@Phim Very nice!! I'm hesitating to release my first submission for the RP because I didn't build her for an authentic look but for max performance... :/ I could go the other route but it would nearly double the dry weight...

  • M3 Full-Truck 9.1 years ago

@MisterMasada Although this M3 might not have turned out how you envisioned it, I think it looks pretty darn good! I took your' 6x6 simplified chassis and made it my own through various alterations. The horsepower is a little high for WW2 truck standards. Sisa trucks built in the mid-30s only had a 70-odd HP engine in them. I have no idea about armored cars and the like though. (I only know that figure above since I'm building spurious Sisa (Finnish) military vehicles for @General360 's RP setting. lol) You might like your' vehicles' looks better if you could dress up the interior a bit more or in the alternative - just close it up so that the cab's interior isn't visible. (I use the latter approach to keep part numbers a little lower.) As for visibility, I usually drive in orbit mode to watch out for crazy kamikaze planes. lol

Reminds me a bit of the Savoia-Marchetti S.55 & S.66, I think it was. Romania still had a few S.55s in their air force as late as '43. The Regia Aeronautica used S.66s for Search & Rescue but their S.55s were no longer serviceable and were kept in reserve.

  • Cougar H 4x4 MRAP 9.1 years ago

@Myobia Through neglect of education and omitting key information from the history and forbidding new events from appearing in media they inspire ignorance. I know exactly what you mean. I see them every day - people who have ceased all thought and just drone through their lives, content that their little world begins and ends with their' social relationships, their salary, their 30 year mortgage, their 2.5 children, their hybrid cars and their cell phone with their 1,001 selfies and pictures of things you couldn't care less about. My family and I have coined a particular word for those individuals who never stop to contemplate the situation beyond their own "little world," and that word is "cattle."

In the words of Socrates - "The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance." In my opinion it is a crime that American citizens do not know how much the US has done beyond our borders that has fostered the hatred of the peoples' of numerous countries. It is also a crime that American citizens accept the information that is spoon fed to us via media. "THIS crime was committed with a gun! Guns are bad! We must forbid people from owning large capacity clips oh - guns too!" The blissfully ignorant cattle simply nod their heads in agreement - not realizing that they have just snipped a piece right out of "The Right to Bear Arms." (Nevermind their ridiculous arguments as to why that right is outdated. It was not a right given by the founding fathers to kill racoons going after their chickens, nor was it given to defend against bandits or indians on the frontier. It was given to us, explicitly, for if after the passage of time we found ourselves oppressed by another corrupt government regime. Now, here we find ourselves. However "cattle" are just too content to care; For now.

  • Cougar H 4x4 MRAP 9.1 years ago

@Myobia Thanks for the commendation on my previous post. I'm not sure I can agree that America's government, media and market is entirely run by terrorists. However I will confess that there IS fear of the federal and state governments within the United States of America. It is rapidly growing into a police state. Our media is censored, live broadcasts receive a mandatory seven second delay to aid in that endeavor and media coverage of worldwide situations are often omitted from the mainstream media sources - especially if it paints the country in a bad light. We hear comparatively little about US involvement in Syria, Afghanistan and the build up of forces outside the borders of the Ukraine. This past year Operation Jade Helm had the entire country on pins and needles - anticipating a declaration of martial law or worse. Rumors led to other rumors, some indicating that Russian warships were in the Gulf of Mexico anticipating a Texan declaration of independence others rumored that UN units were positioned at points in Canada and one or more states to monitor the operation. (I cannot confirm whether either rumor was true.) However, private citizens shadowed military maneuvers over much of the country and were prepared to act if it was deemed necessary. Presently, Trump sounds like he might make it to office. Frankly, he frightens many, but his radical views and outlandish behavior suggests a fundamental shift in governance. Whether it will be for better or worse, remains to be seen, though his hard-line against allowing Muslims to enter the country seems to trample on the Bill of Rights - but his viewpoint of illegal immigrants and actions taken to rectify the matter may be necessary for the common citizen to be assured a place of work. (Provided that Trump does not make it even easier for industry to move their production overseas.)

