@WNP78 Thanks, but I already knew how to do that (guess it's better than a single asterisk...), I meant just a totally white newline, as @NathanMikeska did here
You don't need Visual Studio, you can use a different IDE or just a text editor, but I would highly recommend Visual Studio, it's well integrated with Unity, fairly customizable , and really a great IDE.
I think you should have the mod tools in your SimplePlanes installation (SimplePlanes/Mod Tools), but you can download them from here.
And remember the modding wiki for tutorials and explanations on things :)
Good luck, and have fun modding!
Edit: Devs, how to new/blank line in a comment or post? I've seen you guys do it!!!
Edit2: yay whitespace newlines!!! Thanks @NathanMikeska =D
@JMicah4 @OrionAstronaut keep in mind, that is just XML editing, though it does seem that's what you're asking for, it's not a "proper" mod, which is made with Unity and the SimplePlanes mod tools package.
I'm starting to see a pattern... you make a post mentioning drama (among/with/by platinum users), get comments, then delete it and make a new one... seems like you like drama.
I assure you, most of the platinums have no intention of causing drama, they don't think for an instant they're above everyone else, and often try to help out more than others.
@jfriss Well, you could always scale the engine power DOWN.... or you could scale the engine up with scale engine power on, then turn scale engine power off and scale the engine down, which will leave the engine power as it was when it was big.
Using so many tags that don't belong will make relevant stuff harder to find in the future.
This is not at all phrased as a question, it's hardly an announcement, and you didn't tell a story... no, "people don't always upvote stuff people put time into" is not a story.
I've been here literally since the very beginning of the game (well, only on this site since the site became a thing a while later), and if I recall correctly, I have the fourth (or fifth?) oldest account on the site, including devs.
I have only 2,759 points (as of typing this)... and I don't give a $#!%.
@DESTROX25 Most likely, you won't even get a little bit sick, though it depends on the eggs and your immune system, it's more likely for you to die in a car accident, so if you're not freaking out when in a moving car, there's no reason to freak out now.
@Flightsonic Well if you somehow find the files, you should be able to XML edit, but not Unity modding... even if it has the code for mods (I'm pretty sure it doesn't), iOS would need it's own specific mod file, like Android does, but we can't build to iOS, so it still wouldn't work
@TimothyWong It works just fine on Windows 10... perhaps you're using the wrong link? The one in the main post is an old link, for the version with scaling, check here.
@mattmck Bugs that for all we can tell shouldn't happen, SimplePlanes code base isn't very conducive to multiplayer, and because of "life" we haven't exactly had much time to work on it :/
@mattmck Still don't know about release, sorry...
and there (probably?) won't be a setting for local, it will basically just work, and you will type in the local IP address of the host machine instead of the global IP (it already works, so... yeah... maybe I could make a server option that doesn't open ports on your router, so that people can't connect from outside your network, but that'd only be a problem if you told everyone your IP, so I'm not sure...)
@BritishNarwhal yeah, just follow the manual directions for installation that are.in the post... and remember that you need to disable the mod and exit the game to turn gravity back on.
@WahrscheinlichIch Here's the beta version with scaling, though scaling it down is unlikely to make a noticeable difference in performance, as it's still 600 parts, with the same physics calculations and stuff happening... then again, I'm not sure how the size affects rendering performance.
Look at those, and tell me what the difference is, besides the fact that you left your own username, "SwagMaster", instead of putting "[UserName]", which was supposed to be replaced with your username anyway, so that would make what I said:
@BroPlanes Apple's policy prevents SimplePlanes from supporting mods on iOS.
Purely out of curiosity, what have you got so far?
And is that anti-gravity engine, or hover engine? Sounds more like a hover engine, but maybe that's just me...
@NathanMikeska Thank you!!!
I can finally have my precious whitespace =D

@tank57 for what? Sure it's usually easier, but it's also far more limited.
@tank57 Oh, I forgot to say, if you mean XML editing, check here.
@Gamechievements @Johndfg Very sorry guys, I don't actually have OSX so I don't know how to help :(
https://www.reddit.com/r/SimplePlanes/wiki/modding#wikigettingstarted
@Eckosong No, I just make game-mods, though I've been here since the very first alpha of the game, I've never been a moderator.
%%SteamPath%%/SteamApps/common/SimplePlanes/Mod Tools/
Where
%%SteamPath%%
Is where ever you have Steam installed.666(.Ɛ)
@Eagle355 Apple's policy prevents mod support on iOS.
@Johndfg yes, however for size you will need this new version instead of the one in the main post :)
@JMicah4 @OrionAstronaut keep in mind, that is just XML editing, though it does seem that's what you're asking for, it's not a "proper" mod, which is made with Unity and the SimplePlanes mod tools package.
@goboygo1 this version has scaling :)
@TooniisAerospace like this version?
Maybe if you didn't keep making new posts about it.

@LightningTreeSavor because of Apple's policy, iOS doesn't support mods
Good luck, mwahahahaha.
@FighterCrafter14 this version can :)
@jfriss Well, you could always scale the engine power DOWN.... or you could scale the engine up with scale engine power on, then turn scale engine power off and scale the engine down, which will leave the engine power as it was when it was big.
@jfriss ... Hit the scale button.... type in each of the scale(x,y,z) boxes a number smaller than 1.00... and hit scale....
@jfriss With the PC download linked in this comment :)
XML Edit *
Here :)
@FighterCrafter14 Apple's policy doesn't allow mods on iOS
@ChasingHorizon the main post is an "old" download, for scaling get this one :)
@MrRifqi it's a new version that I haven't "officially" released, but you can get it here :)
Cool post!
Using so many tags that don't belong will make relevant stuff harder to find in the future.

FTFY
@Flightsonic @XxcreedexX iOS version of SimplePlanes doesn't support real mods, whether you jailbreak or not :/
@TimothyWong It works just fine on Windows 10... perhaps you're using the wrong link? The one in the main post is an old link, for the version with scaling, check here.
Here you go :)
@mattmck Bugs that for all we can tell shouldn't happen, SimplePlanes code base isn't very conducive to multiplayer, and because of "life" we haven't exactly had much time to work on it :/

"the pilot model" isn't a mod... it's not even an XML edit, it's just a now hidden part, that wasn't even hidden a while back...
Who said it's never been official? The devs confirmed it at one point!
Well congrats...
Also, for future reference, it's Cthulhu (because the game files, made by the devs, call it Cthulhu)... and maybe we should get that guide renamed? :P
@inspectregaben @birdsofsteel @YourFish Yeah, the game files call it Cthulhu, so, it's Cthulhu :)
@BritishNarwhal yeah, just follow the manual directions for installation that are.in the post... and remember that you need to disable the mod and exit the game to turn gravity back on.

@CaesiciusPlanes It's not in the definite plans, sorry.
@CaesiciusPlanes work with... what?
@Gamechievements glad you got it to work, though...
@Gamechievements no it isn't, in the main post I said:
You said:
Look at those, and tell me what the difference is, besides the fact that you left your own username, "SwagMaster", instead of putting "[UserName]", which was supposed to be replaced with your username anyway, so that would make what I said:
For you (assuming that's your real username), which makes them identical.
