@SgtBlack no problem. Also, try using fuselage blocks (the cylindrical ones) for making planes. You can change their shape and put fuel inside them. Also, go to the "Mod" section of the site, and find Finde tuner mod and Overload mod. They are great tools. It'll take you some experimenting to learn how to use them, but once you master them, they are irreplaceable. Download them, and click on them. That will open SimplePlans mod list, where you can enable them. Once enabled, they'll show as two new icons at the bottom of your screen in editor.
Also, welcome to the community. Read the rules here. You will gain points (the number in the white square next to your username). One "Upvote" on a plane you upload brings 15 points, and an upvote on the forum post brings 2 points. Once you reach 100 points, your point field (currently white) will turn bronze, at 1000 points silver, at 5000 gold, and black (we call it platinum) at 25000 points. To tag a person in the comment, put "@" in front of their username, or hit the "Reply" button on their comment (ex: @SgtBlack). This will send notification to the person you mentioned. I wish you a happy stay in the SimplePlanes community, and a lot of points.
Just because I like SOAD, whose line you used up there, I'll tell you a secret. Set Input (via XML) to 0.1, and power multiplier to 10 to retain the power. It will use less fuel, and accelerate faster.
@monkeynutwingnut to tag somebody in the comment, you have to put "@" in front of their username (@username). Then they will get a notification that you replied to their comment.
@Cadin how do I place the buildings, like hangar from Bandit airport? I found it under "All models", and enabled its colliders (Ctracerx2 told me how), but when I pull it onto the map, it doesn't show. It appears on the list of objects on the left, but not on the map itself.
@Cadin it would be fun, if I knew how to do all of that. I'll keep this map relatively simple, using basics. As for MP, we would need realistic damage. A machine gun blowing the tank up with a single hit wouldn't be too realistic. Also, MP, as it currently is, is good only for showing off models side-by-side. I'll try to use Blender to make buildings. Great suggestions about targets, but I don't think I could pull it off now. I'm still learning more basic stuff.
You can select "Restart here". It'll do the same thing. You are standing anyway, your plane will be respawned in a same position, but reloaded with fuel and weapons.
@Cadin I found a way to make ramps out of existing blocks (3D object cube). I'm overlapping two terrains to get both the flat part for the obstacle course and some hills for off-road. Now that I got a bit of hang on it, it's actually fun. Thanks for help. If I need more, I won't be shy to ask.
@Cadin I finally got the map to work, and started on the obstacle course. So far I have a ramp and a ditch for vehicles to demonstrate their amphibious/deep wading capabilities.
@SilentKiller no problem. Others often act as if iOS restrictions regarding codes is a common knowledge. I think it's good to explain that, instead of just saying "No", like MechWARRIOR57 did.
You can do that on Windows, OSX, and Android. Apple's policies don't allow you to dig through the code and edit stuff, or to use third party mods. If you are going to play on your laptop (Windows, I suppose), use Overload and FineTuner mods, as they allow you to make such edits without exiting the game.
@Cadin I'm not used to such a small window. When working on 2km x 2km island, having to zoom in on every detail is annoying. Also, not being able to "nudge" the part on selected axis by an increment, but having to type in its position, will take some getting used to.
Where are you from, Cadin? I don't need an address, just curious. Do you get snow there?
@Cadin winters in Serbia vary greatly. This winter was long and cold with -21*C, few years ago we only had a few weeks of sub-zero temperatures (Celsius scale). The one I'd like to see as an editor background would be the melting snow part of the winter, as it's not pure white, but gives an interesting scenery for pics.
@Cadin I use relatively small laptop, with just 18 inches screen. It provides good mobility, but small surface. It was also the only $200 laptop I could find with Intel Core i5 dual core processor and 8GB RAM. Unity screen showing what I'm making is smaller than the screen of my phone.
@Cadin I can make a map too. I can't make a ditch with water and ramps, as they need to be flat (something default terrain tools can't make). I kinda scored something with stretching cubes, but I don't know if it would work in the end. I'll try some things again tomorrow, but Unity editor itself is starting to get on my nerves. With such a small window for what I'm building, editing stuff is pretty annoying. I can barely see what I'm doing without zooming in a lot.
@Cadin thanks. If Unity keeps giving me headache, I'll keep spamming your notifications :) So, you gonna make that obstacle course? I'm a bit too drunk to translate comparisons right now.
Delete all your WIP's, go play something else for a few days, gather inspiration, and return. I say "delete WIP's", as they will bore you when you return. You'll be like "Let's finish this old build that I don't really wanna work with anymore", and the game will bore you again within minutes. If that doesn't work, I wish you luck in life outside SP.
@Cadin I'll try to make something simpler, as I am a total noob to Unity map making. Could you make an obstacle course like this? I'll keep trying until I make a map, but it'll be weeks, if not months, before I can try to make this course.
@Cadin ok, now comes the part when Unity bricks while saving the mod... It was saving it, and then stopped. Everything else worked, but Unity wouldn't even minimize. Is that normal? My laptop started to overheat, so I restarted.
Very well done @Seeras @MasterKiryu. I am not familiar with Mass Effect, but this is one good looking build.
Also, here's your first upvote. When the site refreshes, you'll have 15 points.