As for the War on Drugs, I never considered when it began, but it does make sense that it was Nixon's brain child to cripple the naysayers regarding our presence in Vietnam - which I confess - I do not think we had any business being there in the first place. It was France's mess and as such they should have cleaned it up or stepped down entirely. However I think the war on drugs now has two objectives now. First, to cripple the income of SOME Fundamental Islamic nations in which opium is their primary cash crop. Secondly, I believe it is an outdated measure of keeping the FDA as large and powerful as it is. Were drugs legalized, licensed for distribution and taxed it could increase the US Budget by leaps and bounds - with the added bonus of creating a "safe" and untampered with supply of product AND crippling the primary means of income for organized crime. (Naturally there should be some sort of stipulation in which a user cannot use state or federal medical program funds to treat any of the side effects or overdose.)
As far as living in a nation of ignorance and propaganda I have nothing to counter that with. Our rights have slowly been stripped away from us and explained away as a measure to improve security and safety within our country. Going back to ignorance, the United States as of 2010, ranked 54th in Educational Expenditures in terms of percentage of the GDP dedicated to it; Tied with Belize. As of January 2015 the United States ranked 14th in Education, ranked just above Russia and just below Australia.

@Anshrew When US Airmen or RAF Airmen for that matter, joined their respective air forces, were they not signing up knowing full well that they may die in their fight against the Nazi or Imperial Japanese regime? Did they not kill hundreds, if not thousands? What about those men on Enola Gay or Bock's Car, flying solo flights, stripped of defensive armaments, into a nation's airspace that had active fighter units that could have intercepted them? Were they not willing to die for their cause? The crew of Enola Gay had the blood of 90-146 thousand people on their hands after the initial destruction, not counting those who died years later as a result of the complications that followed their' exposure to radiation; MOST of which were innocent civilians. Afterwards Truman called for Japan's surrender and threatened a rain of death the likes of which this world had never seen. When they failed to surrender the next attack was carried out. Nagasaki, which was struck by Bock's Car, killed between 39-80 thousand again not counting those who died in the years that followed. In Hiroshima there was a garrison of 30 thousand troops while Nagasaki had a mere 9 thousand. You can attempt to excuse their deaths by saying it was done during the course of war between two nations. However, those civilians had NO warning the way they would have had if large formation of B-29s had approached those cities. Is this not also terrorism?

@KurtTank This is an AMAZING replica, though the original Kurt Tank had nothing to do with the Schwalbe, you certainly did her justice here! The airspeed's a little under the real deal but even still she's a beaute and a stable aircraft. I didn't run into trouble with the guns but I wasn't actively maneuvering while firing them either. Did you XML mod them up to the accurate stats for the MK 108s 30 mm cannons?

@TheOwlAce Don't take that as there being something wrong with it, it was great the way it was - I just wanted to see how flaps would improve its landing/take-off characteristics. I've been retrofitting some of my other work with them too I just haven't posted them.

  • DragA-8A Carnivore Attack Aircraft 9.1 years ago

@Pilotmario We fully understand the PAF's feelings towards the original prototype. We at DragonAerotech were concerned by the shortcomings of the first prototype with T3000s would barely reach the range requirements with drop tanks and the Type 5 propellers in place. Thus we sought to turn to the paired T1000s with Type 5 propellers and the airbreaks requested which produced higher performance, lighter weight, a heavier gun and opened additional space for disposable ordinance. We acknowledge however that maintenance of the revised engines may prove problematic in the field however as it requires removal of the airbreak assemblies to reach the paired engines. Additionally the contra-rotating propeller hub assembly is perhaps prohibitively complex for field repairs. Finally the high performance of the latter prototype proved problematic on landing due to the lack of flaps. DragonAerotech will be prepared to offer tooling and equipment for the production of the DragA-8 Carnivore to the Bandit Industrial Group and will provide advisory assistance in the conversion of the type to the two seat variant desired by the PAF by the end of the second quarter of this year. We at DragonAerotech thank you for your' business and look forward to your' accomplishments on the field of battle. ^_^

  • Ho-230-B-2 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce I gave her a go-round from South Airport and really liked what I saw! I managed to slug the USS Beast on two consecutive flights by flying low and fast and using the crosshair/blade sight to send a Boom-25 in through the side of her hull. I decided to play with the design a little though. I gave her the new flaps, inboard of the ailerons, and switched the dorsal gun position to trim. (I had to get rid of the elevator trim though.) With the flaps she takes off nice and smooth at a lower speed and her landing speed is a bit less too.

