History
Monarchii lore
MRNS Atago Kokone is the lead ship of the Monarchii Royal Navy's Atago-class destroyer. She is an aegis guided missile destroyer along with the well known aegis-equipped destroyers such as the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, and the new and improved Maya-class destroyer. The Atago-class were succeed the old Kongo-class aegis-equiped destroyer. Little that everyone know that MRNS Atago is the well known ship which served fried chicken nuggets for a side dish of the crewman's food.
She was participated in the first Monarchii War as a part of the naval fleet attacking the MGLA. Her battle and operation record however remains unknown. At the climax of the raging war, three of her sister ships who were assigned in the Monarchii's Invincible Fleet was reported sunk alongside with the flagship super battleship Yamato Aegis in the suicidal operation 'Going Eleven' after last report said they were fighting against a swarm of enemies and flying tanks from a brand new hostile faction called the NeMaR. Eventually during the post-war, she was the surviving Atago-class destroyer along with her sister MRNS Ashigara Dokkoi (nicknamed Ashigara) while the rest of her sisters went perished along with the other fleets, military vehicles, and some of Monarchiians including The Whimsical Whimsy itself during a mysterious event. While the fate of the rest of the ship in her class remains unknown, she and her sister Ashigara is the notable Atago-class destroyers of the Monarchii Royal Navy who participated in the Second Monarchii War serving the loyalist to fight against the reformist.
As the Monarchii War II currently underwent ceasefire, she was docked at Diable Defense naval yard with her sister ship Ashigara, spending the rest of her break time by undergoing repair and resupply, until the war horn to be blown again as a sign for her to being redeployed to the battle zone.
Ships in class (Monarchii lore)
Monarchi Royal Navy was known to have used the aegis-equipped guided missile destroyers such as Atago-class destroyers in their naval inventory, alongside the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and succeed the old Kongo-class destroyers. 3 units of the Atago-class destroyers were assigned in the Yamato Strike Group (aka The Invincible Fleet), but they're ultimately sunk during the suicidal operation 'Going Eleven', exterminated by the NeMaR forces.

Real world lore - JS Atago
Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) began construction of the Aegis-equipped Kongo class in FY1988 as the core ship for air defense of its fleet. With the commission of the Kongo class, each of the four escort flotillas had one Tartar-equipped destroyer and one Aegis-equipped destroyer.
In the 2000s, the steam-powered Tachikaze-class destroyers were nearing the end of their life, and their Tartar Weapon Systems were becoming obsolete. As their replacements, two Aegis-equipped destroyers, Atago class, were built in the FY2002 and 2003 budget.
JS Atago was laid down by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki on April 5, 2004. Launching ceremony happened on August 24, 2005 and she was commissioned on March 15, 2007.
Ships in class (Real world lore)
Unlike it's Monarchii Lore counterpart, there's only 2 ships operated by the JMSDF in real life. The Atago-class would be succeed by the new and improved Maya-class aegis-equipped guided-missile destroyer.
List of the Atago-class destroyers of real world Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force:

Missile controls
Anti-Ship Missile controls
- Requires lock on target, fire and forget.

Multirole Missile controls (RIM-174)
- Just like it's name and purpose, multirole missile providing capability against aircrafts and ships. Requires lock on target, fire and forget.
- LAlt = Launch missile
Side missile launchers might have an unprecision launch while facing straight. You'll probably have to adjust the angle by facing sideways depend on the missile launchers.
Cannon controls:
- VTOL = Rotate left/right.
- Trim = Aim up/down.
- LAlt = Fire.
Sea RAM controls
- Sea RAM fires AA missiles and will automatically aims at target, but requires lock on target.

Startup
- AG7 = Turn on engine, disable/enable the vessel system, control the aircraft.
- AG1 = Deploy helicopter.
CAUTION! When flying, do not turn off the engine at the mid-air or your helicopter will lose control and falling down.
Take-off
- Full throttle.
- Once it is high enough, set the throttle below 60 or 50.
- Your helicopter should go airborne now, if the heli keeps going up you'll have to play with the throttle as well to create some balance (for hovering).

Trivia
The ship namesake shares the same name with a Japanese idol and singer Atago Kokone, a member of Nogizaka46's 6th Generation.
- Eventually her name has "Atago" In it, shares the same name of this destroyer ship class.
One of the ship namesake on the class, MRNS Ai Kayano was named after Ai Kayano, a Japanese voice actress who was known to voice IJN Atago from Azur Lane.
- Ironically, Atago also shares with the name of this guided-missile destroyer class. Meanwhile, the World War II (IJN) counterpart is a heavy cruiser from the Takao-class.
The CIWS of the ship is a fictional configuration of the Japanese 20mm JM61-RFS with additional six-barreled gun.
Credits
- Monarchii for the new funky trees code for the air defense and autocannon which has more extended range from before. Codes are derived from this build. Along with the funky code used for the flak fuse input used for the autocannon. The code goes from this build.

@LunarEclipseSP I guess my brain decided to take a holiday whenever Going Eleven was mentioned ;-;
@MasAgus indeed, I'm afraid if the final result would be inaccurate
@LunarEclipseSP it seems like there is no blueprints
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26
Literally it is. Monarchii War version of the operation 'Ten Go'
@LunarEclipseSP I just realized that going eleven was a reference to ten go 💔
@SPsidearm originally from Japan (real world lore)

@MasAgus I was planned to make the ASEV class destroyer but it is so hard to find the blueprints anywhere
I suggest ASEV
Hope you’re doing well 🙏