In a menu in the editor (top right button), select "Share Aircraft" option. Make sure you give it some attractive screen shots and a nice description.
@Baldovino yes, now I can see pics. I like the yellow/desert one more.
The exclamation mark goes in front of everything, like this:
@Deadly8Nightshade no problem m8

Optimally, 0.125. That's half of the current 0.25 offset.
You could have checked this yourself by logging off and visiting your profile.
I sent it to you on Hangouts. Also, you have 11 pages.
No problem @TheSandwich
Welcome back
@Cadin I'm saving all the time. Do a few things, save, repeat.
@Cadin ok, thanks, I'll try that. Good luck with Honda.
I'll test it in a few minutes. I love the way it looks

It looks amazing. Can't test right now, but I'll try it out if I don't forget.
@LiamW Already I already have a very bumpy terrain. I'll see about steep dips and climbs. Sounds good.
@Cadin I'm only using default weapons. Gestours mod guns cannot be set to AG, and can't be used by iOS users, so I tend to avoid them.

@EliteIndustries1 dunno how. I'm a beginner mod-maker, not Unity wizard. I will make something for landings tho.
@EliteIndustries1 for that, I would need buildings. Not many good buildings are open-source, and I sure ain't spending money on a free mod.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation it's a military testing ground for armored vehicles. Loops and such are more for those cartoonish racing games.
@DeathStalker627 no problem. Mind going to my most recent forum and suggesting something? I'm out of inspiration.
@Cadin do you know how I could get buildings from stock SP map? Also, any suggestions?
1.5x1.5m or editor units? One editor unit is 0.5m.
You can select "Restart here". It'll do the same thing. You are standing anyway, your plane will be respawned in a same position, but reloaded with fuel and weapons.

@jamesPLANESii no problem
Very nice. The best Cessna on the site, I think.
@Cadin oh, I can do that? Cool. Well, winters in general eastern Europe aren't the same as in southeast Europe. They have it even colder.
@Cadin I'm not used to such a small window. When working on 2km x 2km island, having to zoom in on every detail is annoying. Also, not being able to "nudge" the part on selected axis by an increment, but having to type in its position, will take some getting used to.

@Cadin yup. As I come from Southeast europe and like winter more than the summer, that's the environment that is closest to me.

@Cadin ok, I'll try that in the morning. It's getting late here, and beer doesn't influence map-making skills in a good way :)
@JMicah4 It was saving a map with a few stock textures and a few objects (three cubes and seven cylinders) for 10-15min before I restarted.
@Cadin ok, now comes the part when Unity bricks while saving the mod... It was saving it, and then stopped. Everything else worked, but Unity wouldn't even minimize. Is that normal? My laptop started to overheat, so I restarted.
@Cadin thanks. I'll try that
@HellFireKoder oh, thanks. One problem down many more to go...
