@Tessemi I guessed so, although I didn't get to see the comments. That's why I suggested a few decals to improve your chances. You don't have to rush it, you have 29 days.
@CRJ900Pilot I don't get a concept of a non-military trainer. It's a Cessna 172, which is a light personal aircraft. Not an actual trainer. What kind of plane would you post as a civilian trainer?
@Diver yes. To build a successor, download this, and delete everything except the cockpit. Then build from there. When you upload, it'll be a successor. That's how you submit the build to the challenge.
@Diver you download this post, delete everything but the cockpit, and build a plane. If you have already made a plane, you can download this post, delete everything, save a plane you already made as a subassembly, paste it onto the cockpit of this post, and then upload. You can also open XML file of your plane (not via Overload), and in the section that says url = "" write url = "QCDGu8". Then load the plane from your saves for it to take effect. When you post it, it'll be a successor of this post.
I had that problem a few times. It fixed itself when I tried to download another build. It never persisted. I'll leave an upvote, maybe it attracts attention of someone who knows more about this problem.
@scotttheaviator1031 why don't you install mods? As for part count, 150 parts isn't too few for a decent build. You can focus on shape and performance.
@venular what part do you get stuck on? To post a plane, in your editor (where you build), open a menu (in the top right corner), and click "share". To thag me, use the same thing I used to tag you. @ + username. In this case, @EternalDarkness. You put that in a comment. it doesn't work on the description of the post. Once you get that far, we'll keep talking on your post, so we don't spam this one. I'm expecting a lot of important comments here I need to keep track of.
@venular the easiest way would be to download this post, delete everything that isn't the cockpit, build a plane around it, and upload. If you have already made a plane, post it and tag me on it (@username), as I'll rather accept a plane that is not a successor than explain to an inexperienced user how to do one of the more complicated xml operations.
@JohnnyBoythePilot adding a custom cockpit and bringing that old trainer to your current standard would pretty much mean making a new similar plane. I'll accept that.
@Awsomur looks like you got it right XD. Look at the comment below.
@Helicopterboy lazy to put an apostrophe and put an "e" at the end? Or at least just put an "e" at the end? Man, that's not even your everyday lazy. That's some advanced lazy. I bet it takes a lot of practice.
@JohnnyBoythePilot no, it won't. Part count is low, there's no paint job, details, advanced techniques... Even if I was to accept it, it wouldn't stand a chance.
@Strikefighter04 maybe you can make a similar fictional plane whose description will say it was never a fighter? Just change it up a bit, to move focus more toward the trainer side of twin seat fighter / trainer scale.
@Strikefighter04 it might not be the best choice. It's a two-seat version of F-5 Tiger ll. Better try a plane that's been made as a trainer from scratch.

@Tessemi add a roundel or two while you are at it
@CRJ900Pilot ok
@CRJ900Pilot oh. That'll work. I have also talked to my friend, and he pointed out motor gliders are often used as civilian trainers.
@CRJ900Pilot I don't get a concept of a non-military trainer. It's a Cessna 172, which is a light personal aircraft. Not an actual trainer. What kind of plane would you post as a civilian trainer?
@CRJ900Pilot civil? In civilian aviation, usually pilots train or light civilian aircraft, not dedicated trainers.
@Diver yes. To build a successor, download this, and delete everything except the cockpit. Then build from there. When you upload, it'll be a successor. That's how you submit the build to the challenge.
@Kimcotupan15 sounds fine. Just make sure it seats two people.
@Diver if possible, yes. I'll only be accepting the bestentries that are not successors by accident.
@Diver you download this post, delete everything but the cockpit, and build a plane. @Tessemi make sure it also flies without a mod. Mod parts and features are unfair advantage over iOS users.
I had that problem a few times. It fixed itself when I tried to download another build. It never persisted. I'll leave an upvote, maybe it attracts attention of someone who knows more about this problem.
+1@grizzlitn no problem
@Tessemi what do you mean?
@Thueerra thanks
@Tessemi no mod parts please
@Tessemi why not? I've never seen a delta trainer.
@Razor3278 great
@scotttheaviator1031 why don't you install mods? As for part count, 150 parts isn't too few for a decent build. You can focus on shape and performance.
@Thueerra you can post a link in description.
Congrats. Sounds like a big achievement.
I also suggest using tags for the build (option to add them is just below the picture)
Thanks for the entry. I'll accept it, but that proof would still be nice, just to be sure.

@Helicopterboy it's "you're". See, I help with the grammar too. :)
@Helicopterboy no problem
@RailfanEthan @Helicopterboy read below, you might need it sometime.
Make burst count = 1, and give it high rate of fire (25+). "Time between bursts" is now time between single shots.
@JohnnyBoythePilot no, it won't. Part count is low, there's no paint job, details, advanced techniques... Even if I was to accept it, it wouldn't stand a chance.
@FishMiner minimum part count is a requirement on many challenges. It removes five minute builds that don't stand a chance anyway.
@Dllama4 one per category. It's stated in the post.
@CALVIN232 as in parts that'll require me to install mods, no. As in XML edited parts, they are pretty much mandatory.
@CoBros2 ok. Just mention that on the post so I don't forget.
@EpicPigsterGhost great. I was already afraid you'll miss it. Your entry is one of those I'm looking forward to.
@DestinyAviation @mikoyanster @Vuki11 can't wait to see your entries (which doesn't mean you should rush them) :)
@ACMECo1940 no. It's a personal four-seater that can be used to train pilots. Training is not its primary role.
@ACMECo1940 you have at least one build over that part count.
@SomeFox cool
@Blue0Bull great
@Strikefighter04 not for the whole month, I hope?
@Strikefighter04 maybe you can make a similar fictional plane whose description will say it was never a fighter? Just change it up a bit, to move focus more toward the trainer side of twin seat fighter / trainer scale.
@Oski most of the modern trainers double as light attack aircraft.
@Tully2001 because i have you on five different chats on which I'll post a link.
@Strikefighter04 it might not be the best choice. It's a two-seat version of F-5 Tiger ll. Better try a plane that's been made as a trainer from scratch.
