@2Papi2Chulo Thank you for making that aircraft. It flies so well! I was able to update it with the new VR controls and it was a lot of fun to fly in VR. Sadly the part count on it is too high to run well on an Oculus Quest 1/2, but it ran really well on my PC.
@SimpleSquare We have a few new parts that can be used for making custom controls in cockpits that can be interacted with in VR. We'll post more about it over the next few weeks.
@marcox43 I plan to make a post about gauges next week. They won't support everything that you listed, but they can do a lot. Also, we plan to add a Label part so you can put custom text wherever.
@Kittyhawk909 @scratch @CenturyAerospace @nuuuu @Suica @Hunsolo @Walvis @Power123 @EDEN971 @SpletzerAvion That's a lot of great suggestions. I made a new post here where you can add suggestions for the v1.11 update.
@rexzion We have to do something for sights, but I'm not sure what quite yet as we are still working on that. Do you have a link to a craft that has a sight that won't work in VR?
@ArkRoyalTheDDhunter I would recommend the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. It starts at $299 USD and you can connect it to a PC with a USB-C cable or Air Link and play PC VR games. You can also play games designed specifically for the Quest, so you don't need a PC at all. It also supports inside-out tracking, so you don't need to set up lighthouses/sensors in your room for position tracking.
@AircraftMechanic19
1) Yes, mod support for the Steam version of SPVR should be about the same as the original SP. However, mods that have their own user interface will probably not display properly (or at all) in VR. The Oculus Quest version will not support mods.
2) VR tag would make sense for mods.
3) See #1
@GabrielFangster70 Yes you can fly airplanes that don't have a fully immersive cockpit by using the physical controls on your VR right or PC. You can fly from orbit, chase, fly-by camera modes, or the traditional cockpit view.
@Kennneth SPVR should have the same modding support as SP on Steam, but no modding support on Oculus Quest. If we can't make modding support work for whatever reason, you could always just use the original SimplePlanes. When you buy SPVR on Steam it acts like a DLC and will unlock the VR mode in original SimplePlanes as well.
@AN2Felllla Thank you for making those awesome crafts. I enjoyed flying them in VR! We have some features in the works to help make it easier to build cockpits. We'll post more about it next week.
@Falkenwut Yep, those will be in the base game as well. Since the VR game will not have a building mode, all airplanes will need to be built in original SimplePlanes. These new parts will be included in the next SP update.
@CaptainSquadronLeaderX Yes, we are planning to release for Oculus Quest 1&2. The graphics won't be as good as the Steam version, but it's so awesome to be able to play untethered or if you don't have a PC available. You can reach out with your touch controllers and grab virtual flight sticks. It's so much fun, I can't wait for you guys to play it.
Yes, it is fine to post your tool here. An .exe file is really no better or worse than installing a mod for SP. That is why we display the disclaimer when a player clicks on the download link for a mod. Ultimately, the player needs to trust the author, because even with the source code there's no way to know that was the actual source code used to build the mod/exe. Download at your own risk.
I'm sure this is obvious, but airplanes are different and are perfectly safe to download. There's no executable code in those.
@KnightOfRen I'm really not sure what would be causing that. I would suspect mods, but you said you aren't running any except FT. I just crash-landed, upside down with flames coming out and it still says Level Complete. I guess you could send us your log after you have another failed attempt. You can find it here:
@ChrisPy I would guess that powering off might have something to do with it. The best way to prevent this is to save under different filenames occasionally. I will append a -1, -2, -3, etc to the end of the filename so that I can always go back to an old file. It protects you if one does become corrupt and it's also fun to look back at a project and see its progression over time.
One last thing you could check is if there is an _ _ editor _ _.bak file and try renaming that to Test.xml and see if you can load it and what it is.
@WalrusAircraft We've been waiting for the game development technologies to mature to the point where we could really build SimpleWheels the way it was meant to be. I'm not sure we're there yet, but we're getting closer.

@Zippy6 Thank you. We're planning on reworking them ourselves, but I'll keep it in mind in case things change.
@PenguinUSA1212 We have added a new, VR user interface for browsing online airplanes in the game.
+1@klm747klm747 Good ideas. Please post them on the suggestion post here.
If you have a suggestion for the update, please put it as a comment on this post.

Sadly they are out of stock at the moment.
+1I'm sure I missed a lot of questions. If you have any questions for me that I didn't answer, just tag me on this post.
@dimondengineer I could make a shirt out of delicious foods, so I like that idea.

@CenturyAerospace @Captainboeing Not sure about MFDs yet. We'd love to add them, but I'm not sure if we will have enough time.

@HorizonOfficial No plans for tank tracks.
@Rsouissi No plans for procedural LG for this update.

+6@LieutenantSOT We are working on a set of parts and features that you can use to build your own completely custom cockpits.

+4@V We are going to rework most of the stock crafts to have new cockpits so they will work well in VR. Also, might add some new ones, but not sure yet.
+2lol....ya, there is a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.

+14@AN2Felllla @Thecatbaron @Kangy Thank you for the clarification. That would be a tough part to implement.
+6@AN2Felllla I still don't follow. Is there a specific part of the video where I could get a better understanding?
What do you mean by semi-hollow fuselages? Do you mean half of the existing hollow fuselage?
+25Special thanks to @Vincent for making this video!
@KnightOfRen Open Windows Explorer and paste that path into the address bar.

What airplane are you using for this challenge?
@Kittyhawk909 I appreciate your support of @MOPCKOEDNISHE and they are very talented, but we are not looking to grow the team at this time.
+11Nice work on this mod, it looks fantastic!

+1@ChrisPy Ah, if there is no .bak file then unfortunately there won't be a way to recover that file. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Check if there is a file with the same name but ending in ".bak"
If you’re leaving, then I’m leaving too.
+13@SupremeDorian impressive!

@Gestour nope
+1Yes, that's fine with us and I think think it's reasonable for you to put links to your Patreon on your profile page as well as your mod pages.