  • Upcoming plans. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce I'd say since von Braun would be a Germanian citizen of the noble caste you should start working on higher tech missiles (Inferno & Interceptor) and so-called rocket propelled or just rocket assisted aircraft. (Modded engines, limited fuel, etc.) The afterburning engine shouldn't be too much further away for Germania - maybe start thinking up bigger fighters? Dive Bombers lost their importance in WW2 due to the 109's limited range to escort them yet still played important roles during Pearl Harbor, Midway, Coral Sea, etc. - so I could see the dive bomber maybe still having a role in that era; Although if you "invent" the Inferno the point behind dive bombers may be obsolescent.

  • DragA-8A Carnivore Attack Aircraft 9.1 years ago

@Pilotmario lol That was to be the DragA-8B, which was soon to follow, but still cool to have one of my designs integrated into your' story line! ^_^

  • DragA-8A Carnivore Attack Aircraft 9.1 years ago

@Pilotmario If your' government prefers the original DragA-8 over the DragA-8A - of course we can arrange a licensing agreement. ^_^ (BTW, that's DragA-8 like MiG-28 - just a coincidence that the A for Aerotech stands for Attack by the American system. ;) )

  • Cougar H 4x4 MRAP 9.1 years ago

@Anshrew I am as much a patriot as the next American but I have to reject your' viewpoint as it is a generalization and stereotype. Firstly, a life is a life - there is no question in that matter regardless of morals, ethics, beliefs and actions of the individual. To point at a group of people and say that they are unworthy of life and no longer are human in your' eyes is to debase the fundamentals of civilization as a whole. Were your' view the same as government policy think carefully of what country in history that would resemble. I guarantee it would be an ugly picture - just as shown in the history books. Killing a human being, regardless of their beliefs, should never be something casual or routine. One's hands should tremble, anxiety should grip one's heart and years after one's nights should be plagued with nightmares - for you have committed an unnatural act; The termination of the life of another human being. It would be of some solace if you knew, with 100% certainty that your' actions would inevitably save the lives of many, but there is no way to know that for certain unless you actively catch the individual IN the act.

Currently the world considers every guerilla, non-uniformed/non-government backed organization to be terrorists. Let's look back at history again, shall we? What were the founding fathers of the United States of America? They initially begain as a guerilla, non-uniformed/non-government backed organization but we called them patriots. Now lets look at "terrorists" in the middle-east. The United States of America attacked Afghanistan with the apparent intent of apprehending Osama bin Laden. Then attacked Iraq, allegedly, out of fear that they would supply WMDs to terrorists - and yet found they possessed none. In the aftermath what did the US do? We established puppet governments in both countries. We have thrown our weight around the Middle East for decades though, aided despot rulers to rise to power and supported unpopular governments. In that environment - what would you do if protest or public assembly to discuss your' views regarding government reform were illegal? If you still considered yourself an American in that setting - the answer would be simple. Rebellion. By that standard - you've just become a terrorist in the world's current view. According to your' former statement then, killing you should not weigh on our consciousness one iota as you would then no longer have any morals or ethics - because you decided to act against the establishments in place. Do not be so quick to judge and deal out death; Can you give it back after you have taken it, Anshrew?

  • FW-KM-BB-5 (detailed) 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce I also like the step ladders you added, that's a nice touch too. Though were I a crewman on an airship flying at 325-375 mph I'd tell my captain to stick it if he told me to climb up to one of the rangefinder positions!! XD

Yeah the new Trim option has been GREAT! (Dunno if it was because I suggested it, but that was one of the suggestions I gave was that they give a second bar on the opposite side of the screen that can allow for two different sets of movements without having to swap back and forth with AGs. Turrets now for example, like on our tanks, we can rotate the turret and elevate the gun at the same time. Oh, and I checked on how bad the drag is on the Karjala ... lol 75915! That's without the railings and several other finishing touches though... >.<

  • FW-KM-BB-5 (detailed) 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce Nice work! You even gave me an idea on how to solve a matter I've been pondering over, namely, railings. In my case I'll be using structural panels vs structural wings since structural wings cause the game engine to try to interpret how that effects flight dynamics in terms of more than just drag. I don't remember off hand what the Karjala's drag is but I'm sure its considerably higher than the 53925 of this ship. I noticed you didn't give her class-type on this variant. Have you opted to get rid of class-types for airships? For example, Karjala-Class, Kaiser-Class, etc.?

