I have a unique technique of very fast turns. I simultaneously pull the control stick towards me and extend the flaps to maximum. Turn speed increases noticeably(for x1.1 to x2.6).

flaps are useful for landing, but not all aircraft can be fitted.
flaps increase wing lift. If they work correctly, the plane should pull up.
