@XxRxX although yes, in my opinion comments matter more than upvotes/spotlights, and honestly the entire points system doesn’t matter at all.
Idk, maybe I’m just insecure and hence get happiness from upvotes, but it still is nice to see that people support you as you discover new boundaries and break your own records as you build.

@BluestBoi even 10k players need a boost sometimes. Besides, you may already follow these players being spotlighted, but most other followers don’t follow these players and without the spotlight, they wouldn’t know these players even existed.
Think about it from others’ viewpoints, their situations are different from yours and other people may benefit from these spotlights.

@T8flight if you want to support or encourage them just leave a positive feedback / comment on thier builds
I sometimes check newest uploaded builds and do this
I believe it's far more helpful

@XxRxX no because then lower level players with crappy builds would think that no one is seeing their planes, then stop uploading.

Happiness must come from one's achievements, overcoming obstacles (here basically being how good you can build) not others random opinions

This obviously is turning into a rant but i have to point out the fact that mass upvoting based on encouragement rather than actual build value be it in complexity, overall beauty or cleverness has turned up votes meaningless as they clearly don't represent anything solid
This clearly has already confused some as they from (time to time) mention this in forum that they are not satisfied with the voting system

This part is my personal opinion on the matter :
Upvote must be only awarded by people that are already high in ranks and must judge builds based on static traits that represent total value of the build