  • Cougar H 4x4 MRAP 9.1 years ago

@Myobia GREAT work on this vehicle!! :D

  • Cougar H 4x4 MRAP 9.1 years ago

@USA2001 Really, the day before 9/11 .. sheesh .. hard to believe your' generation is already a presence on the 'net. It makes me feel that much older! I still remember that day with vivid clarity. The phone call from my mother telling me that a plane crashed into the WTC and in my sleep addled mind thinking it was a tragic accident but going back to sleep. Then she called back to say a second plane had crashed - and from there watching the news throughout the day. The real irony is that she had cancelled a flight to Houston scheduled for 9/11 to Houston TX - and then died 11 years later, on 9/12/12, the day that Independence Tower was opened and declared "A day of new beginnings," on the morning news; Such a bitter phrase when faced with such a reality.

@TheOwlAce I haven't tried it yet, I just got off of the phone with my father. He's still in the hospital.

@TheOwlAce Oh! You should mention that in the description, thats quite useful!

  • Fw-668-G-3 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce I've been wondering this since the outset but - what are the protuberances at the side of the fuselage under and ahead of the cockpits?

  • New strategic bomber, final decision. 9.1 years ago

Glad that you made this decision @TheOwlAce, be careful with the Horton. Use of the elevator and ailerons at the same time sent me cartwheeling not five minutes ago and so I started jettisoning bombs. After the third batch flung out I finally blew up on the fourth and it crashed my game. lol

  • Fw-668-G-3 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce Ahh so for nostalgia's sake! I haven't been playing SimplePlanes nearly as long so it just jumps out at me. However I can understand doing something the same way for the sake of nostalgia! ^_^

  • Fw-KM-BB-5 Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce AG8 is always active at startup for some reason, but it can be turned off and on just like the others. That's why I said to link defensive guns to AG8 - but turn it off before takeoff.

  • Fw-668-G-3 9.1 years ago

I've always liked the lines of this bomber but I'm curious as to why you still use multiple cockpits on the front when you can use a single small canopy and drop a slim nose cone down over it to give it a sleek looking wide windscreen without effecting visibility from the cockpit? I also learned from that nifty new B-17G that popped up recently, I think from TheMasterSoldier, that you can nudge bombs into the fuselage and drop them without pylons and activation groups - they just slip out of the fuselage when you push the button to fire weapon. I was in the process of putting together a demonstrator but then midway through noticed that your' bombs had activation groups on them as well as their pylons. Oh yeah, GREAT work on the new defensive armaments! The only thing I might say to improve it would be a nose gun fitted to a hinge too since approaching the bomber from any ventral or dorsal vectors in just about any position still leaves her vulnerable. Might want to do the same with the stinger gun and add a new gun to cover the tail from the ventral gondola. Even if you don't, still, great improvements - I like this bomber! :D

  • Fw-KM-BB-5 Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce Were she interested in building, she'd be your' follower already. lol She was anticipating something like a sailing ship but I called her in once I'd gotten the Kaisier class in the air and stable. She was dumbfounded though to see a somewhat modern looking warship ... flying! However, as someone who stopped one step shy of enlisting as a Navy nurse and being proud that her father served on the U.S.S. King during Vietnam - she loved it!

As for me I was VERY surprised. I did not expect her to take to the air as easily as she did or for her to be as stable as she was. Speed was another surprise being in the 325~375 mph range.

I intentionally underpowered the Karjala-Class Corvette Patrol & Commerce Raiding Vessel to try to come up with a more or less realistic surface warship speed thus seeing this lady hurtling through the air at these speeds was quite interesting!

I also liked your' touch in design work for details. Those little puffer jets do make nice portholes, don't they? Since the Karjala is VTOL jet powered I couldn't use those for detail work and instead have to rely on nudging and adding an XML altered windows that are slightly smaller than the porthole mounting.

I was also surprised at your' choice of projectiles for the main turrets. Someone posted scaled down bombs situated with the detachers at the backside of them (I have no idea how they did it) however by putting the warhead in place with it's mounting fuselage piece you can just nudge the barrel assembly over the warhead and voila instant explosive cannon shell. Currently the Karjala has a barrel assembly I borrowed from Saruman's Tiger Tank, since it already had a warhead that could be fired, but with the new warheads I think I'll eventually make new barrels, preferably with Boom-25s this time. (Save the Boom-50s for larger guns.)

