@Manatee uh... do you have the steam beta? IDK if Mac steam has the beta? Anyway, I think I broke the PC download for anything older than the 1.4 beta, sorry about that, here's a backup that I think works without the beta
@WNP78 Did you use the beta mod tools package? I can't test yet but if so, @SeraphimVault's troubles with it not working are probably the beta mod tools, which don't seem to work on older versions of the game :(
That error is because Android wasn't selected in your build targets when you installed Unity, just run the installer again, make sure it's the installed folder that's selected, and uncheck everything but Android build support, then let it do it's thing, and that should fix the error :)
I could be wrong, but I think SimplePlanes was "born" in Andrew Garrison's house, but has mostly grown up in Jundroo's office, which is fairly small and the last "tour" they did (yes they did one, sort of) was turning the camera XD
Of course, a new, quick camera spin tour wouldn't hurt :P
Probably around when google play update comes out, possibly a couple days later because Amazon occasionally takes longer to actually update stuff, but they usually get the Amazon update out within a day or two of google play (Android, but technically amazon devices are Android, just Amazon's modified version).
@kikasshes ok I tested pistons and fuselage blocks, and it works fine for me, make sure it's disableAircraftCollisions="true", the 's' is important, and that there are spaces on both sides of it (unless it's the last attribute in your part tag, then it doesn't need a space on the right side, and actually you might want to make it the last attribute).
@kikasshes yes, because I realized I hadn't actually tested what I was saying, which was basically "you probably messed up"... not the best thing to have not tested :p.
I'll be testing it soon-ish hopefully and I'll report back.
@TehDuck Probably shortly after the Steam beta is over and officially released, as I made bug fixes but I updated to the latest mod tools, which don't seem to work on older versions of the game.
OSX Users: @SpiritusRaptor has provided the following instructions for you:
Under older OSX versions, you can locate your files to edit at: /Users/NAME/Library/Containers/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/AircraftDesigns/...
With the latest version you can find the folder here: /Users/NAME/Library/Application Support/unity.Jundroo.SimplePlanes
@Flightsonic Well you'll have to cancel the current attempt to bake the GI, maybe save the lighting settings and close Unity, also make sure to turn off automatic baking... if that doesn't work, I don't know. It fixed the problem for me and lots of other people, because it's stuck on part of the baking, so IDK why it wouldn't work if you turned off the baking and stopped the current bake attempt :/
@FlyingHonda27 Yeah, I made one to test, and it works, the wheel can clip through the plane just fine, and it's the only thing with the disableAircraftCollisions="true" :)
@Luke92778 enable viewing of hidden folders? I don't have Mac, so I can't test, but it seems to be there for some people and not for others, so I assume it's hidden folders like one Windows, but I don't know :/
@Leonidas1210 well whether you spam or not, embedded images slow down the site, and too many people do it, more people learn how, and then a fair portion of them spam them, so the moderators prefer people just link the images.
Well, it took me about a day and a half of strong focus to figure out, because setting the shader to transparent mode was odd and new, and I had to enable "emission" as well otherwise it didn't work, which makes no sense at all XD
And it completely ignores the opacity that I set, so something is clearly still off =(
@SimpleTechAndResearch the moderators and devs would appreciate if people didn't post a bunch of images embedded in the page, because it slows down the site, so everyone please just link the images by doing [clicky text](URL) (as SimpleTechAndResearch said)
@BaconEggs I don't think you should need to, if it's on the wheels and any parts touching them it should be fine? But I don't know, it's worth a shot if it's not working...
@Manatee Well then idk why it doesn't work :/
Does the backup work at least?
@Manatee uh... do you have the steam beta? IDK if Mac steam has the beta? Anyway, I think I broke the PC download for anything older than the 1.4 beta, sorry about that, here's a backup that I think works without the beta
@KingDeadshot No, it's Sparta.
@WNP78 Did you use the beta mod tools package? I can't test yet but if so, @SeraphimVault's troubles with it not working are probably the beta mod tools, which don't seem to work on older versions of the game :(
@WNP78 No, the identifier isn't supposed to have spaces in it, so [Mod name here] becomes [mod name here with spaces removed] :P
What's the trouble with Steam workshop?
@WNP78 I just set it to com.hellfirekoder.SP[Mod name here], but I don't think it matters.
That error is because Android wasn't selected in your build targets when you installed Unity, just run the installer again, make sure it's the installed folder that's selected, and uncheck everything but Android build support, then let it do it's thing, and that should fix the error :)

Okay, I completed the jump =D
(not with the little bugger though...)

