@Evenstsrike333 Thanks. Wanted to try building a model that wasn't so widely known, but this was also a jab at improving on my original MiG-29A build using the designersuite mod
@NANOMAN Y'know what, you're right. I got that wrong on the old Su-27 as well. :/
.
Ah well, I'll deal with the inaccuracy since the aileron still follows a panel line, and I can't get custom control surfaces (aside from tailerons) to have enough effect on maneuvering.
Ah, the fighter most feared by U.S. pilots in the conflict. I have an earlier variant of the same jet (the F-13) in my collection, but this looks great.
.
Nice to see it in the markings of my people too :)
@Kevon87 I've secretly had a running theme I called "Project:Nam" (cliche I know) where I've been building jets from that conflict. I'll probably get back to it at some point, but I DO have an A-4E planned and an A-1H.
@Zanedavid I was surprised how good it looked, to be honest. It's probably not an actual pallet used by the Russians, but it suits the new build well; it's more like US Aggressor schemes
@Tang0five This upgrade to the original Su-27 was long coming; even back then I wasn't happy that I couldn't get the proportions just right. I am absolutely happy with this incarnation, and hopefully it'll restart my interest to build other offshoots of the Flanker
Just got done flying it around and doing a dogfighting test versus my own Su-27.
.
Your build looks great, but performance wise I have to be as gentle as possible in the pitch. Even mildly intense pitch control below around 350-400mi/hr causes me to enter spins, which I think hurts the overall agility. This makes dogfighting a tricky prospect.
.
Also it...kinda like to blow up when firing missiles at certain AoA. Not sure why that is.
.
Still it's a nice build :)
@BlackhattAircraft SO FUNNY THING...This jet was actually started first, but then I got stuck on how to get the landing gear to look right and stopped.
.
After being bored staring at it's unfinished behind I switched to the F-8 and here we are. :) Now both jets are up
@Evenstsrike333 It's on the to-do list somewhere. I already want to make one because I had a previous F-15 and...ugh, I can't look at that one anymore. X)
@LockheedLover @AerialFighterSnakes Aww jeez...maybe tone down the praise a little bit; I'm not a great builder by any means, I just do the best I can and add the features I feel need to be there. I always want to improve.
.
@LockheedLover To answer you specifically, I did build a Harrier II for one user, but generally I'll just add it to the "list" so to speak. I've gotten requests for AC builds and a Super Hornet before.
@Leehopard Happens with my A-6E too; flaperon roll control when flaps down is baically useless. Thankfully the A-6 has spoilerons that somewhat help, but I still can't figure out how to get custom ailerons to be as responaive as normal ones.
@ChiChiWerx I've always had the trim like that. I do have to admit that SP physics and the game engine aren't kind to this guy. The A-6E had the same problem when I deployed flaps.
.
@JohnnyBoythePilot Hmm, I'll check that out.
@FranzPeterSiegfried Most parts I've needed for a build was the F-4B at 400 parts flat. I'm proud to say I've been able to get away with decently low part counts on my replicas
@XthehungrymigetX Not sure where it got that bias. I probably could have done some mirroring work to make it disappear, but I'm willing to deal with the roll. Glad you like it though.

+1@Diloph Ugh, am very disappointed I couldn't get it to Cobra.
.
I'm okay with general turning performance though.
Dang this thing is about to hit 4,000 downloads...crazy.

@Evenstsrike333 Thankies :)

Yo, this looks great! :)
Holy crap dude xD
@Zanedavid I was surprised how good it looked, to be honest. It's probably not an actual pallet used by the Russians, but it suits the new build well; it's more like US Aggressor schemes
Oh! @Kungfuevan Here's the new Flanker-B model.
@N1KO I don't think my crappy laptop could handle it x)
.
Maybe I could pay more attention to external bits and bumps at least.
@BenSkyWalker It's a cool build, and works as advertized. :) No problem
@Tang0five This upgrade to the original Su-27 was long coming; even back then I wasn't happy that I couldn't get the proportions just right. I am absolutely happy with this incarnation, and hopefully it'll restart my interest to build other offshoots of the Flanker
@CoolPeach I'm playing Strikers Fighters 2 a lot after rediscovering it, and yeah...the -7D's are the worst ones. That's more what I'm getting at. <:3
Yeah there's no way my laptop will run either version of this lol R.I.P.
+1.
Beautiful. Trailer for this thing was awesome.
.
AIM-7D's THO...
Just got done flying it around and doing a dogfighting test versus my own Su-27.

@AerialFighterSnakes Maybe. I'll have to pick a model, but a Reisen is in the future...somewhere.
+1@methirasoysa123 :)
@vcharng Hayabusa is the just the Japanese name for it. No different than how we called the F4U 'Corsair' or something along those lines.
@AerialFighterSnakes Short Little Ugly Fellow :)
@BlackhattAircraft SO FUNNY THING...This jet was actually started first, but then I got stuck on how to get the landing gear to look right and stopped.

@Thelegitpilot13 laughing-cries in every replica I've ever made
+1@LockheedLover OOOoooooo, I'd love to make a bomber! Just...gotta figure out the bomb bay X)
@LockheedLover Okie
.
Did you have a request, by chance?
@inocone The physics and overall game engine don't lend themselves well to replicas, but darnit this is a great Hayabusa. Nice work. :)
+1@BlackhattAircraft So about that A-7 you mentioned...
@LockheedLover @AerialFighterSnakes Aww jeez...maybe tone down the praise a little bit; I'm not a great builder by any means, I just do the best I can and add the features I feel need to be there. I always want to improve.

@BlackhattAircraft Funny you say that...

@JohnnyBoythePilot This. THE classic phrase that even got a patch made out of it
+1@ChiChiWerx Indeed.
@Kungfuevan A-4E is on my list, and I have a drawing for it. Just gotta wait for the next thing to be done
+1@HawkerAviation Aww thanks. I have far too many projects on the brain and it's killing my productivity x)
@Kungfuevan I'm gonna redo the Su-27 first with Designersuite, then do the Su-30MKI. So it'll be a while
@HighOnSP Have an upvote too :)
Could you explain the weapon requirement, because I'm getting confused if you mean stock SP weapons or stuff that was supplied with this post
@Datboi1234 4 Also had it. However that was the -5E Tiger II, so slightly different. This is the original -5A 'Freedom Fighter.'
.
But I get ye
@DemXu Sure.
@XthehungrymigetX Not sure where it got that bias. I probably could have done some mirroring work to make it disappear, but I'm willing to deal with the roll. Glad you like it though.
@emilydyer455 I do have a Hornet planned, but it's a two-seat legacy Hornet. Maybe I can do a Super Hornet, but no promises.
Way better than my F1.
+1@Roswell @Bife @Kungfuevan Thank you
@yoshicraze Yeah, go ahead. Just give proper credit.
+1@0644701018 Not an 4E; this lacks the longer nose and gun ;)
@Shippy456 Kind words of you. Thanks
@AnoniMosu It was called 'The Flying Drumstick' for a reason.
