Go to the “down arrow” button besides the download count, it contains the same menu where the “edit” button is located.
Click the “Update XML” button.
Try to choose a file. Note that files must have the same id as the craft you want to update.
Click upload, your SimplePlanes build post will be updated so users who click the download button will download the most updated version of the XML file you uploaded. You will also be taken to the “XML history” immediately, where you can view the list of XML files you uploaded to said build post.
This forum post sums up everything you asked in more depth and detail.
.
I also have a number of concerns regarding this practice, most often:
That you don’t get to update the thumbnails to reflect the current version of the XML file. Due to this, a build whose updated XML file is far too different from the thumbnail it depicts may be in violation of a rule about mislead thumbnails. Therefore, when posting new versions of XML files that is far different than the previous version, it is recommended you upload it as a new build post.
A large, commercial aircraft with a fighter canopy and cockpit is extremely uncommon. They generally have side-by-side cockpits with windshields that do not usually encompass the entire cockpit area. However, I think I get what you mean.
The symbols looks like what the Imperium of Man would wear, and this would be a perfect vehicle for use by the Imperium. Anyways, nice rivetless replica.
This is a good plane for a new user. This replica happens to be good, at least. Well the only recommendations are that you add a cockpit to this plane and change the canopy to hollow glass fuselage. Anyways, good job.
@DeveloperKorzalerke, it’s pretty normal for users to remove comments, wether it is because they are uncomfortable with that or they want to avoid violating any rules. The moderators can view removed comments.
There is no way you could reneenable this sort of thing and I have not seen a button that sets the follow list to private. It’s likely a bug related to internet speed.
Nice work on the livery and sponsor labels. I would like if the linkages on the suspension could move. Also, the top inlet needs to be a fuselage inlet instead of a fake inlet, otherwise it will just be a thing that drags the car down without any benefit.
Nice armored artillery truck with pretty much sufficiently well modeled window frames, grille, interior, car lamps, and engine. You might need some work on the cannon platform though, such as the lack of other support beams. Plus the joints on the suspension need to be a bit thicker.
Combine to form into what?

@Rework, congratulations on that. It seems you survived the art of literal, legalistic commentary.

And thank you to whoever informed me in first place. It's now 50 upvotes as for this comment.
for some reason im the only person that is allowed to get the Railway wagon...
What does that mean? Please clarify, thanks.
.
Yes, I can spot a troll face over there. I hope this build would not get a DMCA takedown notice from Carlos.
@AnHNWhiteCornet, okay then. Start by replacing the inlet with a hollow fuselage, then hollow out the fuselage blocks (make sure they’re hollow fuselages, use overload to replace them, however note that by replacing them all connections might be lost).
Dear friends, I am very sorry to have left SP. Right now I have to attend studies. I hardly have time to relax. I really like SP and I think at some point I will return. Meanwhile, I observe your planes. I'm watching the creations and mods improve, making SP look better every day. I hope and wish that SP incorporates by default the advancements and graphical improvements that many modders are developing. The day that the developers of SP are able to introduce textures and the possibility of including decals, paint schemes, to improve the appearance, it will be the final leap in quality that it lacks. This will also reduce the time it takes to prepare a plane with a good level of detail and I am sure that in that case I will be hooked on SP again. Be that as it may, I keep watching and the day I least expect I'll be with you again. I hope and wish you are well. Enjoy and perfect your planes. I love to see them all. A hug to all.
@BeastHunter, that’s probably one possibility. What would happen if all builds in simpleplanes.com were non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and if the points were somehow cryptocurrency?
@TheFlightGuySP, @goboygo1, @Far2Crispy, it’s actually more confusing than that. The terms of service contains no provisions related to user content (there is no clause of licensing and sub-licensing such as section 4 of twitter’s terms of service, which could cause legal ramifications). However, the “Tweaking airplanes is okay” section of the rules appears flexible and appears to have allowed the taking of parts from one to another (if I am not wrong). Perhaps, such could apply to funky trees code as well.

@Ren, I think he is trying to tag random people like you to answer his question, do you want a fight Rick Astley vs Andrew Garrison? This just my speculation that I cannot guarantee otherwise.
This is great work. Some people might have trouble creating eyebrow windows on their airliner front fascia.