@joeysellers Looking forward to the trailer, you guys have done some awesome work :)
It was easy for me, I feel like I'm missing out on a good challenge :/
Awesome stuff, keep up the great work!
I find it funny that a tall/stretched landing gear works like normal even though it's a long ovoid :P
@FlyingHonda27 XML is a fancy text file with some nice setup and "features" that make it good for storing data.
@FlyingHonda27 XML isn't coding, but good on ya!
@SimpleTechAndResearch Note: some people can be patient and stop complaining.
@TehDuck Probably shortly after the Steam beta is over and officially released, as I made bug fixes but I updated to the latest mod tools, which don't seem to work on older versions of the game.
@xEliteGamingx right-click and open with a text editor then.
@xEliteGamingx quote from this post:

It has nothing to do with the mod tools, it's a common Unity issue.
Maybe turn off baked GI in the lighting tab?
@joeysellers
*tells self "stay professional and stay cool", over and over, for several minutes*
49515824 44958 49515824 44958 49515824 44958 49515824 44958 49515824 44958!!!
(Translation: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!)
@NovaTopaz Yes, it's hilarious :)
Hover the mouse over the timestamp, it says "Dates are never coming back"... I don't think that's a bug ;)
Yes actually! It was really cool ;)
I didn't find any bugs, I even rotated stuff with my fine tuner mod to see if it messed it up, and it still worked properly =D
I would say, maybe just a tad much hand-holding?
I just mean, you've already told me a bazillion times which menu opens the part list! :P
it still randomly explodes for me =(
(high physics settings on PC)
Fair plane otherwise! I like all the armaments =D
(maybe it could pitch better? It's good though)
@WalrusAircraft Here's the important script, which is put on the part GameObject during the part modifier's Initialization ;)
@FlyingHonda27 Yeah, I made one to test, and it works, the wheel can clip through the plane just fine, and it's the only thing with the disableAircraftCollisions="true" :)
It's just XML, no 'T', and you can't make the bullets explosive :/
@Luke92778 Like I said, maybe it's a hidden folder, google around and see how to show hidden folders on Mac?
I don't have a Mac, so I can't test.
@Luke92778 enable viewing of hidden folders? I don't have Mac, so I can't test, but it seems to be there for some people and not for others, so I assume it's hidden folders like one Windows, but I don't know :/
@Thefalloutplayr Yes, with the direct image link, .jpg as he said, or .png, or .gif, etc.
@Leonidas1210 well whether you spam or not, embedded images slow down the site, and too many people do it, more people learn how, and then a fair portion of them spam them, so the moderators prefer people just link the images.
Just link them, like
[clicky text](URL)
.@aircraftarsenal123 only 2 months old should work unless it's already been used.
"How to activate a steam key"
Um, all of the part destruction physics are reliant on that "setting" in the code, which is not just one setting....
Also, Mac can XML edit...
Besides, bugs like this should be in PRIVATE MESSAGES to the devs, not posted publicly.
The devs are well aware, I told them ages ago, and it used to be able to let you upvote yourself, which they fixed.
I reported this to the devs ages ago, seems they only fixed the part where it let you upvote yourself :/
@WalrusAircraft Thanks!

(as SimpleTechAndResearch said)@FrankieB Simple explanation
@SimpleTechAndResearch Haha =D
Well, it looks like jelly, or jello, or... just plastic, whatever :P
It's actually Cthulhu, for future reference ;)
@BaconEggs I don't think you should need to, if it's on the wheels and any parts touching them it should be fine? But I don't know, it's worth a shot if it's not working...
@PhilipTarpley But mine always crashes and burns, with no style, so mine sucks more :P
