I'm noticing that if I do anything other than adjust the size, rotation, etc. of the image I choose it goes away. That forces me to click 'set view' again so it resets me to the perspective I load the image to. I'll have to get used to that.
@Kungfuevan The user Gestour used to have a mod that contained 3D models of an F-16 and F-22. I still have it, so I took the model and sized it to the real dimensions, then put it on top of my build and matched all the panels, wings, blocks, etc. as close as I could. The result is this; easily my most accurate build yet shape-wise.
Fulcrum is made of pure Stalinium, mixed with Kruschev Alloy. Engines built from pure Gorbachovium. Indestructable. Fire extinguisher unneeded Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriend. Extra Vodka welcome.
On a serious note I'm surprised Russia liked the name 'Fulcrum.'
@CovenantSlayer The XML is mostly to make the missiles behave in a more realistic manner. I DID in fact use that trick, but I also modified the XML file for the missiles to connect all of the fuselage blocks and panels to the detatcher (I trick I used from mikoyanster's video on custom missiles.) I think that's what you're referring to?
MAYBE one day I'll do an F-22A. I'm not super comfy with the lines on that jet and don't consider myself quite that skilled yet. One day.
@ChiChiWerx I found a doc page from a couple SP mod makers that listed out all the various XML bits that one can use. I actually was fine using the stock missiles as they are but I found some custom missiles by another user and decided to try my hand at it finally.
One of the XML 'commands' you can use for missiles is function, which is what defines the missile types as A2A or A2A. I guess manually typing which you want overrides their original state.
Using the Infernos for the base of the sidewinders was for one reason only; I want to be able to use multiple missiles. I've mapped out in my head:
Guardians for Semi-Active homing
Inferno for IR guided/All Aspect
Interceptor for fire-and-forget, so no change there.
Rocket pods don't use the XML commands for missiles; the doc explicitly shows such. Link here:
@AceOfSpade I mean I'd love to do AC stuff. I've been messing around with a Morgan-esque thing. I'll have to think about the Nosferatu, but maybe the Wyvern will get a chance to shine.
@Shippy456 I use a Dell Laptop w/ Core i3 (other specs I don't remember and I'm too lazy to look them up lel). I certainly can download and use high part builds but my computer slows to a crawl and may even crash entirely. I just avoid big builds these days; if I had a decent desktop I'd have no issues at all with doing higher part counts.
@Shippy456 I usually forgo high-detail and just use the minimum of pieces to get an accurate general outline (oxymoronic, thinking about it). My computer also can't run high part count builds. I'm guessing around 300-400 parts is starting to push it, but I haven't tested that yet.
In general if I can get away with using a fairly large piece for a section of the build, I will. I'll also mess with the size of the ends and their corner types.
I decided to give the build a gunpod and the 600gal centerline drop tank Phantoms carried. The drop tank is on the right floating in space. The gunpod is already attached.
@OhMerde
I just do it by feel. I dump the nose down for maybe half a second (probably -30 degree or slightly less), then brake and yank back until it starts to slide. Not exactly how you really do it as far as I know, but that's worked fine for me.
@Viper3000ad I work with a laptop, so I can't run high part count models or even decent graphics settings. I sort of have to keep these things below 200 parts for my own PC's sake. Thank you; had fun making the Flanker.
-Haven't tried making a Heli yet, but I'm happy to have true rotor components.
-New USS Beast is awesome and works great. Maybe USS Tiny can get Arrestor cables sometime in the future?
-New Transform UI is nice for sure, but I immediately missed being able to hold down the arrow for nudge and letting the part move smoothly until I let go. Having to rapid-fire clicks to move the part a significant distance is annoying (I'm not the biggest fan of just typing the number in and trial-error it)
-Crappy laptop still runs game slowly with moderate graphic settings. Not the game's fault; my computer straight sucks.

+1@Datboi1234 Yeah :/ Sorry about that.
I think the updated model linked in the description might be a little better.
Very nice. Better than my MiG-29 X) I like the ejection function.
I see you also used my MiG-29. :) Very cool; I'll mess around with this and see what I can do with it.
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Thank you :)
THIS is the mod I've wanted for so long!
@typeZERO If you watch the video on YouTube I think the song is in the description
t H e Y D o N ' T s U s p E c T A t H I n G
@SovietBias Nah, that's just the Advanced Targeting Mod. Helps make aiming the guns and bombs easier.
@SakuraSaku They took it down. Dunno when.
@Kungfuevan Maybe. It'll definitely challenge me with my skill level, but I'm open. The TVC will the most fun part. ;)

@Strikefighter04 I'd say F/A-18s and F-16s also. The stock Wasp build IS an F-18 pretty much.
Honestly I should have spent a bit more time on this before posting it. X)
+1@belugasub What schooling you do? High school, college, etc.
I'm majoring in Mechanical Engineering right now.

@MOPCKOEDNISHE Aww, it's my Su-27. I'm flattered, man :3
+1@ChiChiWerx Ouch :/
Kinda reminds of the Super Sabre I rebuilt recently. :) Been thinking of entering that contest, but I'm not sure what I wanna enter.
@AceOfSpade Sure, sure :)

@Chancey21 Ah. Was justing to be artsy with the angles. Shouldn't be that poorly lit though.
@Chancey21
Not sure I get the question

+1@Aeromen
I wouldn't call it 'perfect,' but it's good enough. Thank you for the compliment anyways :)
Link to updated model added to description. Have a good day. :)
@BrendenDaPrince :3
@ChiChiWerx Yeah, I need to start doing that. I've got the F-14 waiting to be built and the -16 and -15 to rebuild. Maybe for those.

Thank you for the upvotes. I'm glad my builds, despite their simplicity, have some quality that people are enjoying.
Have a smiley face :)

Thank you, lel
Wow...I cannot believe this build blew up so much. :l
Thank you all that downloaded, up-voted, and even spotlighted this.
@TheoptimisticsEHD
Thank you
@RedRoosterII Highly capable for sure. In a way the Flanker and Fulcrum led to the F-22A.
+1@CCCP Why yes...yes I am.

Thanks for the upvotes. MOPCKOEDNISHE thanks for the spotlight.
+1@Gestour @randomusername Thank you. :)

I have the Fine Tuner mod activated for me. Is that allowed, or does it go under mods I can't use?
@Davisplanez :) thanks
@ChiChiWerx He did better than I did x)
The one that started it all.
@EpicPigster1 Thank you
