If you're looking for a joystick to start with, I highly recommend the T.Flight Hotas 4 , It's a great hotas from beginner to pro, and it's not that expensive.
it has a twist grip, and it's got a pedal on the trottle that can be used as Yaw as well.
pedals are a problem... they're big and take space, not to mention usually expensive.
I'd recommend getting pedals only if you're serious about flying Heli's and such in simulators.

regarding physics well, SP really depends on what you build...
I think it's more of a physics simulator than a flight simulator, but if you have the time, patience and a few thousand parts, you can make a plane be as realistic like in any simulator.
Regarding helicopter physics, there's ground effect there...
If you want to try helicopter flying, Try DCS Wolrd, it's the most realistic helicopter sim out there.
If simpleplanes and other games were Highly realistic in their helicopter flight model, You'd have less players piloting them in games like SP, Arma, Battlefield, and War thunder etc..

I love the tower and the size of the island.
Works great with the first town as well, no lagging or problems.
so far no bugs or invisible collisions.
One thing I would add is something in the big open space around the tower, like some ramps or a small track, or maybe a harbor on one of the sides.

It's already at 531 parts as it is, and I'm already making a "Lower" part version that'll be uploaded as well..
@metallicplanes That's the only solution I know of.
If you get channel switched then you need to restart, or try what I suggested before.

@Kakhikotchauri1 yup, and if you put a "!" sign it'll turn into an image in description..
You can test it on an unlisted build as well
@Kakhikotchauri1 use discord or other site to upload your image, and copy the url from it.. and it doesn't work in comments
I.E. !This image
is: ![This image] (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/22/ca/06/22ca06d0a7b904a5a11bd5050bbce60d.png)
@Kakhikotchauri1 to post with an image, you need to type: ![image name] (url link JPG/JPEG etc) without space between the large and small parenthesis
