@Mobius1Cyka Thanks for the competition. I saw you were able to give other participants specific feedback to improve, can you remember what led to point loss with this plane?

  • EE Forker 4.1 years ago

@XxMegamonsterxX yeah I borked the direction of the front wings, the bloody AI is too dumb to handle it. Such a shame

  • EE Forker 4.1 years ago

so much to may be winning lol

  • EE Velocicat 4.1 years ago

@Diloph For this case I admittedly got some external help with the coding. Not even a SP player, as the code is purely algebra and I suck at maths. I had an idea, knew the conditions, but I got some help to make the formula

  • EE Velocicat 4.1 years ago

@Mrtrance negative on that, I am not good at making cockpits. Plus my craptop couldn't handle that. If you want to make one as an aftermarket upgrade feel free to

  • EE Forker 4.1 years ago

@teodor99 glad you like it1 And thanks for the spotlight :)

  • EE Chimera 4.1 years ago

    @Zanbradcr3per 4:20 AM...blazeit

  • EE Chimera 4.1 years ago

    @Zanbradcr3per mornin I guess XD

  • 1960's F1 Car Redux 4.1 years ago

I live 30 mins away from the Hockenheimring, and once a year they orgenise the "Hockenheim Historics", a race event in commemoration of the late Jim Clark who crashed in a similar car to the one you recreated. It's a great event for old-school petrolheads, where they actually race in old-timers and cars that are not compliant with current FIA regulations.
Just a tidbit of trivia, really neat car tho.

  • EE Bobcat 4.1 years ago

@DanDaFreakinMan Contra rotating Rotors do allow you to make your frame more compact, but considering how twitchy even this build can be, I do prefer a small tail rotor for more stability. It's a fine balancing act with the used power.

  • EE WOD Enforcer 4.1 years ago

@Shippy456 I suppose you could fit a droid brain in there, but the pilot him/herself would have access to a state f the art HUD and Camera visibility system for complete battlefield awareness!

  • SAH-23A Magister 4.1 years ago

Such a cute little Choppa! The controls are kinda twitchy, but I guess this thing was specifically tailored for extremely well-trained spec ops, not some businessman....the design is a tad nose heavy though, and especially with such a small craft it makes quite a difference. Maybe try lining up the COM and the COT next time for a more stable platform. I absolutely dig the design though, reminds me of a Microchopper I made before 1.8

  • Azure Corp. SS-35TT Official 4.1 years ago

What a delight to see as a spotlight. Just absolutely cool, not much else to say. I love me some boxy cars!

  • XF-1 Starbyrd 4.1 years ago

You definitely weren't lying about high maneuverability, my lord that thing does cobras for days! I love the look of the airframe, despite the fact that you can see the inside of the landing gear through the hollow fuselage parts (maybe block the front off with the blackening fuselage intakes next time?). The craft also loses sooo much energy during turning (even with mouse joystick), but I do think the control surface setup is nifty. All in all, an uproot, I quite like this one!

  • F-69-Heavy_Interceptor 4.1 years ago

It definitely does the intercepting part well, I can't deny that. But Jesus Christ, tow rapid-firing 150mm guns? What are you trying to take out, a Battlestar? XD
Jokes aside those mountings to, unfortunately, produce quite a bit of drag. If you can figure out the x,y,z positioning of parts, I'd recommend moving them closer to the fuselage. Apart from that, a solid enough design. Mind if I tinker around with it a bit?

  • NB 3 bird bomber 4.1 years ago

I definitely see what you were doing here, the payload is solid and performance is pretty good at altitude (the roll rate even a tad much for a bomber). If you can get around to using adjustable fuselage blocks in the future, you could also make this pretty aesthetically pleasing too. I hope you won|t mind me tinkering with this design a bit.

  • roller 4.1 years ago

A very nifty little bugger, kinda cute too

  • Wraith Class Heavy Cruiser 4.1 years ago

I love the handling in the water, it feels more like a speedboat than a cruiser. And the guns have some nice heft to them

  • EE Sunbeam 4.1 years ago

@Mobius1Cyka I was considering it but the wing landing gear made it a real fuss, so I opted for wingtips instead.

  • Time flies... 4.1 years ago

It's great to see experience accumulate over time, especially when that experience is used to improve the results of one's work. Times of reflection like this are great, and I'm surprised I was even worth mentioning at all. XD Nonetheless, I hope that we can make this game even better as time goes on.

  • RJ-HE 121 Meerschweinchen 4.8 4.1 years ago

So you think translating Guinea Pig to German makes scarier? Quite some Maus logic. Jokes aside neat build

  • EE Sunbeam F 4.1 years ago

@Dicc I'm glad you think this mockup is accurate enough. As stated in the description, this was heavily inspired by the Zero, but as I never strive to build replicas (as I have neither the skill nor patience) I know I cut short on some details. But the general Idea is the same, yeah.

