@Cobrahuey no problem. I'm online every day, if you want to know something else, ping me anytime. As for building, of course you can build better. You're still a new user, and it's normal for your builds to be a bit simple. You can scroll down my profile to see how awful were my early works.
I must also suggest joining some Discord servers to get in touch with the community. You can find the best one, SimplePlanes Builder's Chat, in my bio.
@Cobrahuey you shouldn't make challenges yet. I'm not telling you that as a moderator, but as a guy who has made best challenge in the history of SP. To make a good challenge, you first need to have a reputation in the community. Post your own builds, reach high quality level, and thus show to people you are worthy to judge their builds. They don't want a user who knows next to nothing about complex building techniques to rate their masterpieces. Also, obtain a follower base. That comes over time if you post quality stuff. Finally, before posting a challenge, post a build that would be a good entry for the challenge, to show that you know stuff about challenge's subject. Then your challenge will get lots of top quality entries. If you post a challenge now, you'll get one or two noob entries if you're lucky.
@Cobrahuey perhaps you could use it as a base for a different Sukhoi, like Su-35. Also, you could add actual paint job, patterns, camo, roundels, warning labels, thst kind of stuff. Just moving a slider in color menu isn't enough. Also, if you want others to repaint Su-31, it must be your Su-31.
I think that a four engine modification would be fine. I don't see where you'd fit extra engines. Also, you'll be a lot more successful in the community if you build your own stuff. Best way to learn is by dissecting existing builds to see how they are made.
@Cobrahuey no worries. I always first warn before issuing strikes, as rules aren't really well-placed. They're in the "Stuff" dropdown menu. Enjoy your time with the community, and feel free to tag me if you need anything.
@Fastwaffle233 there are rules, and it is my job to enforce them. I haven't issued you a strike for either post, but when helping people, do it through unlisted builds.

Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.
Sorry, but there's not enough difference between this and the original to consider it an acceptable upload. Your post has been removed. If you are posting builds for public, be sure that it's functionally different from the original. If you're posting them for your own use, post them as unlisted.
Both this and the other one don't have enough difference from the original to be considered acceptable uploads. Please try to make major changes to a build before posting it.

@Simutsens you need to make major changes to a build before posting it. Just repainting it, or adding some weapons, or increasing engine power isn't enough, despite proper credit. I'll leave this one up because @Hedero seems to like it, but in the future please follow the rules.

@Eric43 you can post a plane unlisted. That way, only you can see it, and it's not against the rules. In the "upload" window, change the button that says "public" to "unlisted".

@Shadowknight5578 I also remove straight reposts when I see them. Feel free to report any when you find them. Given how simple stock builds are, there's a lot of modifying you can do very easily, like improving the wing gloves, changing intakes to look more like those of Su-24, giving it a better nose... You can do a lot better than this, and even better if you build a plane from scratch to your liking.

@CjrLdy since this is a memorial post (no, not naming it isn't a loophole, we all know what's the purpose of the post), I will remove it. I have allowed it to stay up for a while, but comments are getting toxic and reports are piling up.

@sheepsblood you'd need to tag me on the post in question if you want me to investigate it. Other than that, I have no idea what you're talking about.

@VerldVarIII feel free to tag me on it once it's done, if you make it. Also, a bit of feedback as I was in a hurry when I first commented here:
You should work more on performance. I'd expect a fighter like this one to roll a lot better, and not to accelerate as quickly. You can get realistic top speed and realistic acceleration by reducing drag and reducing engine power. Also, you can make far better wings with fuselage blocks, With rectangular wing shape that you have on most WWI planes, you can have perfect airfoil with only a few parts per wing.
Alternately, do not come to a game related site seeking compassion. Open a Facebook account, or, if you really insist on sharing your pain with SP community, consider visiting one of many Discord servers.
I believe it originates from some old videogame, where in one mission/cutscene you are attending a military funeral and have to press "F" to pay respect. I think player character salutes when you press "F", I'm not sure.

You need to make major change to a build, like adding a significant number of functional parts to improve the design. Changes to this one are insufficient for it to be posted.

You should have tried a custom livery. Flat sides of Sherpa are ideal for that. Other than that, very nice build.
+1I didn't issue you a strike, as I guessed you didn't do it on purpose.
@TheMitsuboshiBoi we look for major changes in successors. You seem to have only added two pylons, two bombs, and moved some sliders.
It looks very nice. Good job.
