Myasichev M-4 Bison 1952 strategic bomber

Sorry for being a bit late)) This is a very complex plane)

This is a replica of the first soviet strategic bomber. It was a pretty advanced jet plane, very similar in design to B-47 and B-52 apart from engine placement and use of spoilerons for roll control on b-52. Myasichev m-4 (internally called 2M as "second model") is an earlier version of my previous Myasichev 3M, it differed in nose design and horisontal stabiliser V-angle. Unfortunately, jet engines were nowhere near the fuel efficiency of tu-95s turboprops (thats why M-4, its later derivatives 3M, 3Ms, 3Mn and 3Md), along with B-52, weight 40-50 tonns more than Tu-95 with the same bomb load and slightly shorter range), so by mid 60s this beautiful bomber was off frontline duty, all the planes were modified to tankers.

Armament:
18 medium bombs
6 defensive autocannons in 3 turrets. Each turret has a camera

Here is a wiki info as the plane is not so well known and a cool video:

As said, this is a first prototype of my Myasichev 3M bomber (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/7mJ33p/Myasischev-3M-Bison-1956-strategic-bomber-WIP-0-8). I have completely remade the nose section, cockpit and empenage for more realism, solved the langing gear glitch and added aimable turrets!

To use turrets lock main controls (Deactivate AG8), then activate turrets with AG6 (dont do it with open bomb bay or landing gear!!!!!!) and activate mouse control (mouse right click)

To arm bombs activate AG7. AG7 + VTOL also controls bomb bay doors.

The plane is very "simulatorish", its not easy to fly, heavy (1:1 scale replica and almost as heavy as it should be, the real one is exactly the same size as B-52 and noticeably bigger than Tu-95. ) its for those who like some realism and pain) It was a pain to make a realistic flexible wing and be able to control it with ailerons without aileron reversal effect) Flaps on flexible wing made a lot of problems too)

A lot more pleasant to fly with joystick.

Flight controls:
pitch is adjusted with trim slider. I reversed it for convenience: Up=pitch Up, Down = pitch Down

You can also trim roll, with AG3+Vtol (use it when AG8 is deactivated or for 2 engines flight) VTOL Up = roll right, VTOL down = Roll left

AG1 - Braking parachute (big one)
AG2 + VTOL - Flaps; (0% = Flaps retracted, 100% DOWN = Flaps deployed)
AG3 + VTOL - Aileron (roll) trim
AG4 - Left engines
AG5 - Right engines
AG6 - Turrets. Deactivate ag8 to lock plane controls, activate mouse control to aim, switch camera to one of three turret cameras. Dont forget to retract gear and close the bombbay!
AG7 - Bomb bay door (100% UP = closed, 0%= open) + ARM Bombs
AG8 - Controlls lock + Ground steering (sensitivity adjustment, when active - steers to the limit, when deactivated - steers 5 degrees) - AG 8 should be active on takeoff, Landing and flight and deactivated on the ground or when using turrets

Take off procedure - Trim 50% up, flaps 1/2 down, full thrust, don't pitch up, the plane will take off automatically at 180-200 mph (same procedure was used in real life)

Landing procedure - full flaps, trim 1/2 up (and adjust when needed), 60% thrust when with full flaps deployed on approach, Near the runway drop trust to 35%, touch down gently, deploy brake chute (AG1). Be careful not to drop below 180 mph - the plane becomes really unstable on low speed and high pitch. Do not land from predefined positions Bandit final approach and Wright airport final approach - approach is too steep there and it is very difficult due to plane inertia.

Level flight - trim ~ 0,25 DOWN

Not for mobile definitely, 800+ parts, many of which are physics heavy gizmos and wings))) Not for MP mod also, other players hated me when i tried once, it makes the whole server lag)

@F104Deathtrap trial and error))) flaps like that i've made before, but its the first with a long section on a flexible wing. They can also actually slide sideways along the wing when it flexes) thanks!

The wings on this thing are a work of art. How did you figure out how to make the flaps work like that?

That would be very kind of you, I will tag you on my post. My problem manifests itself on the main 4-wheel bogey...you'll see. Thanks again!

@ChiChiWerx it did indeed) thats what i've ment by landing gear glitch. I finally solved it. First, instead of making a single shockabsorber strut xml modded to 75 strengh, i ve made several struts rated 15 (in the same coordinates, with collisions off, otherwise they explode)))) that helped, but not completely (glitch still appeared ocassionally). And just this weekend i found a final solution - xml edited wheels to a very low side and front traction, around 0.1). I can tweak your one if you send it to me.

So, I'm building a large-ish jet as well, mine is approximately 140,000 lbs full up. I have to ask, does your bogey-ed landing gear skid around, bounce and cause the aircraft to move around when it's sitting on the runway? If so, what did you do to solve the issue?

Ahh, dammit, i forgot the camera for the bombardier view in the nose(((
