@Countache27 Well, they should teach you everything you need to know at your airfield/school or wherever you're studying. But in my opinion the main thing is to stay calm. Even if everything in the airplane fails, you can still safely land pretty much anywhere. Especially with ULs and gliders. I've heard about a guy who failed to pilot his glider and entered a downstream of wind which made him lose too much altitude to get to the airfield, so he just landed on the treetops of a nearby forest. He has supposedly climbed down by himself and the glider was rescued by a medical helicopter.
@FastDan I just came to not like the idea itself. I know it sounds dumb and conservative, and that getting killed by a car is just a modern human version of being killed by a bear couple millions years ago.
But my whole life every driver I knew was telling me how easy it is to drive etc, but now that I myself am a driver there's always large pressure on me.
I can be driving through a city (50kph speed limit), and suddenly a guy gets on my tail, and keeps going closer to me even when I'm already going 50. I know people say "ignore him", but how am I supposed to do that, when there's already little to no separation between us. I'm just forced to speed up to create a gap so that we won't bump into each other in case I'm forced to stop on an intersection.
I'd rather go by a bus because I know that if sh-- hits the fan then I'm much safer, and if I have the chance I'll take a train over anything else because I know that trains are coordinated by people who know what they're doing, and in case of a crash it is basically like sitting in a tank.
@Delphinos Well, that's what at least 80% of people do. What freaks me out is that no matter how many good and professional drivers there are, a single guy can easily ruin the day of everyone else
Do you think a modified version of the smoke trail nozzle, that turns on (or changes density) with the altitude, would be possible? For all our chemtrailing needs
@CRJ900Pilot idk, I was looking for an oil rig or something, but I realize that would be hard to create in sp, so I may just stea- I mean borrow one from some 3D model site.
And not much else, as the free version of unity does not support render distance
@CRJ900Pilot It's up to you if you want to upload it public :)
And it doesn't matter which ship, I do not know much about ships so again I'll leave that up to you
@CRJ900Pilot The size doesn't matter. As long as the ship looks fine when upscaled. Also, the less colors used the better. I want to be only a decorative asset, without drawing too much processing power
You don't. You'll need to include a vertical stabilizer and then scale it down so it is virtually invisible, or you can experiment with gyros but that will be pain in the butt
@Hyattorama 4gig ram is more than enough unless you want to play on huge maps. SSD also won't help much. I highly doubt that you can connect an external GPU to the inspiron.
We could discuss this topic forever, you have a large enough budget to afford a lot of options;
You can build a computer, which will give you the best performance for your budget, and, depending on what parts you choose, you will be able to upgrade in the future, although you will have no portability (and... touch controls, i guess?).
A laptop will offer less performance than a computer, but will allow you to take it with you, and some laptops do have touchscreens.
And the most portable option would be a tablet or a phone. That would give you the least performance and also disallow usage of some mods.
This is a shame. You have started really well, I remember when you joined the community, I admired your builds a lot.
To throw it all away because of a piece of criticism is just unwise.
And we can all see how insecure you are about it, as even after you were banned you are using cursewords and despising the game, showing of that you "don't give a crap about it."
I myself was on a verge of quitting and deleting my account, but I realized that it will have literally no positive effect both on me, and on everyone else who enjoys my builds.
You can still recover.
This is a nice community and will soon forget everything bad.
There are newcomers to this game every day, and if they see drama like this they will see the community in a bad light.
What I am trying to say is that by milking drama by posts like these you are doing no good for yourself and anyone else here.
You can still delete this, delete your "offensive" comments, and start over, perhaps with an apology.
Just my two cents.
@Hyattorama Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS. Of course there are cheaper joysticks, but this one offers very good precision compared to similar priced ones. And if you enjoy other flight sims, you can get a small flight panel with buttons'n'stuff for a similar price
EDIT: btw the youtuber UpIsNotJump uses that joystick
@Hyattorama RAM and storage are not very important for SP, it's mainly about CPU and video card (if any). For 300 dollars you can get a decent android machine or a chromebook, and yes, if you can get Google play on it and download SP, then it will function very similar to the PC version. Personally, I don't like the touch or keyboard controls, and prefer a joystick over anything, but I guess if you're good with them, it's up to you. A used laptop or a tablet will do. As I said, my laptop has an Intel Celeron @ 1.5Ghz with integrated GPU, and it performs OK, and nowadays it would be priced under $70
@xXMysticMew2Xx I don't understand your question.
If you mean how top upload it to imgur, then it is rather easy as imgur guides you pretty well
if you mean how to embed it from imgur, then you need to copy the direct image link (ending with .png, .jpg., .gif etc..) and paste it into sp like this:
I just want to point out that very similar propulsion methods have been discovered and utilized a long time ago. Just sayin', so you won't expect an admin to take down ships using the same way of propulsion. Anyhow, nice build 10/10 would download again
Do not delete your account. You will regret that a lot. Plus, your builds are one of the best on SP, and I know what I'm talking about, I went through a lot while making my airliner list.
What is your budget? You can get a SP machine for well less than 100$,
A weak PC will run SP, a weak PC with Linux will run SP even better,
Do not bother with touchscreen, it is of very little help when it comes to SP.
Chromebook will not run SP unless you install Android on it.
Have a look at single board computers such as the Raspberry Pi or preferably the ASUS Tinker Board, they are dirt cheap and can run Android.
A cheap Android tablet is also a way to go, as long as it has USB OTG, so you can connect a mouse and a keyboard.
I have a rather underpowered and old HP630 laptop which could not run SP out of the box, but after installing Linux on it, I now use it to do many of my builds.
My main PC us a tad more expensive, with AMD Athlon X4 and RX470 graphics card.
We could talk about this topic a lot, but it heavily depends on your budget and if you want the machine to be portable.
@F104Deathtrap ahhh! That makes sense! I am trying to make a SSTO that can deliver satellites to space, and I need a method of propulsion that works without any air
@F104Deathtrap @EternalDarkness yeah I tried that, it is not working for me. The airbrake just does couple hundred spins and no movement is happening. Would you mind uploading one and tagging me?
also first I guess hm
new guy misrakes
@Simpleplaner656 good for you I guess
@CursedFlames yes, I often join one of the two servers and many times there's someone on.

