@Yeeturmom
Strange because when I just downloaded this pitch was roll and roll was pitch. I’m guessing there was an update that broke this, and it’s something with the real way gyroscopic stuff works or whatever.
@LinusTouchTips
Cool, man.
I just wrote this comment and accidentally deleted it by upvoting before I submitted it lol.
AG-8 being standard sweep makes sense. The really F-14 has notches for the manual sweep handle for full sweep and over-sweep. I just think it would be nice to have the ability to go into over-sweep too.
It looks AMAZING though, great job on it!
And sorry for the massive for comment, and thanks for reading it all. If you want any help with this or any other project, feel free to ask me.
If you want to write a FAR too long comment on my F-14, (mostly because my F-14 is my only decent aircraft) please do!
(Even this comment is too long lol)
I'm not trying to be a hater, it's supposed to be constructive criticism, but hear me out:
Most F-14s on the front page look great, but lack proper functionality (unless you're talking about the F-14 I saw with EVERY... SINGLE... SWITCH... which had great functionality [at tanking my FPS] and was pretty cool) and cockpits that leave some to be desired, at least in the realism aspect.
This one looks awesome and flies alright, but the realism isn't the best. (AWESOME afterburner by the way)
This'll just be a list of things I'd like to be improved upon so it doesn't sound like I hate this thinks entire existence.
First off: THE DARN FLAPS! THOSE THINGS WENT LIKE 60 DEGREES DOWN LOL
Idk the real flap angle, but I would go somewhere 30-40 degrees.
Second, the aircraft pretty much has fly-by-wire. I understand it to make it easier to handle, but things like the slats moving automatically kinda bugs me.
The cockpit could be greatly approved upon, especially the RIO seat. I get that it's probably a mix to be good looking but also functional. If you want a more realistic cockpit, not to toot my own horn, but I am more than willing to help. :) I have a Tomcat of my own, (although some changes for the D variant would be needed) and it would be great to check it out if you want. Mine is far from perfect, and if anyone wants to write a long-winded comment of the things you would like to be improved on on mine, (technically proper grammar?) PLEASE DO!
And lastly, the wings:
If action group 8 is meant to be the storage sweep, it goes past the normal 68 degree wing sweep (as you may have noticed, I'm a major F-14 nerd). I also suggest making either negative or positive VTOL the flaps, and the other side manual wing sweep. Say positive VTOL is the flaps ik it's weird instead of negative, it's because I want negative for manual wing sweep) and negative VTOL manual wing sweep. When VTOL goes all the way down (negative), the wings sweep 75 degrees back (doesn't have to be exact idk if mine is) and VTOL up makes the flaps go down.)
The wings also need more lift. :)
And again, I'm not trying to hate on you or your aircraft. It's just supposed to help. As I said before please go ahead and do the same thing to my aircraft!
I hope this helped a little.
Oh wait, the F-82 is a real aircraft, two P-51D Mustangs (or F-51 depending on when it would be placed) welded wing to wing. How about the F-62A Barracuda?
@Scrugy51
Lol thanks man. The new version is already on the way with a Pilot and Rio, head movement, (hopefully) more realistic flight characteristics, and functioning ejector seats.
@0ut16w
This is awesome! I’d love to see more of these aircraft in this line, and if you ever what to add cockpits with lists of random cockpit stuff, I’m open!
Anyone here know how to make something point at the target no matter the orientation? I'm putting a pilot and RIO into my tomcat and I need the RIO to look at the target, even when rolled to the side, etc. I have (Heading / 180) - (TargetHeading / 180) and TargetElevation in it, but it doesn't work unless it's perfectly upright. I have a rotator with a hinge rotator on top.
As long as you credit it, absolutely! I’d love to see that, if you could put a link here in the comments that would be awesome! Can’t wait to see it!
Lol I had an exclamation mark after every sentence
@MOPCKOEDNISHE I barely scrape by with my Funky Trees knowledge and I don't know any programming/coding languages (Although I'd love to) so I doubt I could do it, but I might give it a shot.
Thanks.
@MOPCKOEDNISHE Is it possible to take the code from this and put it into funky trees for a label like the one part hud? I've been looking for a lead indicator like this mod has.
I have a challenge up and I can link it here if it is possible to take the script for the lead indicator and transfer it into a label.
Thanks :)
@PlanariaLab Would it be possible for you to make a lead indicator too? I have a challenge up. Anyone else who reads this feel free to join in.