Overall I liked the design though it felt like it was missing something without one or more stacks! Oh, and another thing, I liked how you included the flag colors on the superstructure. The Karjala did that too but on the stack.

One suggestion for refitting or maybe future builds - I noticed you used wing parts for details. I recommend using structural panels in place of those as the game engine tries to interpret how the wing surface effects performance. Another idea is to switch the engine controls over to trim so you don't have to turn them off to operate the turrets via VTOL. Finally, I noticed that you don't use CG 8 and the Kaisier Class i

  • Fw-KM-BB-5 Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce lol Of course its fantasy, neither one of us are professional aeronautical engineers, nor am I a history professor without an imagination. I just get this block from time to time where I try to make things as realistic as possible - especially where war and politics are concerned. Soo many countries in history have invested vast amounts of money on utterly useless military equipment because it looks good on paper that I couldn't help but draw a parallel. However, I was talking to the Mrs about the airships and she scolded me for being a realist and so I apologize. XD She also wants to see me try out your' airships. (She is a bigger fan of Final Fantasy than I've ever been!)

  • Fw-KM-BB-5 Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce lol At 108 ton displacement it is heavily armored? The S 38-Class Schnellboot displaced 112 ton, when fully loaded and those torpedo boats were slightly less than half the length of your' "Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship," and could only employ up to 4 torpedoes and two 20 mm cannons in open mounts. Its armor? A mohogany hull supported by a framework of light alloys - its deckhouse however had 10-12 mm of steel armor! :D (Which, by the way, a .50 cal BMG round can penetrate at 600 meters, or 0.37 miles. What could a Guardian do to it then~?)

Now lets look at real airships, the USS Akron for example. Her deadweight was 121 ton when empty but when loaded with 95% of its capacity of Helium it had a useful load lift rate of 80 additional ton. Her armament? 8 .30 cal machine-guns, no armor to speak of, but could carry up to 5 light fighters. Her rigid frame gave her an overall length of 785 feet. Both airships of this class were destroyed in storms. This is just a wild guess, but I'm of the the belief that putting large scale guns on airships could be a VERY bad thing as a result of recoil forces. XD So, go get 'em tiger! lol I'll stick with my surface warships, thanks!

  • Fw-KM-BB-5 Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship. 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce To be perfectly honest, I've never downloaded one of them. As a fan of Final Fantasy, of course, seeing an airship laid out like a warship is pretty neat. In terms of practicality though I can't imagine them being very efficient. Especially when a single Guardian from a slow moving fighter five miles out can take down an entire airship that likely took months and critical war resources/funds as well as the entire crew to a fiery death. The fighter has a chance to outmaneuver any missiles fired in response - not so for a lumbering giant like this. One of the projects I had started before the war ended was the first of a line of surface warships, armed well enough to most likely destroy incoming missiles. While I always called it a Corvette it was actually going to be a commerce raider. Next was to be a frigate or cruiser, then a battleship and finally a carrier. I put the corvette on the back burner since it sorta lost its purpose and don't know if I'll build the others.

  • SILK-234 Sinitaivus Linna (Sky Castle) Heavy Strategic Bomber 9.1 years ago

@TheOwlAce I went to sleep after my post got cut off and so didn't try to add in the data that was missing. In summary though what I wanted to illustrate was that the Luftwaffe and Luftstreitkräfte were two very different air arms. The Luftwaffe was a monstrosity created by the adversity laid down by the armistice, the various persons that rode into power on Hitler's coat-tails and through sheer experience - the Spanish Civil War, the Invasion of Poland, the Invasion of the Lowland Countries, the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. This created a core of highly disciplined, skilled and experienced combat pilots in their various fields. They were hampered by their superiors due to their obsession/inflexibility when it came to battle tactics and as a result - the equipment provided to the front lines. (Small example being the He-177 Grief - the only truly heavy bomber to enter service with the Luftwaffe being hampered by unrealistic expectations for the power plants (causing numerous losses to in-flight fires) and the ludicrosity of them being reinforced and equipped to employ dive bomber tactics!