Now, using the same body, make the 737’s bigger cousin, the Boeing 707.
@Embedd, well, tell him how to read replies. There is a button named “notifications” right under your username besides the main, horizontal navigation tab (menu), if you click it.

Oh, I overlooked the successor auto-credit. Sorry about that.
@Ginger249, all the weapons might need to be eliminated. The weapons and accessories in where the hands should be should be replaced by 5 digit hands, like a human has, but robotic. You can make different versions with different configurations (like a military version with a gun on it’s arm), but the base (civilian) model should not have any.
.
P.S. You should post these versions as unlisted and then put links to said unlisted posts in the base model post’s description. I’ll give you how to link: [name](url)
Thanks.
Nice anime mecha. But please, give it a backstory in the description and the name. I am also inviting users to see this.
.
P.S. next time, please post WIPs as unlisted, so it doesn’t clutter up both the aircraft feed and your homepage.
@ShikanoinHeizou, it needs to be
- aesthetically pleasing.
- Highly detailed.
- Innovative.
Not all of these categories count; it’s loose and I can spotlight whatever I want. Thanks for asking.

+1That was a very good, detailed build. The sponsor labels need to be a bit more detailed and varied.

Hi Gary Andy. Care developing PlanesSimple?

@JuanNotAnAlt, @ThatOneRoadTrainBuilder19, so if this was published publicly, is it free to use too?
That’s pretty nice but simple replica isn’t it? I suggest you use fuselage smoothing for the turrets.
What does that mean? Please clarify, thanks.

Yes, I can spot a troll face over there. I hope this build would not get a DMCA takedown notice from Carlos.
Kane Pixels when a drone knocked his head while sleeping.
+2Top 5 anime mecha.
I think this is a feasible build in real life, but the feet need to be a little wider to increase ground contact.
+2@AdequatePlanes101, good. Now make a toy series out from it (something like a not really g.i.joe-rip-off maybe?).
@Brrrrrrrrrrrrr, imagine giving this countryball a humanoid body underneath (like I always have)... XD
+1@AnHNWhiteCornet, okay then. Start by replacing the inlet with a hollow fuselage, then hollow out the fuselage blocks (make sure they’re hollow fuselages, use overload to replace them, however note that by replacing them all connections might be lost).
What a nice paint job edit, regardless, with 2 additional parts. Now can you do a cockpit?
When you made an 80s toy come to life.
Nice. Sadly, the canopy is all but in need for framing.
+2Nice cockpit, but the nice looks weird and the front landing gear is a little bit off. Also why 3 landing gears at the back, it should be just 2.
+1This is probably a joke tag the developers made and the developers might not be interested in fixing this “it doesn’t work” problem.
Inlet looks too small, but nice plane though.
+1What does that supposed to mean? It looks extremely informal.
+1Now James is getting even more jealous now!
He used to have that good ol’ standard default profile picture.
+1I am not sure what problem are you referring to? Please clearly specify the problem, so I can help you. Thanks.
@BeastHunter, that’s probably one possibility. What would happen if all builds in simpleplanes.com were non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and if the points were somehow cryptocurrency?
+1I think the upvote and rank system is a way to increase competition, unfortunately it had nasty side effects though (like some users becoming greedy).
+6Monobloc chairs are extremely common. They’re even more common in Indonesia.

@ChamDel78, so there isn’t much I can do now. :/
Lufthansa’s lawyers when they look at the livery of this particular airline...
+7Put a tail rotor with no collisions into the hollow ring and put fuselages as a hub. Hope you can understand.
@Ren, I think he is trying to tag random people like you to answer his question, do you want a fight Rick Astley vs Andrew Garrison? This just my speculation that I cannot guarantee otherwise.
+1Nice biplane (with some unrealistic features). You could have used the command chip, instead of the odd cockpit.
Now that’s one of every cartoon villains’ favorite weapons of mass destruction. XD
This is great work. Some people might have trouble creating eyebrow windows on their airliner front fascia.

How about you try and make an even simpler E2? Just a suggestion.

Nice but it looks oversaturated with unnecessary weapons. Could you make a stripped-down version?
