    @MediocrePlanes Thanks!

  • This Plane is the Wurst 8.2 years ago

    @RedstoneArmory you have to add your own condiments.

  • Fictional Warplane Challenge Winners! 8.2 years ago

    Awesome! It was a great challenge :D

  • Shark Tooth 8.2 years ago

    @AaronSonAirCrafts I wouldn't sweat the number of engines thing. Stacking more engines adds more power, but also adds more weight. Having to sling more weight around those turns, and at higher speeds, creates lots of potential issues. I think 1:26 is a respectable time for this challenge. Mostly you should just worry about how reliably your plane finishes the race without crashing or clipping the water.

  • Fictional Warplane Challenge! (CLOSED) 8.2 years ago

    @bobthetitan Any updates on the judging?

  • Cargo Contest Winners 8.2 years ago

    @ChunderDownUndeR That plane looks fantastic!

  • Turbo-bison (Self loading) 8.2 years ago

    @Pauciloquent Thanks! It really surprised me :D

  • Cargo Contest Winners 8.2 years ago

    Oh snap! I won?
    .
    I was wondering why all the sudden upvotes :D
    .
    I'm actually surprised. There were a lot of great submissions to this challenge. Congrats to everyone who placed, as well as the Runners-up!

  • Blue Dragonfly Racer 8.2 years ago

    @RocketLL thanks for the upvotes!

  • Sky Cup Tournament Guide 8.2 years ago

    @AndrewGarrison that makes sense. Thanks for replying!

  • Sky Cup Tournament Guide 8.2 years ago

    @Ohobs it counts as a crash for both. If they collide twice they're both disqualified.

  • Sky Cup Tournament Guide 8.2 years ago

    @AndrewGarrison It would neat to also see individual tournament specific requirements, such as Pusher props only, or a number of engines requirement (such as only twin engine planes), just to challenge people's building skills a little more.

  • Shark Tooth 8.2 years ago

    @AndrewGarrison I really like that you've decided to go with different racing classes. Should provide some real variety to the tournament.

  • Blue Dragonfly Racer 8.2 years ago

    @Delphinus Which plane did you enter?

  • Shark Tooth Racer 8.2 years ago

    @ahappyape Landing gear aren't necessary for the Shark Tooth Race. It's air start.

  • TVS-VI-2 8.2 years ago

    That's a lot of wings.

  • Blue Dragonfly Racer 8.2 years ago

    @XVIindustries Thanks!

    Yes, it's air start. Props only, and no XML modded engines this time.

  • Gee Bee R-2 Racer 8.2 years ago

    @AviationXpert154 Thanks! Twice!

  • Blue Dragonfly Racer 8.2 years ago

    @Delphinus Thanks!

  • Shark Tooth 8.2 years ago

    @AndrewGarrison So we can't increase engine power through XML, but we can still blend parts and whatnot via xml? If so, can we stack engines that way for contra-rotating props?
    .
    Also, is there a limit on number of engines used?

  • DCGI Solano - OceanView 8.2 years ago

    Wow! Great competition. I can't wait for the next one. I'm already working on my own broken-fast VTOL powered plane.

  • Tournament Delayed 8.2 years ago

    @AgDynamics Is it now? Is it now? Is it now? How about now? Now? Now? Nownownownownownownownownownownownownownownownownownownownow?
    .
    Kind of like that, huh?

  • Oceanview Speedway 8.2 years ago

    Man, I was going to try and sneak in a different entry at the last minute, but it seems it's locked in. I hope my plane doesn't bomb. It tends to not crash about 50% of the time :P

  • Oceanview Speedway 8.2 years ago

    @CodyS 10AM CST, that's central standard time. Right now it's 9:23 CST.

  • Lockheed P-38 Lightning (armed) 8.2 years ago

    @FrozenYoghurt Some day I plan to revisit this plane and do a full rebuild. Don't know when that will be, however.

