Suggestion: Make a simple pair of stands for your jet which you can use test the gear o the runway. I'm using them with my current build to make sure it all works correctly. I don't even use the stock gear anymore, but it takes patience, Fine Tuner, XML modding/Overload, nudging, coordinate and angular adjustments. But it's worth it. I find many otherwise-quality builds which use stock gear and it's very noticeable.
You might have to play with the order of the bombs, I didn't have time to really test it...they always drop off in the order that they're placed in the editor, so it's pretty easy to figure out.
Sure, I made this one in response to your question on my phone in about 10 mins: Rotary Bomb Bay. With a little more work, you could put 4 more bombs, sides and doors on there.
NativeChief1492, would you consider extending the deadline for this challenge? I'm around 95% done with my bomber, but need a few extra days to finish.
So, I'm building a large-ish jet as well, mine is approximately 140,000 lbs full up. I have to ask, does your bogey-ed landing gear skid around, bounce and cause the aircraft to move around when it's sitting on the runway? If so, what did you do to solve the issue?
So that I understand your intent, is it to produce original creations or replicas? If it's to produce replicas, then no Tu-28P replicas? The Fiddler's Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) was 96,340lbs and the empty weight was 54,000lbs. I might have also allowed a builder to load up on fuel (lots of fuel and range are pretty much required for interceptor aircraft)...if they're willing to compromise his/her design that way, why not let them? You never know, some builder may exhibit some genius in producing a fast, long-ranged interceptor that's also maneuverable, making the necessary compromises between fuel, weight and wing loading (maneuverability)...
Actually, I think it's the tires, I got rid of the piston and they're still spazzing out...I enabled the tire suspension, it's a bit better, but still there...
@doge sorry, if you tag someone in the description, they won't see it. They can only see the tag if it's in the comment section. Next time, post the build along with the description, but then make a comment with the tag if you want to alert someone of your build.
@JettStorm, well, the Czech one is oriented with the blue field on the left, while the Dutch one has a small orange circle in the middle, so I'm unsure now...
OK, first step, get a picture hosting website, such as imgur.com. Once you have an account there, you can upload some pics to the web. For forum posts, the coding is simple, but a bit tricky. It's: ! [Title of Picture] (link to picture, ends in .png or .jpg) You need to remove the spaces from between the exclamation point and the bracket and the space between the bracket and parenthesis. Also, imgur lists several links with your picture, be sure to us the one ending in the .png or .jpg. For your gravatar, there's a registration process on SP where your gravatar can be hosted, can't remember how exactly it works.
Any suggestions on how to fly this beast (pun, get it :))? I find I need constant forward stick (nose down pitch) to stay in control. Trim is not enabled, so I can't use that. About 25% throttle keeps it under 200 mph, which seems best...any other suggestions?
@Tully2001 I'm trying to adjust the colors and glossiness right now, but am having a lot of trouble doing it, which annoys me because I've modded the XML before to do the extra glossy finish. I open the XML file (not the .bak) file, adjust the color code using the one from hex color, plus the m and s values and hit save. When I open up the designer, NOTHING changes...what am I doing wrong?
@CWhat016 I started on iOS, many of my best builds were iOS...but PC is a game changer. Get Fine Tuner and Overload now! Plus nudge is priceless!
@MechWARRIOR57 yes, true it does save time!

Very nice. It's even puppet-sized (but still pretty large) like the Thunderbirds themselves!

That would be very kind of you, I will tag you on my post. My problem manifests itself on the main 4-wheel bogey...you'll see. Thanks again!
Cool, I like it, plus the backstory is very engaging.

Nice design, original backstory, cool paint...slow, respectful clap ensues...
@mikoyanster excellent, thanks!
Plus, you should post that aircraft as a stand-alone, as it's an attractive-looking design, just sayin'...

Kaga! Akagi! Soryu! Hiryu! Zuikaku! Shokaku!
You've gone to plaid!
Actually, I think it's the tires, I got rid of the piston and they're still spazzing out...I enabled the tire suspension, it's a bit better, but still there...
@Alienbeef0421 well, I am on high physics...

@doge when you post you build, go to the comments section and write: @ChiChiWerx just like you just did here
@Kevinairlines on your Schwalbe?
@doge tag me on your next build!
Yes, I agree, they are nice, if he's going to use black, he could do an above shot so the build shows against the grey. @doge
@ColonelStriker
Looks awesome, but why the unlimited fuel?
Nice!
He needs to color his aircraft anything else besides black...@doge
This is nice, looks good, flies even better, just like an F-5!
@Kevinairlines you realize, of course, that the crews switched our tanks, bombs and missiles as the mission required? It is a nice picture, though!
Hey, how did you get the nose wheel steering to lock when over 40?
Nice!
How come you substituted a single belly droptank for the two wing tanks?
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Yes, it did work, thank you!
@Alienbeef0421 I guess, but it's definitely blue-ish
@F104Deathtrap thanks!
@JettStorm, well, the Czech one is oriented with the blue field on the left, while the Dutch one has a small orange circle in the middle, so I'm unsure now...
@sexylips35 it's a picture hosting site. Free registration.

Looks good, accurate speed at altitude, I'm upvoting this one...you might also like this 😎
Cute, but needs a description...
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation IKR?
@Tully2001 ok, will try to set all to "1"

Essentially this one would have been a 2-seat F-15...but that's lake saying the F-15 is a fixed wing F-14...my head is spinning...
@Tully2001 they're both set to "1"

Wow, a Dutch Tomcat, cool!
@Kevinairlines, a little advert for your next post!
Third option: Pause and come back to it later
All this work and no description?
