Whaaaa...!!! How come I didn't see this before? It's so precious...!!! We need to get this thing at least 50 upvotes! Who's with me @Luuk2909 @JoeAdkinson13?
If you learned on iOS (like I did), that's a solid foundation for great building. You have to really learn the game, develop tricks, techniques and a real understanding of how things work. It IS a bit limiting, but you can find lots of parts using the "Parts" tag, something I tell iOS users lamenting the limitations of the platform. in fact my highest rated creations are all iOS and it's still fun to just "doodle" on the phone every once in awhile...
@GhostHTX sounds good. The 3 station bomb racks are know as Triple Ejector Racks or TERs. How are you going to prevent the missiles from destroying your jet? I've had that issue in the past, but don't know of a consistent solution...
@Liquidfox Kiwi insignia alone had 16 parts alone (x3), the tail lettering took something like 30 parts each side, plus all the striping detail on the wings, etc., etc.
Can ChiChiWerx submit a proposal to the Paternian AF to build a TARP (Tactical Air Reconnaissance Pod) for the A-8C? We can deliver a proposal for 50 pods at $5M Paternian dollars a copy ($250M total). The advantage to the PAF is the ability to dual role it's A-8Cs and avoid the cost of procuring a dedicated reconnaissance platform 😎.
@flyshow no, it's a standard part. Go into the propulsion part list, I think it's listed as "resizeable intake" or some such. It works very similarly to the resizeable fuselage block, with ability to change length, width, height, corner profile (hard, smooth, curved, circular) and even intake angle. Just make sure the intake is big enough. Too small and your engine will not produce the thrust you expect, too large and it causes too much drag.
Very cool, I've never seen one of the Lander simulators on the site before now. Neil Armstrong lost control of one of these things and had to eject, which only highlights the difficulty of flying these things.
Why don't you use the resizable engine intakes? It would have been cleaner and easier. Other than that, this is a nice, simple build which actually looks like an F-104 though. First upvote!
@CoolPeach gee, rudder is what I would use to "fix the problem". I have a build with custom gear which I'm working on, which does the same thing and I have to use rudder to stay on the runway...but, I think I'm going to keep the custom gear in my case. I'm not aware of any other fix for this recurring problem in SP. If you find out, I certainly would like to know!
She and her navigator, Fred Noonan, got lost during a round the world flight attempt and they disappeared over the Pacific on 2 June 1937. Despite a massive search, they were never found. Since then, explorers have found remains (a shoe, several bones) on Gardner (now Nikumaroro) Island, but nothing definitive which can be used to identify Earhart. Many theories exist, they were shot down or captured by the Japanese, they returned to the U.S., where Earhart took on an assumed name and disappeared from public life. Here's a good source to start your research.
Well, it sounds pretty cool. The only drawback I could see is that I'm pretty sure there is no ground effect in SP, so your build will probably fly the same whether its at 50 ft or 5,000 ft...
I'm curious on the topic of how much of a problem the custom gear would cause on takeoffs? What would happen, would the airplane veer to one side or another?
You're supposed to keep it clean on SP, it's in the rules, so I wouldn't worry about it here. If someone uses inappropriate language, they get a warning. If they persist, they could get banned.
Yes, Fine Tuner does this. It's called Multi-Select. When you open fine tuner, you'll see the "Multi-Select" box in the lower part of the dialogue box. Select that (you'll see the box turn to "Multi-Edit") then click the parts you want to select. They'll turn clear. When you select all your parts, then hit "Multi-Edit", use the X, Y, Z parameters to tilt any way you like. Then hit "Finish" and your parts will be tilted. You can also move parts as a group this way. I haven't figured out about rescaling multiple parts; while I can do them one at a time, when I try to resize multiple parts, it doesn't work. Fine Tuner is a bit glitchy, if you don't do everything in the correct sequence, it won't progress. I simply hit "Save", then I exit SP and re-enter to get back to where I was.
Are you going to build it?

How can I Spotlight...you have 39K points!
Nice jet.

@Sparrow007 @GhostHTX thanks!

This is really good, especially considering that you're working on iOS, which has a long list of limitations.
@TheLatentImage thank you!
@ChaMikey thank you!
@Pilotmario thanks!
I've done it. Here, for your inspiration/ideas. Good luck!
Deadline?
@Liquidfox but I'm glad you like it!

Thank you @NativeChief1492 @grizzlitn
@cobalT thank you!
@Luuk2909 yup, this is the one from Top Gun flown by Jester and Viper--"Yee Haa, Jester's dead!", LT j.g. Nick "Goose" Bradshaw
@saturn28 thank you, sir!
@RAF1 true, it's been awhile, but I finally got around to finishing and posting it!
Thanks @Flash0of0green
@SimpleFlow, thanks! Thanks @BogdanX @rubbishcraft
Very interesting concept...
Well, I have to agree, this is a beautiful build!

Reminiscent of a Dassault Breguet Alize, French anti-submarine plane which first entered service in the 1960s.

Very nice, you really captured the nuances of the Caravan shape.

Excellent job for a newer or more experienced builder!

@WNP78 huh...good to know, thanks!
Beautiful build. Having attempted an Fw-190 in the past, I can appreciate that it's no easy task!

@Brields95 they found parts of an Electra with similar characteristics, but not definitive and the bones were misplaced. Here's the link.

Pretty sweet little F-18 build, nice and simple!
I wonder how much weight this thing can lift?
Gorgeous build!

@DestinyAviation ok, I think I can do that by end of week, will that be fast enough?

Wow, very nice!
Oooohhhh, very retro!
@Kt1578 probably, can you give me a couple of days? Also, what size(s) do you need?
@Dllama4 thanks!
@DestinyAviation, here you go, I realize you told me "never mind", but I was already partially complete with the flag, so here you go, enjoy!
