Thanks @Su27Ilyushin & @nwa . Just got the urge to build VTOL designs that were actually on the drawing board and wanted to share several of them before we begin our transition of SP2.
After playing a bit through the multiplayer, there are a fixed worth noting:
- Refuelling pod doesn't work. Partly this is because lag, but it would be cool to make it work.
- Chad tends to over-ride people's creations. I understand that the interaction between 2 player's objects are hard to compute with a laggy online presence, but it tends to break planes when other chads are in the plane.
- I'm happy to see magnets working well, however, again, because it's laggy the objects tend to be rather out of sync and crash into eachother frequently. (especially when players use more than 1 magnet).
Just observations. Will add more when I see more...
@PhantomBoltSP There is an element of the X-32 in it, however the inspiration is a mix of the F-32 and F-35C Naval version.
There is also some inspiration of the Rafale, Eurofighter and F-22 for the cockpit design
@AndrewGarrison I would rather you guys show some building stuff, show us some new stuff, or at least show us what you can do what SimplePlanes 1 can't
A fantastic job!!! well done!! I'm astonished that we came to a very similar concept! I feel your work came a lot more refined than mine, to which, I tap my hat off! Keep up the good work!
@Weaponsindustry For this specific build, technically, just move the missile into the body (or the body over the missile). If you're having difficulty in a separate build, @ me there and I will check it out for you.
@CaptainBrayden it was meant to be a kind of reference to the Korean Air Lines flight 007 where a pair of soviet su-15 (one of the influences of this plane) intercepted and shot down a civilian 747 thinking it was a u.s. spy plane.
@winterro If you're referring to the 3d printer, it belongs to a friend of mine and I don't really know all that much about 3d printers in general... but I will let him know...
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 My friend's printer is a Creality CR-10S Pro V2. Though to be honest it's not the best option for these kind of prints. It tends to have difficulties in small intricate details. Would recommend a resin printer
No worries. As for this post, i do agree a radar function would be awesome for a fox 2 missile or awacs setup. But I feel that simple planes won't implement it because the game is intended to be simple.
@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore Not as cute though

+1Enjoyed flying this in SP2 multiplayer! Keep up the good work!
Sent my submission. Enjoy.

@LunarEclipseSP Yes I have noticed a level of lag in multiplayer
+1This is a beautiful design! Reminds me of a proposed Mig-33 design. Keep up the good work! Hope to see this built and refined with SP2!
Awesome job as always dude!!!
+2the miggen... vig-21??
+2Reminds me a bit of the old F-19 stealth fighter toy / game!
Keep up the good work!
@blt too late mate. better luck next time!
+1Thanks though

Love the development on this model! Keep it up!!
@Liquidfox01 specifically the f-32 design (not the x-32 prototype) and the f-35C naval version.
The rafale, f-22 and eurofighter inspired the cockpit
*Sharp inhale...
I just released my plane which could have used this...

+3Good job! keep it up!
+1@crazyplaness it's a friend's printer, a Creality CR-10S Pro V2
+1@L1nus What paint do you use? I usually user acryllic or water-based acryllic. I might need to move away from them and start using sifferent paints...
@L1nus No I haven't. I'm an absolute amateur on model painting.
A fantastic job!!! well done!! I'm astonished that we came to a very similar concept! I feel your work came a lot more refined than mine, to which, I tap my hat off! Keep up the good work!
+2@SuperSuperTheSylph Exactly my thoughts! Would be interesting to make an a-6 x harrier blend!!
+1@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 thanks, I'll get to it when I get the chance later today.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 I will do it as soon as I can.
Are you intending to 3d print the interior? I personally don't do it, and I don't have the resources to do it.
@Amspro By all means! Go right ahead! Will be happy to test it out!
the right wing needs a fix, nice job though!
@Solent19 the MassScale for condensed air would be 14.26 ... surprisingly heavy...
@LowQualityRepublic urmm.....
@cyon If aluminum was the material, the MassScale would be 44.26.
@DimitriIqbal91 Would be awesome to see more people try it out! It's the closest you're gonna get to a table-top model of your very own design!
Pretty good job! Keep up the good work!

Very good job! keep it up!
+1@CaptainBrayden Will make an unlisted chat
@CaptainBrayden Sure, Got discord? You kind find me in some Simpleplanes discord servers

@SuperSuperTheSylph Feel free! @ me once it's done.
+1If you want we can even build it together.
@SuperSuperTheSylph By all means, please do so!! I'd be more than happy to give it a go!
+1@SukhoiSu25 no problem, feel free. just @ me in the comments :)
@SukhoiSu25 by all means! go ahead!
just @ me in the comments

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Not sure to be honest. A friend of mine helped me print it. I will get back to you with the name of the printer used.
+1very good take on the Convair Model 200!!
i had this vtol system in the back of my head for a while. Good job!!
Reminds me of the planes in the game "ysflight".
+1Keep up the good work :)
Looks and flies awesome! Keep it up mate!!!
+1Very interesting design! good job!
Too bad you applied for the challenge late :(
