@Flightsonic You mean you did it manually? This does it automatically if possible.
It might not work, actually, it doesn't work for me, but if it can, it'll handle it automagically, otherwise... the router sucks (yes, my router sucks :/)
(it's also possible for it to be a setting on many routers... mine cooperated for like 5 minutes once, but I couldn't get it to work for longer, and I forgot how I even did that)
@saxyplane @Thefalloutplayr Activation Group 8 is what RCN is bound to by default, and it's great for if you want to be able to de-activate something but want AI to use it.
@RedstoneArmory running the executable creates the server... There is no in-game GUI for it, and there won't be, but there will be a GUI with server options on the executable.
It's like running a Terraria server, with the executable they provide (except I'm gonna add a GUI).
And there won't be a list of servers, because then I would need to keep up and maintenance a "server list" server, where servers register, which is a bunch of trouble.
It's hardly any trouble to type in an IP address. That's how Terraria and Minecraft do it!
@RedstoneArmory not exactly, it will include the server executable which anyone can run, if you give people your IP around the world, it can be "global", or if you just use IPv4 inside the LAN, then it can be LAN (you can also do both at once).
@Coen1888 kindle fire is just Amazon's modified Android, and since my only "Android" device right now is an HDX, plus as far as I've tried Android mods work on kindle fire, you'll almost definitely be able to use it if we get an Android version working :)
@Sirstupid I made it, that's why I said "of mine", sorry I wasn't more clear.
I could add it to a separate mod... but if I do that I want to add AI to the new plane (I can just use SPs AI, but the modding API doesn't give you access to that), and right now it just loads editor.xml, so it's just a duplicate of your plane... I may work on it after MP is good.
@Challenger Right... but then they'd need to keep it good quality, maintenance, and properly integrate with the game... and of course, the biggest thing is, that's all assuming Android can handle it, and that the networking solution I'm using will work properly on Android.
@IStoleYourMeme Now that I think of it, I think someone did say something about perfectly placed guns firing past props, before mobile update came out...
Well, physics are a little different on mobile... maybe that's why...
@TheLatentImage Pretty much what I did, but since I have a dev command of mine that lets me spawn a plane in sandbox, I had some fun with falling planes as well as stationary bridges }:)
@Flightsonic It's still TBA, I'll ask UO to edit the description when we release it, or put it in beta or something, but I'll also be posting about anything past closed beta.
@Flightsonic no problem, that's a fair question... there actually isn't really... I'm thinking about making a thread in the Steam modding forum (maybe reddit, too) for the multiplayer "dev log", but IDK how often I'd actually post to it, since development is pretty sporadic...
@dsr1aviation yeah I was there... TheMasterSoldier was a bit of a jerk... but I don't think it was ban-worthy... and it was just the one post, and three or four comments...
Edit: I did delete my comment, though... it said TheMasterSoldier was heavily implying everyone's planes were bad... I was almost disappointed when he didn't try to argue against me on that :p
@TheMasterSoldier "If mobile devices and pcs have the same blocks the multiplayer would work and be compatible with both versions"... No, it wouldn't. The multiplayer mod relies on networking stuff that might not work on android, not to mention possible performance issues, and oddities with using many of the .NET libraries on mobile.
@CDUflappy Still working on debris sync... currently waiting for a response from the devs about some information that could make debris sync 5 times easier.
While waiting I've been thinking of the possibility to let other mods use a provided script to sync stuff they need to sync, but I'm not sure about that yet, literally just thinking (ok, and a tiny bit of conversing...)
@TheMasterSoldier I'm guessing you're probably on mobile from that, but if on PC, me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod... we may look into Android after PC is working as we want it to, but Android might not work.
iOS however, is impossible because Apple's policy doesn't allow modding.
Me and UnstableOrbit are developing a multiplayer mod... though it certainly can't be on iOS because of Apple's policy, and we don't know about Android... We may look into an Android port after PC version is done, but it might not work.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries You don't install XML "mods", you just edit the XML file (or download someone's modded part, just like an airplane), Here are WalrusAircraft's xml editing notes if that's what you want.
If you mean mods that you actually install, those are mods made with Unity (not xml), and you just download the .spmod file, then open it (might need to tell your computer to open with SimplePlanes). If that somehow fails, find the same folder your AircraftDesigns folder is in (C:/Users/[your_username]/AppData/LocalLow/Jundroo/SimplePlanes on PC), make a new folder and name it "Mods", then drop the .spmod extension in there.

