@Doesthishappen yeah.. all player created objects are classified as "airplanes" even though it is a car, ship, animals, a rock, tree..etc
.
Ai planes can only spawn naturally when it has 7 wing limit and 150 total parts limit. They usually spawn within 10 miles from you
.
if the design exceed the limit you will have to spawn it manually. Structural panels is not counted in the wing limit.
@Droidspenser in fact they do! when building mountain roads, engineers use dynamite to destroy part of the mountainside so they could convert that place to a nice and flat surface to lay the road's foundation. I've seen this happen in my hometown. the landslide (just a small, controlled, safe one) it caused is a sight to behold.
.
the boomerang shaped arm is called the boom arm. dont ask me why they call it that
This design is extremely hard to balance.. your back wheel should stay in the center when turning and you might want to bring you CoM lower to improve its stability.. good job getting the guns to work!
Great looking aircraft you have here.. I managed to learn how to make it fly properly after a few crashes.. you should put the airbrakes in the vtol slider so it is easier to control how much they open.. or you could reduce their range by editing their min/max setting
@baallzebub nah, dont say that. It is good enough when flown by the AI. It could do a loop without any problems. The AI is prone to extreme maneuvers so I want the plane to be as stable as possible.
.
The reason why I want to save this plane as one of my AI planes is because it is of perfect size and weight as my other planes.
.
P.S. Your antiship torpedo is amazing
@baallzebub its okay sir. I could fix the rolling problem myself if I deconstruct it. I just asked you to do it first because it is your plane and want it to fly as good as you originally wanted it to.
nice! I like how whole car shakes at each shot.
.
I had the same idea when making ship turrets but i didnt implement it because the piston will not return to its default position when you let go of the fire button.
instead of going for a submarine I made a mini remote controlled heli for my ship.. and it worked perfectly for taking out those pesky missile turrets.. this ship became the inspiration for that
@jamesPLANESii Thats my problem too.. until now i still dont have the undersea dock location in my list because I want to strictly use a ship to unlock that place. I made a ship which could do possibly do that but the missile spam is killing me halfway through the river.
@TehDuck I know.. My method is just easier to follow, just take off then activate autopilot (does mobile have auto.pilot?) then have coffee untill you get there
I'll upvote this because its unique. but please, next time use fuselage blocks to save as much parts as possible.. With it You could have probably save upto 600 blocks and still get the detail you want and more.. another thing, car engines do not need a lot of fuel
@EternalDarkness can you try this? Those railings I made is actually very wasteful.. I did not realize how much parts they consume until I took them out.
.
@Wakescar, @realluochen9999 Thank you!
@TheLatentImage Thank you for the feedback! I didnt think this would actually work on mobile.. what device are you using?
.
This ship even works better if you have some thing to shoot at.. If your device can handle it, try challenging the Beast and its escorts
Very nice!
.
Edit: I just thought of something... It is possible to reduce the weight of anything using massScale=X right? What if you reduce the boom arm's mass to almost nothing.. That would theoretically solve your problem with it being too heavy.
@UnivalentHen sorry, signing up for beta testing has ended several days ago.. You will have to wait for the official update..
.
In the meantime, click that little star thingy up beside the name of the truck.. Doing so will mark it as one of your "favourites". Do this to any designs you want to download but cant because you dont have the proper game version.. This is so you can easily get back to them when the official update is out.
@UnivalentHen you need 1.4 version from Steam or if you have signed up for Android/ios beta then you can download the beta version of SimplePlanes.
.
If you are not a beta tester then you can wait until the official update which wil come out sometime in may.

Menu>Spawn AI Plane> choose your plane. After that activate the Air to air targeting.. If you are close enough they should show up as grey boxes

This?
@TheLatentImage I have sent you a PM in reddit..
This design is extremely hard to balance.. your back wheel should stay in the center when turning and you might want to bring you CoM lower to improve its stability.. good job getting the guns to work!
Nice!
scaled up cockpits are weird. be careful with them as they could spoof your targeting system.

Dunno if this would run in mobile but you could try to use it to destroy the Beast and its Destroyers from 3 miles away.

I would love to save this as an AI only plane.. BUT, it rolls slightly to the left.. if you could fix please tag me in the comments
@Lawgic xml edit.. I have some info here.. scale="0.001,1,0.001" should do the trick... if not just play around with the numbers
you could use
scale="x,x,x"
to make the training wheels almost invisiblenice! I like how whole car shakes at each shot.

@kikasshes its pretty nifty.. if I ever forget how to format my texts I'll just go back here and click "Edit" then bam!! instant formatting guide..

@EternalDarkness but... the bragging rights..... just kidding.. thats actually genius!

@Chevygmoney are you on mobile?

Take off in Wright airport then fly straight for a very long time
@Geekpride correct. It usually last from 10 - 100 years depending on what kind of copyright and where the claim was filed

@WalrusAircraft This is the ship I talked about a few days ago!
@Liquidfox Thanks!

Very nice!

@WalrusAircraft Thanks!
that interior view is incredible!
@TheMasterSoldier you flatter me too much.. Thank you!
Good job at the trailer mechanism..
its a very simple, boxy bus... I like it!
@AeroEngineering I do! its permanently enabled on my game now because of how useful it is
@Thelaw11 This is my Magnum Opus.. I made this for one year.. I scrapped around 3 complete designs until I arrived in these one. Thank you!
Tilted tire at the back is a nice touch!
@Thelaw11 You are in in upvote spree! Thank you!