The Luftstreitkräfte I imagined for Germania though was still a battle hardened force from their experience during the Mediterranean War, described in one of my prior posts and more recently in their conflict in the Pacific against Imperial Japan. In terms of equipment I equate the Mediterranean War to the Spanish Civil War/World War II rolled into one due to its sheer scope and scale. I would have imagined that Germania would maintain a fleet of fighters, observation bombers, medium bombers, some strategic bombers and attack aircraft. The fighters could be broken down into fast point-defense aircraft that were intended to be used in a defensive role with limited flight time, tactical fighters with a slightly longer range and escort fighters OR heavy fighters. Meanwhile the Marine-Fliegerabteilung (Naval aviation branch) would maintain observation bombers, long range reconnaissance bombers and/or seaplanes, fighters (float or otherwise,) and finally your' airships.

I also thought you might have been referring to the aspect that Das Germanishe Weltreich (or Kaiserreich, if you prefer.) would not be caught unaware of Suomi's true capabilities - such as the SILK-234 here. I figured that they would likely be keeping their eyes on more immediate potential enemies such as Imperial France or the Empire of Britannia; After all, Se Suomi Imperiumi had never engaged in any direct conflict with Germania in history. (I drew this conclusion based upon the fact that during your' first wartime reports that the enemy was largely an unknown.)

I had to think of a reason why Se Suomi Imperiumi would choose this timeframe to engage a powerhouse like Germania. The answer came to me when I began to look at the history of the region that was considered Germania, the expanse that ethnic Germans covered and potential moves Germania might have made to ensure their own survival when surrounded by other powerful Kingdoms and Empires. Thus I guestimated that Germania would be composed of all of present day Germany, the area surrounding Danzig, Switzerland, Austria and likely Denmark as well as the Netherlands through conquest. (I drew this conclusion based upon the narrow channels that ensure Germanian access to the North Sea and from there to their colonial holdings. Prior to the Great War Germany possessed several colonies around the world - and by invading and conquoring the Netherlands would have inherited their' possessions as well.)

Thus I came to my conclusion as to why an opportunistic nation like Suomi would act against such a juggernaut; A conflict in the Pacific against Imperial Japan who had begun to expand to encompass the holdings of various European Empires. This would mean that a substantial amount of the military might of Germania would likely be in the Pacific theatre among a coalition of nations trying to repel the Japanese invaders and their allies. Then all Suomi would have to do is cough up a few odd occurrences that were reported, such as Germanian fighters using a regional airliner as a mock target, boarding vessels to inspect cargo and by careful political maneuvering could use this as justification in the world view to engage a preoccupied Germania in war to ensure their own sovereign rights while their actual goal was to absorb Germania in several stages while the bulk of their forces were away.

After all, I didn't want the nation my aircraft were to represent be one composed of idiots! lol

There was a lot more in the original posting with specific examples of how very different Germany would have been without the Third Reich, explaining the roles of different individuals in creating the Luftwaffe and so on but I'm -trying- to be brief.

Needless to say, I love history and imagining what might have happened had this event or that taken a different turn. ^_^

@TheOwlAce It isn't? Hmm. I thought it was but then again it has the same powerplant but is heavier so it makes sense. Yeah she's an agile beast. I wanted the escort fighters to be exceptionally agile so that they could be kept close to the bombers and still be able to engage attacking fighters. Sort of how the argument between Galland and Goering went. Goering wanted the fighters deployed to bases in France to stick close to their bombers during the Battle of Britain. The Bf-109 though was not suited to that as it required them to give up their speed advantage when facing the more agile British fighters. Thus when Goering asked Galland what they needed to do as he was commanding, Galland made his classic (sarcastic) retort; "I should like a squadron of Spitfires!"

Why didn't I post your' name? Why, after my first set of builds was published you unillaterally ended the war. Thus I had this pile of builds I'd made for the war still unposted - thus there wasn't much point in posting your' name. The war was already over~ lol

@Sutairs Ah I see! Did you try setting the pylons to zero release force? Probably a foolish question as you're obviously a skilled builder. I haven't tried verticle drop arrangements yet though if I want to produce realistic WW2 German bombers I'll have to cross that threshhold myself. I noticed that the more disposable ordinance you add to a vehicle (aircraft or otherwise) it induces more lag. I had to omit the Infernos from a ship I have on a back burner at the moment due to the added lag they would have provided. That new B-17G in the hot section of aircraft has Boom-50s nudged into the belly and apparently they can be dropped individually through the belly without having to fear them blowing up. That said, again, they aren't positioned nose down. Its highly likely that as they're meant to detonate when their nose hits another object that they would detonate if mounted nose down.
