Dont worry, i have a solution:
Make the cannon 88mm, but increase both projectile velocity and the recoil force-(760-850%is enough) then scale up the cannon with Overload
@XxRxX larger crafts are more harder to get lock out since they have a larger area, so you need more countermeasures. And its much more easier with a smaller craft because It just have a smaller surface area aside from large planes
If you want to stabilize a barrel with a gyro, Its impossible. But if you want to use it to stabilize the turret it will work.
Using gyros to stabilize the barrel is rather wierd so can you give me a link of the thing you asked so i can understand more?

Set min and max to ur number.
If horsepower is reduced but max is high, you get an overdrive gear.
If horsepower is increased but max is low, you get 1st,2nd and so on gears
Example Overdrive: Horsepower 5 input controller max 3
Example normal: horsepower 10-50
