
    (just kidding, I was wondering when someone would figure that out, and if they'd bother to say anything XD)

  • SimplePlanes Multiplayer 8.9 years ago

    @Digger1213 use the Connect command, added to the directions, as well as SetName (see main post)