  • Arms Dealing Challenge! (sorry for no photo) 4.2 years ago

Too bad there hasn't been a small update about this, but I'm pretty sure @DerekSP has this one in the bag :)

  • EE Princess 4.3 years ago

@teodor99 this was actually inspired by your own builds. Am just not fussed with finer detailing XD And not gonna lie, yours are still superior.

  • Building The Aerosmith From Jojo with realistic Body Fuselage 4.3 years ago

Perhaps a odd Mix of a Westland Wyvvern and the tail of some modern twin tailed jet. IDFK. Definately is wiggety wack.

  • EE Strat 4.3 years ago

@Mustang51 try looking for the "aero blast" I don't have the model personally so there will be inaccuracies...then again, I don't strive to build replicas
    :)

  • EE Strat 4.3 years ago

@Mustang51 Cheers dude, this was in fact based on a Matchbox toy plane I saw in my local supermarket XD

  • Mord Model Nitecx Drift 4.3 years ago

I love the wang, but was referring to the driver XD Will surely test this when I'm back frrom work :)

  • Mord Model Nitecx Drift 4.3 years ago

    Look at that doood XD

  • EE Quad C 4.3 years ago

@teodor99 I guess this post also reflects my personality

  • EE Origin B 4.3 years ago

@TheBlaster67 believe it or not, most of these planes are just my backlog. For a long time, I didn't upload but built a lot. I wanted to get these out there before concentrating on newer, more optimised builds. :)

  • EE Racer J 4.3 years ago

@TheBlaster67 go ahead, all modifications are your own venture. I think this could make a very good fighter....

  • EE Racer 2 4.3 years ago

    Nice!
Is that extra pair of elevators the only major difference or am I missing something? Cool build nonetheless.

  • EE Nordwind P V2 4.3 years ago

An interesting build, adding a jet engine and countermeasures as well as AAMs are a great idea for modernisation (although the official modernisatiion programme, Nordwind J, didn't recieve much interest). Theplatform is quite unstable, I'd advise relocating thee jet to somewhere inside the fuselage or even clipping with the prop engine if it would wok. Nice build
    nonetheless. #StayEpic

  • EE 26AS GAF 4.4 years ago

@Homemade sure why not, although I don't have the skill or patience to actually improve on your high tier builds XD . And if you like anything of mine, help yourself XD
And @Mobius1Cyka I really liked the original design, is very smooth and MIG like, especially the cockpit design.

  • EE Point 4.4 years ago

@Mobius1Cyka always glad to please :) Thanks for your ongoing support

  • Good bye 4.4 years ago

  • Islands 4.4 years ago

To be fair the Kraken has a cave, although it's kind of hard to enter and survive....

  • Autoclimbing 4.4 years ago

Excessive lift on the wings can also cause that issue, try a semi-symmetric airfoil if you have a flat bottom one built in

  • EE Mikasa 4.4 years ago

@BuiltBionixInd10 fun fact, i originally concieved this Aircraft as a "melee" aircraft, with 2 long potrusions resembling blades instead of the bombs. So you have the right idea with that meme XD

  • Arms Dealing Challenge!!! 4.4 years ago

Is a fun competition, let's hope you get some more cool designs

  • EE Mikasa 4.4 years ago

@BlackBoA cheers, I went with the theme of simplistic and crude for this competition. On my profile, I have way more refined designs XD

  • EE Mikasa 4.4 years ago

@USA1783 Cheers, I always write them in Character, albeit I went the extra mile for this one XD

  • Screenshot as upload thumbnail 4.4 years ago

@daxxiam looks like you got it by now XD I used this mod: https://www.simpleplanes.com/Mods/View/870822/Upload-with-Screenshots

I've been inactive due to a broken PC will be uploading some builds again soon though XD Have a great day and #StayEpic

  • EE Futa J 4.9 years ago

@Kitten777 hentai is good, futa not....understandable now? XD

  • EE Futa J 4.9 years ago

@Kitten777 The latter is by no means the problem, quite the opposite IMO, but the former.....not my thing XD

  • EE Futa J 4.9 years ago

@Kitten777 the person who wanted me to build this is into that....hence why I refuse to comment XD

  • EE Futa J 4.9 years ago

@Minecraftpoweer We will add no further comment to the choice of given name. It was an intended pun, yet one against our will XD

  • EE KA GAF 4.9 years ago

@Delphinos glad you like it :)

  • EE Formula 4.9 years ago

@robloxweponco personal best so far 1:19, However, our team is not specialised in driving as of now ;) Feel free to let us know your personal best
