It is very difficult to update without creating problems due to spaghetti code
I believe there will be a sequel, or SR2 will replace it anyway. Most likely the second, sadly.
why end season 0 now? No one asked to end beyond mods, plus it's 1941 still.
There are still a lot of people making creations because of season 0, and now everyone will have to stop because the mods got bored with it
One thing I've learned is that it's not easy to integrate a mod into a game. Fine Tuner and overload don't add anything complex to the game, and they were integrated out of necessity and not by suggestions but from iOS players.
A Campaign would be interesting, but I don't know how this would be implemented.
A cannon firing bush planes would be more of a lag, stress and bug machine than a feature. Cannons firing rockets is just adding more models for bullets besides slugs and spheres (and maybe change the shooting physics a bit)
There's also not much else to add to this game that isn't unfeasible or copying from FlyOut. I believe SimplePlanes is getting too old, and SimplePlanes2 is in development.

Here I will define the generations:
Gen1: Practically the same technology as propeller planes, but with jet engines. not much difference
Gen2: Supersonic flight is already completely mastered, already being in full service, but with not so advanced electronics.
Gen3: A Electronics are already much more advanced, maneuverability is increasing, and carrying capacity is very high.
Gen4: Post-stall maneuvers, a little more stealth and with several improvements in electronics, with combat beyond visual range being possible.
Gen5: Gen4 but much more stealth
I don't know where you got the F-104 being third generation, as there is nothing that defines a Gen3 plane in it.
If (x) gains more players, it doesn't mean that (y) loses.
And SP should focus on being different and original, not stealing from FlyOut (even though I would love to see that cross-section editor in SP).
Its landing gear design is extremely similar to the stock in the game, why don't you use it? Unnecessary complexity doesn't make you better at the game.