Mods like ".SPmod" files?
Android needs ".SPmod-Android", iOS doesn't support them because of Apple's policy.
If I could upvote this twice... oh wait, I did! 'cause you posted on reddit, too :p.
That's really cool, and I'm amazed at your pilot skills, I've always forgotten to use yaw to counter spin and then... BOOM, crash, BANG...
@saxyplane @Thefalloutplayr Activation Group 8 is what RCN is bound to by default, and it's great for if you want to be able to de-activate something but want AI to use it.
@Flightsonic If your router supports UPnP, like I think most do these days, yes it should handle port forwarding.
@RyneKuczy lol, apparently saying he should have settled on the account ban is "starting another round of trash talking from the others"...
@DeezDucks Maybe not!
https://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/comments/42egpc/pleaseunbanme/
Me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod, if you're on PC (hopefully Android, but we aren't going to even look into it until PC release).
It's not a glitch, it gives you an achievement on Steam.
If you want the race to be fair, just DON'T USE THE WEAPONS. It's your choice.
@Lucasmah Yeah, wish I could help... and lol, it did it with your comment (only one duplicate of the comment, though).
@SalemASaberhagen I think it was probably a bug, but either way he needs to get deleting...
@RedstoneArmory Ok.
@JovianPat Haha, awesome =D
@JovianPat Now dogfight with it!
That looks awesome :)
@Sirstupid Do'h! I actually knew that... morning memory :(
XML is plenty useful to create planes with good handling, since with XML, you can make much finer edits, which can make balance much easier.
That's a really nice plane, though, as I said, XML just makes it easier for some people (like me, who lack building skill), you did a great job.

Yes, with really fast turns, when the missile is close... also easier if you're flying towards it.
I've only dodged a couple, because my planes don't do turns at high speeds well, but some people don't even have trouble dodging them

@Coen1888 After PC is done we may look into Android, but Apple's policy makes iOS impossible.
I'll add this to the post
@Sirstupid It's a command I made for testing stuff in the multiplayer mod (the command is in the MP mod), if that's what you mean?
@Sirstupid I made it, that's why I said "of mine", sorry I wasn't more clear.
I could add it to a separate mod... but if I do that I want to add AI to the new plane (I can just use SPs AI, but the modding API doesn't give you access to that), and right now it just loads editor.xml, so it's just a duplicate of your plane... I may work on it after MP is good.
@Firstorder The mod is free roam... however, I may add a multiplayer API, and then other modders could create missions designed for multiplayer...
@Challenger Right... but then they'd need to keep it good quality, maintenance, and properly integrate with the game... and of course, the biggest thing is, that's all assuming Android can handle it, and that the networking solution I'm using will work properly on Android.
@TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie A lot of people requested that, it's awesome it's finally coming!
(So yeah, huge thanks, devs!)
@IStoleYourMeme Now that I think of it, I think someone did say something about perfectly placed guns firing past props, before mobile update came out...
Well, physics are a little different on mobile... maybe that's why...
@LoganAerocraft Me and UnstableOrbit are working on a multiplayer mod (PC, maybe Android, Apple's policy says not iOS).
"The guns on the PC version can fire through propellers" uh... mine always blow me up... do they need to be placed perfectly for this?
@TheLatentImage Pretty much what I did, but since I have a dev command of mine that lets me spawn a plane in sandbox, I had some fun with falling planes as well as stationary bridges }:)
@Skua That's why it's got the explosives! Well, mostly because I can't aim I mean... :P
Thanks for the help on this plane, I modified it a bit more and now it can fly ok at 40,000ft... still not very good, but OK XD
This thing will lose... but hopefully it'll be funny! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/xWsCXJ/Silver-Blood-Devil
The devs are aware, please remove this so you aren't screaming it to anyone who will use it. saying not to isn't going to stop people.
(PM them on reddit next time)
@FullFruntall "@HellFireKoder you need som1 to photoshop that dragon spitting out lines off code on fire"
What do ya think? It's not real code, though... just ones and zeros...
They're also not on fire, because I'm lazy...
@Flightsonic It's still TBA, I'll ask UO to edit the description when we release it, or put it in beta or something, but I'll also be posting about anything past closed beta.

@dilisvarskvlavi It's a mod for SimplePlanes.
@UnstableOrbit is developing the SimpleWarships mod, which has cannons...
@dsr1aviation yeah I was there... TheMasterSoldier was a bit of a jerk... but I don't think it was ban-worthy... and it was just the one post, and three or four comments...

@Flightsonic @Nickasaurus happened here, too XD
NO IT DIDN'T!
It came on PC first, through Gumroad. Then mobile, and, over a year later, it came on Steam.
@TheSilvaHuntsman not me, sorry.
Also, what database?

@RamboGaming ok..? That's by the end of the month, like I said...
Sorry, I already saw you say that in a previous thread, and I got over-excited when I got a notification...
By the end of the month.
