I gave it a shot, and basically it isnt too bad, but I cant figure out how to find the time taken for something to happen between two random points after level load A and B. if i could the pitch one would be easy enough. However I recommend using a PID as an input for pitch and in short you have to tweak x,y,z to your liking, but clamp(PID(TargetAltitude,altitude,x,y,z),-1,1)/90 should work, this said, I dont really use this on my builds
uh, i mean this all depends on how the engine is on the plane, if the engine is straight down its easier, then clamp01(Altitude-TargetAltitude) or if you wanna use something more complicated look at the guide for PID's Pids are made for this stuff, if the engine is horizontal, then you need to look at the pitch, im just gonna do some maths and try and see if i can help ig
@SuperSuperTheSylph i feel you, got a maths exam on tue and a phys one on friday for uni, focus on you, your course and life, best of luck, not that you need it im sure
@Zero0Two2 I mean yeah, sorta, AI was cool when it was brand new, but nower-days its pretty easy to point out, and worse, it always sounds pretty same-y. Its nice to see people here taking the time for their own craft descriptions
Ai is just guessing at patterns which are too complex for it, its images are usually disjointed and contain loads of incorrect visual artifacts from the large to the small. Its been implemented too early and its poisoning its own data supply.
Yeah, but there would have to be a bunch of rules for the hubs, e.g. based on part count/performance cost, also stuff like explosionscale and missile xml stuff would have to be limited.
Collaborative building would be neat, but only with user selected people, but it would become an issue with mods, and also if too many people are building and stuff, testing the game-engine limits, it would not be great for others
although I should note that zeroondeactivate will need to be turned on, also you cant really code much with the activation groups, so its best to do it in the inputs, you can still have it throttle controlled by multiplying the input by clamp01(Activate1) hence it turns off completely when the activation group is off, otherwise it is the throttle
so for an activation for like an engine you can do clamp01(Activate1) or whatever, the Boolean invert is ! so in theory !clamp01(Activate1) would deactivate with group 1, I recommend having a look at the funky trees guide by snowlakes its one of the useful links in forums
@KisherSmord I mean if in doubt. it sucks. but make it massless. add mass to only where you want it so your centre of mass lift and thrust align and move from there
I also agree about the seeing followers, you can see them WHEN they follow you, but never after that? Also I think it might be kinda interesting to leave dead/deleted banned accounts, as like 'blockeduser' or 'deleteduser' or something, because I came back after a few years and people just don't exist anymore. I don't even have a semblance of why
@Graingy Brother don't stress i've been using this website for 8 years and i'm not even platinum. Also I literally haven't used funky-trees until basically this year. I just happen to be in more maths-adjacent studies right now, so it feels like a bit of fun to learn about stuff like funky-trees and how to get stuff to walk
I dont like building over-detailed replicas because i find the process dull, and I cant be asked to do the magic funky stuff that some people do. This is at the end of the day, a game, and I value fun over all other qualities of a build, I'd rather see a 10 part helicopter that handles like a car than a 10000 part-realistic build with 100 upvotes.
@Graingy ty, i mean i was proud of the main body. but still, have some pride in your work, not everything needs to be insane, ur work is fun and thats honestly my fav thing on this site
congrats
+1I gave it a shot, and basically it isnt too bad, but I cant figure out how to find the time taken for something to happen between two random points after level load A and B. if i could the pitch one would be easy enough. @livingstone tag me when its done please
+1looks great, does it walk?
+1uh, i mean this all depends on how the engine is on the plane, if the engine is straight down its easier, then clamp01(Altitude-TargetAltitude) or if you wanna use something more complicated look at the guide for PID's Pids are made for this stuff, if the engine is horizontal, then you need to look at the pitch, im just gonna do some maths and try and see if i can help ig
@Dragoranos yeah, in the first paragraph
@SuperSuperTheSylph i feel you, got a maths exam on tue and a phys one on friday for uni, focus on you, your course and life, best of luck, not that you need it im sure
+2Yeah the cockpit has all the sensing, so in short without your cockpit most funky-trees break down
@Strucker hell yeah, if you do keep me posted
+1@Strucker fair, i just think itd be cool to see a miraidon bike, I might make one one day in the far far future
+1i looked at your bio and google instantly stopped responding. how about the first 3 digits of pi, its basically the same thing
@MrWriteMonday idk, i dont think you can
@Zero0Two2 I mean yeah, sorta, AI was cool when it was brand new, but nower-days its pretty easy to point out, and worse, it always sounds pretty same-y. Its nice to see people here taking the time for their own craft descriptions
@Zero0Two2 They just sound bland, and over-corporate
@Firecharge123 fair, well when you return say hi ig
+1make a miraidon motorcycle and my life is yours
+1Dont stress screenshots too much, you can usually get pretty high end ones without any magic or anything fancy
+2cya
+1Ai is just guessing at patterns which are too complex for it, its images are usually disjointed and contain loads of incorrect visual artifacts from the large to the small. Its been implemented too early and its poisoning its own data supply.
Don't use it if you can help it
This would be a fire plane, i wanna see it released
+1@ZemiGG glad to hear that!

+1@Graingy Im aware, but as someone english, i can eat raw cookie dough, the pros outweigh the cons
@KisherSmord I mean if in doubt. it sucks. but make it massless. add mass to only where you want it so your centre of mass lift and thrust align and move from there
+1or move the actual wings until they work, make them really tiny, and add structural wings for the looks
decrease lift from wings?
@Graingy try raw cookie dough and come back to me, youll understand
@Graingy If i must die a matyr so be it
@Graingy if it’s the price I pay for the ability to eat raw cookie dough then I understand
make ur own backgrounds, AI always gets mid results
@Dissent3R yes

+1I want a way to selectively ignore things in my notifications, because I never watch videos and my entire stream is full of them.
+3@BARREND you could always try tumblr, or using the hyperlink from privately published Steam screenshots
This is cool, be careful of excess weight/tension, also with higher part counts the physics and stuff can get buggy
@Graingy Cookie dough is safe, and god is it good
This is so fun icl, amazing build
The more guides the better
+2Palmeritas biscuits, or custard creams
@Graingy depends on the country
@DrakonDynamics goated choice
+1@Graingy nah
@Monarchii Thanks, im trying to re-do my mech-walking info. because i feel like its a stupidly difficult thing to break into for basically zero reason

Wait till you hear about 5 guns
@Graingy like one of my favourite builds to date is this
@Graingy that thing doesnt walk at all, it usually blows up under its own weight