@GorillaGuerrilla Thanks, man. THe roll reversal is more manageable now with the fixed thrust vectoring but it's still there. I'm about to go put this into my aircraft right now. Thanks again.
I'm stupid, my thrust vectoring was going opposite to my afterburner, so even with afterburners on it did roll very well in PSM. So I guess when I hit around 15 degrees of AoA the thrust vectoring of the normal engine was enough to roll the aircraft in the opposite direction.
Anyone know how to invert the ailerons when above a certain AOA? My plane 5/6th gen fighter has roll reversals and I want to get rid of it, it just doesn't fit with a 5/6th gen aircraft.
Do you mind if I use your Hud for my F-22?
Also, when I put the Hud into another aircraft the pitch latter and other things stop working, is there a different part it relies on?
I’ve entered. Also 1950s-1990s is more like Cold War challenge.
@Randomplayer
Fictional, real, or never built/put in service?
I’m guessing real and/or never built/put in service.
@Yeeturmom

@LinusTouchTips no sadly
We got FIVE whole upvotes on the last version…
SO MAYBE SIX THIS TIME AND THEN THE NEW VERSION
Lol
@LinusTouchTips
Thanks, man
NEW new version already on the way!

@7hatN3wGuy
Cool, I’ll do it, you can re-upload my upload with the cockpit, just credit me in the description. :)

@windshifter1
fireGuns and fireWeapons I believe.
I know what I'm doing with my F-14 next April 1st Hehehe
@C47skytrain
Why’s that? To my understanding a symmetrical wing wouldn’t produce any lift at 0 AOA. Thanks for the feedback!
@Scrugy51
Lol thanks man. The new version is already on the way with a Pilot and Rio, head movement, (hopefully) more realistic flight characteristics, and functioning ejector seats.
@TriStar
Come on! Credit the original builder!

Fixed it :D

Tag me three please, this looks awesome.

And it would be really nice to have two people in the same aircraft. I'm working on an F-14 so that would be awesome.
As long as you credit it, absolutely! I’d love to see that, if you could put a link here in the comments that would be awesome! Can’t wait to see it!
Lol I had an exclamation mark after every sentence
@Robomo00119 Thanks man!
Help 'we'? come on me get your spelling together it's meant to be ME.
Dumb question, they clearly aren't.
OH COME ONE! I never uploaded it uuuuuuggghghhhhhh
Idk why I keep putting thanks at the end lol

@TheFlyingWolfYT Me too, weird
Looks like an F-16 or I thinks it’s the JF-17?
Why is NO ONE saying ANYTHING about how the roll and yaw are inverted in the transmitter?
@PlanariaLab Would it be possible for you to make a lead indicator too? I have a challenge up. Anyone else who reads this feel free to join in.

Please someone just do this I need a lead indicator for a hud
In all seriousness I'll make a XV-5A Vertifan (Idk y I'm telling u guys this lol). If you've never heard of it I highly suggest searching it up.
@GorillaGuerrilla Thanks, man. THe roll reversal is more manageable now with the fixed thrust vectoring but it's still there. I'm about to go put this into my aircraft right now. Thanks again.

are radarLock, missileLaunch, and targetLock real inputs?
Anyone who tries this in VR, just let me know how it works.
I just searched for a Hud, and I realized you used the one part Hud, so I guess I don't have to ask you for permission.
Do you mind if I use your Hud for my F-22?
Also, when I put the Hud into another aircraft the pitch latter and other things stop working, is there a different part it relies on?
Right here!
I also just uploaded a newer version of this too.
Btw I just uploaded a Updated version on the F-16 without the livery
man i suck at spelling
Ik it was just a disclamer
FYI I've made some upgrades so I'll upload a newer version soon.
Dang it I miss spelled impossible.
@Zanedavid nah only these cause there imposible to get on and off. Twist ties are much better.
I NEED it.
