This is Mister Coats
His birthday is in August
This is Mister Coats in SimplePlanes
Note the long heavy coat
Now if Mister Coats in SimplePlanes looks a bit grumpy, it is because for now all he can do is stand around. So for his birthday, Mister Coats in SimplePlanes wants a ride: An airplane, a boat, a car, even just a scooter... Anything he can use to get around in and explore the virtual SimplePlanes universe.
And this is where you come in:
Your mission -if you choose to accept it- is to build Mister Coats a car, a plane, a boat... something for him to sit in and drive, fly or float around in. You can make him a beautifully rendered historically accurate pioneer airplane and place him in the open pilot's seat.... You place him behind the wheel of a open-roof toy car,.... Or you can just give him a parachute and a giant bottle rocket with a chair on top. As long as it gets him moving around.
So here are the ground rules:
- The aim is to build an aircraft for Mister Coats. So at least his head should be clearly visible in orbit view. The easier it is to see Mister Coats in the build, the better. So smaller builds have a natural advantage. ULM tops sports plane, tops fighter jet, tops airliner.
Technically, the neck of the figurine and everything above is considered 'cockpit' and must be used in this build. The flight controller is in the base of the neck and you must use this controller in order for your build to be a successor
For builds with a solid fuselage, you can opt not to use anything below the neck of the figure, as long as it is believable that Mr. Coats is sitting in the space below (sorry, just pasting his head on the tutorial plane doesn't count)
You are free to change or move the blocks of the figure's body to make Mr Coats sit, crouch or lie down when needed. You can repaint or change his costume but if you add anything to his head make sure he is still recognizable.
You are allowed to animate any part of tht figure's body for extra wow factor.
The entries will be judged on a mobile phone, so limit the part count to 400 or below
All entries must be uploaded by Friday August 1st. At midnight. Judging will begin Saturday August 2nd.
The standard reward of 10 upvote for the first place and 5 for the second and third places will be handed out no later than August 8.
