    @aerodummy i built the sail like this:


    Sail segment > Rotator (powered) > Rotator (Floppy) > Sail Segment


    the floppy rotator is only free moving up to a certain degree and the powered rotator has increased "max" values to compensate for the other's floppiness


    ex - if the floppy rotator is 90* free moving then the powered rotator needs to move 180*. This only works if the sail is vertical, tho, so gravity lock the sail by pulling the entire thing downwards.

    @Thorne im using it for a soldier's arm. When he's above the water he'll be slashing his sword but when he's on the water (< 3ft) he'll try to swim.

    I'm making a medieval ship. I'd like to add soldiers on board for boarding operations.

    Alt answer: Create a fake flap with wing and rotators. Disable drag on fake flap then add a another tiny wing hidden somewhere that will do the work your fake flaps should have done. The good thing about this is you can control the tiny wing's behavior without ruining the looks of your plane.

    My Space Ship. I'm happy it got 30 upvotes but i was expecting more since i spend lots of time making it.

    I thought the ship was very good but, honestly, when i flew it yesterday its pretty sh!t. Im not surprised it didnt garner attention as much as i expect it to do. I may redo it in the future when i have the motivation.

    if you open up the engine compartment you would see that it has a very simple circuitry. so there is no way to put controls for engine power other than the on/off switch

    • Lower your plane's speed.
    • Use two piston/rotator assembly instead of one and connect them to your flaps on both sides. This will add some strength.
    • reduce the mass of your flaps to zero.
    • dont use too many disconnected bodies. example: fuelage>rotator>wing>rotator>some more fuselage>rotator>piston>flaps.

    Turn throttle governor on then lower the props' HP a bit. With the governor on, the props will start spinning independently from your throttle but since it has no pitch (or until you use yaw) it does not affect your heli's flight.

    @Jester I was only able to test for 15 mins anyway (work is busy this week) so it may be possible that the Sunfish is just unlucky as you said.

    Regardless, im not complaining since my other boat is included in the mod.

    If you have a slow pc (like I do).. please use Medium Water instead of High.

    The boat tends to bug out on High + Ocean mod + slow @ss pc

    Edit:
    i just realized that the boat turns unrealistically fast. IF you want to tone it down please find the shrunk down VTOL nozzle i used to counter-steer the boat. It is located slightly below where the Center of Mass (CoM) lines intersect. Change its Input to this:

    (Roll < 0 ? 0.35 : 0) + (Roll > 0 ? -0.35 : 0)

    Another note: some people reported ths boat is too bouncy on pc with Intel HD graphics when played without Ocean mod. Please set your game to run on a proper GPU or play with Ocean mod if your laptop doesn't have a GPU :)

    It works alright on Android phones though.
