The "rudder" is actually where the ailerons would be for roll control, where the ailerons are on this build the real one would have elevators, and yaw control is achieved through brakes on each side of the ring.

I kinda wish Lockheed proposed making a new engine for this. Maybe making the fuselage ring wing concept a tad bit wider and incorporating a engine within the ring.