@DPSAircraftManufacturer 767 mph at the sea level tu bee completly exact
@Jacobdaniel yus

+1@AdlerSteiner I think he meant that one person in two million dies in a plane crash, not one million out of two million lol
@StarKnight697 for Canada's sake I hope so
@CursedFlames only four.
oh no I overshot
oh god
No worries I'll single-handedly get you there
this perfect
Do you think a modified version of the smoke trail nozzle, that turns on (or changes density) with the altitude, would be possible? For all our chemtrailing needs
@Chancey21 I don't want that really, those models are usually very large and would not fit into the map
@CRJ900Pilot idk, I was looking for an oil rig or something, but I realize that would be hard to create in sp, so I may just stea- I mean borrow one from some 3D model site.
And not much else, as the free version of unity does not support render distance
@CRJ900Pilot btw can I also use your survival bunker for the map? There's a nuked-out island where it would fit well
@CRJ900Pilot It's up to you if you want to upload it public :)
And it doesn't matter which ship, I do not know much about ships so again I'll leave that up to you
@CRJ900Pilot I suppose lights are OK, except they will not actually radiate light to other objects (aka behave exactly the same as beacons in SP)
@CRJ900Pilot The size doesn't matter. As long as the ship looks fine when upscaled. Also, the less colors used the better. I want to be only a decorative asset, without drawing too much processing power
Welcome to SP by the way

@Hyattorama what model of the inspiron do you own? I don't think its completely hopeless
+1the cessna works fine
Activate Windows

@jamesPLANESii Bush Plane 2

Nice. I'd love to go to some US museums in the future. So far I am thinking about the Sinsheim museum, to see concorde and the tu-144
sign me up fam
btw if using imgur you need to replace the https with http

how did you do the smoke? Damaged parts?