  • Oceanview Speedway 8.2 years ago

    @BRuthless Oh, cool. Can't believe I completely missed that.

  • Oceanview Speedway 8.2 years ago

    How does one test the AI control with their plane?

  • 10 Pieces WAR! (CLOSED - WINNER IN DESCRIPTION) 8.2 years ago

    I did a challenge like this back before we had the new fuselage parts. It was a lot tougher then. Still a great idea though. I'm sorry I missed the deadline.

  • Sky Cup Tournaments 8.2 years ago

    May we submit replica aircraft to compete, or only original designs?

  • CedCo R17 Venom II 8.2 years ago

    Ah. You're right. I misread the rules. My bad.
    .
    Awesome plane btw.
    @Cedy117

  • CedCo R17 Venom II 8.2 years ago

    Aren't the submissions supposed to be posted as unlisted?

  • Oceanview Speedway 8.2 years ago

    Whew! I made it in before the 1st 128!
    .
    Good luck to everyone!

  • Turbo-bison (Self loading) 8.2 years ago

    @Cedy117 I should have waited and posted on the 19th :P

    Kidding. Thanks for the praise!

  • Turbo-bison (Self loading) 8.2 years ago

    @Delphinus Thanks. Here's hoping :L

  • [CLOSED]CARGO CHALLENGE[LOGO PRIZE][RULES EDIT] 8.3 years ago

    @RocketLL understood. I will probably only submit one. But if I have another cool idea it's good to know I can upload a secondary entry.

  • [CLOSED]CARGO CHALLENGE[LOGO PRIZE][RULES EDIT] 8.3 years ago

    May we attach wheels to the cargo boxes?
    .
    Also, how many entries per person?

  • Macchi M.C.72 8.3 years ago

    @Duder This is a replica racing plane. It never had landing gear. It was launched into the water from a special cart, and took off and landed only from the water. If you'd like to fly an amphibious aircraft, check out some of my other amphibious seaplanes.

  • Supermarine SeaHawk 8.3 years ago

    @Duder I do, when they're meant to be amphibious. Many sea planes in WWII were strictly water landers.

  • RP-4 Air Speed Record 8.3 years ago

    @Brields95 What makes you think he used cheap materials?

  • RP-4 Air Speed Record 8.3 years ago

    All you did was change the color :/

  • RP-4 Air Speed Record 8.3 years ago

    Go to C:/Users/(Your Username)/Appdata/LocalLow/Jundroo/Simpleplanes/AircraftDesigns
    .
    From there you can open your planes' XML files with Notepad, or another similar program. I use Textpad because it's a bit easier to navigate than notepad. You can find a free download for it with a quick google search.

  • RP-4 Air Speed Record 8.3 years ago

    @TheOwlAce Glad you like it!
    .
    I edited the rotation of the rear gear in the XML file to get them like that.

  • Porco Rosso - The Adriano 8.3 years ago

    This looks incredible! How does it not have more upvotes!

  • Detailed Radial Engines 8.3 years ago

    Very nice. Is there any chance you could make a 9 cylinder radial?

  • RP-4 Air Speed Record 8.3 years ago

    @Allstar I've had this model for a while, I just wasn't sure if I should post it. But after looking at it and flying it repeatedly, I'm not sure what else I could add. I decided it was time I shared it.

  • jimbo jet Passenger plane 8.3 years ago

    @jimbojet I can imagine. Most Latin based languages have far less ambiguity than English.

  • Land the damaged C-47 8.3 years ago

    I like it!

  • jimbo jet Passenger plane 8.3 years ago

    @jimbojet :D

    Did you know: If you second guess your plans to spend time at a Native American establishment, that would be a "reservation reservation reservation"?

  • jimbo jet Passenger plane 8.3 years ago

    @Stickman James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.

    Or more accurately:

    James, while John had had "had," had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

  • Destiny- Aspect of Glass 8.3 years ago

    Looks great! Reminds me of the Aegis Redeemer from Star Citizen.
